Asakusa is a district in Japan's capital city of Tokyo.
It is a large, heavily populated urban center with tall buildings and bright lights that illuminate the city during the night. Many people walk through crowded marketplaces with dozens of business signs. Unlike Tanjiro's small town, there are cars of carriages guiding citizens through the roads. There is also a trolley system that runs throughout the city. The city sits on a bay decorated with a large fountain tower next to a large body of water.
- #2Butterfly Mansion

The Butterfly Mansion is the manor that the late Flower Hashira Kanae Kocho, Insect Hashira Shinobu Kocho, Tsuguko Kanao Tsuyuri, and assistants Aoi Kanzaki, Sumi Nakahara, Kiyo Terauchi, and Naho Takada live in. The manor is often used as a recovery base for injured Demon Slayers.
The majority of healing at the mansion is done by Shinobu Kocho, though there are also attendants known as Kakushi who run errands and assist in watching over the injured. On top of this, there are others who live in the mansion that are not Demon Slayers, but offer training regiments to facilitate the recovery process and help the injured Demon Slayers reach top condition again. For example, Aoi Kanzaki creates a training regiment meant to help Tanjiro Kamado, Inosuke Hashibira, and Zenitsu Agatsuma recover after their battles on Mount Natagumo.
The first Flower Breathing user planted the cherry blossom tree in the garden of the Butterfly Mansion, and gave it the name "Victory Tree". After the final battle against Muzan Kibutsuji, Kanao Tsuyuri visited the tree to tell it that they are victorious.
- #3Infinity Castle
Keys: Infinity Castle
Enabled · Selective · After character · Order 100 · 100%

The Infinity Castle is the Blood Demon Art and domain of the Biwa Demon Nakime, it is a vast extra-dimensional space that serves as the lair of Muzan Kibutsuji.
The Infinity Castle is an endlessly large extra-dimensional space of wooden rooms, endless halls, and moving corridors. It possesses a warped direction of gravity, allowing demons to stand upright, upside down, or perpendicularly on the walls, or move in physically impossible directions. Its unusual structure and layout as Nakime's Blood Demon Art allows any structure within to shift at her will, though the castle additionally also seems to move on its own.
Using her biwa, she can manipulate the position of any demon inside and take them to any location in her range. During the conclusion of the Lower Ranks meeting, Nakime teleported Muzan to a balcony leading outside despite his original position being deep within the castle; moreover, the doors she used to close around him all seem to constantly shift within the unusual gravity, spinning within themselves as she changes its layout.
The Infinity Castle's range seems to extend beyond its already incomprehensibly large area, as Nakime was able to manipulate Enmu and take him to an unknown town seemingly nowhere close to the castle, even dropping him in place using a supernatural vanishing door. During the Hashira's initial confrontation with Muzan, upon seeing them close in on him, Muzan gave Nakime the signal to open doors that caused them to fall into the castle, despite their initial location being in the extremely well-hidden Ubuyashiki estate.
Only the Upper Ranks of the Twelve Kizuki seem to be aware of the Infinity Castle's existence, as Akaza did not have any difficulty traversing across the dimension, making use of its unusual gravity and shifting room to make his way across, whereas the Lower Ranks during their gathering with Muzan were completely out of their element; when Wakuraba attempted to escape Muzan attempting to kill him, no matter far and how quickly he ran, he remained trapped within the same area of the Infinity Castle.
Due to its unusual warped gravity, impossible structures can be formed within the Infinity Castle. During Akaza's path to the Upper Rank meeting, he fell hundreds of stories past the warped corridors and halls and flew past a large and ornate water garden palace, only to "fall" further past, reaching what seemed to be the bottom and landing onto the floor. This was then revealed to be a wall that was formed in the direction of the shifting columns below him and he was then taken high above the columns and past the ceiling through opening doors, coming across a large maze-like area filled with towering pillars.
Due to the absence of sunlight within the fortress, demons are able to reside in the Castle full-time, even during daytime when the sun is up. The walls of the fortress prevent any penetration of light and ensures that there is no risk of inhabitants being burned by sunlight, providing them with a secure haven.

