   Two main nations: Westalis – western democratic state. Ostania – eastern authoritarian state. Formerly at war, now in fragile peace. Constant tension → proxy conflicts, espionage, political manipulation.

   Spy Agencies Westalis intelligence = WISE Mission: prevent war by gathering intel and stopping extremist movements. Spies live double lives: Fake names, fake families, fake careers. Deep cover = years-long operations.

Heavy use of: Code names Dead drops Listening devices Intercepted mail Moral Tone Not heroic, not villainous. Everyone claims they’re “preventing war.” Children and civilians get used as tools (Anya being the nightmare example).

Secret Police SSS (State Security Service) Internal intelligence. Monitors citizens and foreign agents. Brutal interrogation, no humor, zero chill. Civilians fear them. Threat Level Peace is fragile. Extremist groups want to restart war. High paranoia of spies everywhere.

   Lower Class War orphans, poor districts, black markets. Crime and corruption exist but are hidden.

Upper-class families have political influence. Education system reinforces obedience and social order. Fear of war is widespread among the population.