Mount Fujikasane, is a mountain full of Wisteria blooming every season from the mountain's foot to its slope.
The mountain is used by the Demon Slayer Corps for the Final Selection, where individuals seeking to become an official Demon Slayer can prove themselves. The examinees that pass shall be recognized and receive their own Demon Slayer Uniform, Nichirin Sword and Kasugai Crows.
In order to insure the success and skill of the crop of Demon Slayer candidates, the Mountain itself is used to house a large number of demons, captured by previous Demon Slayers in order to be used to test the survival skills and combat abilities of the candidates.
Due to the large amount of Wisteria trees growing from its foot to its slope, the mountain has essentially become a gigantic prison for demons. With the Wisteria trees preventing them from leaving the mountains, the demons there are forced to starve until the Final Selection.
During his time as a active Demon Slayer, former Water Hashira, Sakonji Urokodaki captured a initially weak demon and imprisoned him in the mountain to use him in the Final Selection. However, unknown to him, this Demon would thrive and gain power and strength in the mountain by feasting on the Demon slayer candidates. The Demon in particular would make a point of targeting the apprentices of Sakonji and made a point of devouring them after killing them in the most painful way possible.
- #5Swordsmith Village
Keys: Swordsmith Base, Swordsmith Village, Swordsmith Residence, Swordsmith Hotspring
Enabled · Selective · After character · Order 100 · 100%
Entry settings
The Swordsmith Village is a secretive settlement nestled within a dense forest. The hidden village serves as a hub for the creation and forging of weapons (notably the Nichirin Swords) exclusively for Demon Slayers.
To safeguard the village from Demon attacks, strict measures are taken to keep the place concealed and its exact location is kept confidential. Demon Slayers who wish to visit the village must travel blindfolded, with their ears and noses plugged, while piggybacking a Kakushi, to prevent information from being leaked to the demons. After some time, the travelers are passed from one Kakushi to another. Furthermore, the routes and Kakushi themselves are frequently changed. Even the Kakushi who transport the travelers remain unaware of the village's precise location. Guided by Kasugai Crows, each Kakushi is directed to the next in line, although even these crows are switched constantly.
All inhabitants of the village are commonly seen wearing variations of hyottoko masks in order to keep their identity concealed, a tactic used to protect them from being tracked.
Within the village, one can find bustling foundries and workshops dedicated to the meticulous craft of forging and repairing Nichirin Swords, the essential weapons of Demon Slayers. Accompanying these workspaces are the residences where the skilled swordsmiths live in. Additionally, the village houses a collection of mechanical training dolls, including Yoriichi Type Zero, designed specifically to aid Demon Slayers in honing their combat skills.
Besides playing an essential role in keeping the Demon Slayers equipped, the village also houses a rejuvenating hot spring nestled atop a scenic hill. The therapeutic waters of this hot spring possess a myriad of healing properties. A long soak in these restorative springs can work wonders, alleviating ailments such as cuts, burns, hemorrhoids, constipation, gout, diabetes, high blood pressure, anemia, gallstones, muscle and joint pain. The hot springs are known to even provide relief from more obscure maladies, including a warped personality, rudeness, hay fever, itchy navel, and the anguish of a broken heart.
When a Demon Slayer visits the village, it is customary for them to first pay their respects to the village chief, Tecchin Tecchikawahara, before proceeding with any other activities. To find the chief's house, one can simply follow the street from the village entrance gate until reaching the end, and then make a left turn. The chief's residence will be located in that direction.
- #6Yoshiwara / Entertainment District

Yoshiwara is a district located in Tokyo, Japan. It is a red light district, a location with a high concentration of prostitution and sex-oriented businesses.
Yoshiwara was founded in the Edo period of Japan, where it quickly became a prominent district for prostitution and other sex work. The highest ranking courtesans were known as Oirans. Three of the most famous and prominent pleasure houses in the district during the Taisho period were the Tokito House, Kyogoku House, and Ogimoto House.
For about a century, before the latest intervention of the Demon Slayer Corps, Yoshiwara became the home and the lair of two extremely powerful demons: the siblings Daki and Gyutaro, the dual holders of the position of Upper Rank Six of the Twelve Kizuki. Owing to Daki's great beauty, experience in sex work, and her unique Blood Demon Art, they made Yoshiwara a successful hunting ground, where they captured and devoured numerous victims over the years. Daki's nigh-immortality and subsequent attempts to hide her true nature started the urban legend of a incredibly beautiful but also incredibly cruel Oiran, the stories passing down generations. Most attempts to stop them by the Demon Slayer Corps were unsuccessful, with Gyutaro having killed 15 Hashira and Daki having killed 7.
- #7Blood Demon Art
Keys: Blood Magic, Blood Demon Art, Demon Magic
Enabled · Selective · After character · Order 100 · 100%
Entry settings
Blood Demon Arts are specialized supernatural abilities possessed by higher-level demons.
Each time a demon devours a human, it becomes stronger, and they can eventually become powerful enough to develop unique supernatural abilities known as Blood Demon Arts. Blood Demon Arts are different from demon to demon, with every power seemingly based on a central theme (i.e. martial arts, sleep, the sea). Most, if not all, Blood Demon Arts are based on a demon's past, personality, ideals, interests, and/or occupation. Moreover, Blood Demon Arts may not have a singular usage, and instead grant multiple abilities under the same concept or theme. As suggested by its name, all supernatural phenomena and effects use their wielders' blood as a medium to manifest themselves in reality. Essentially, Blood Demon Arts are blood magic.
The abilities and effects granted through Blood Demon Arts can vary greatly. Some can be combat-orientated (i.e. creating dozens of blades) or more supplementary and practical (i.e. controlling a fortress, manifesting illusions). Others are more simple and recognizable (i.e. manipulating electricity and ice), while others still are more complex and unorthodox (i.e. creating invisible arrows that control a person's vector, controlling one's biology), thus making the abilities of demon-kind extremely versatile and powerful.
It is implied that Blood Demon Arts can be shared, as seen with Rui being able to share his spider-themed Blood Demon Art with demons in his "family", granting them Blood Demon Arts (as well as characteristics) based on spiders.
Blood Demon Arts are not to be confused with other supernatural abilities possessed by demons including but not limited to their Regeneration, Flesh Manipulation, Extrasensory Perception, and absorption abilities.
- #8Bright Red Nichirin Sword
Keys: Nichirin Sword, Blade, Kakutō
Enabled · Selective · After character · Order 100 · 100%
Entry settings
Bright Red Nichirin Sword (Kakutō or "Bright Red Blade") refers to the ability that turns a Nichirin Sword bright red with special properties for a certain amount of time and is only accessible by Demon Slayers who have awakened the Demon Slayer Mark.
Normally, Nichirin Swords can turn into virtually any color dependent on the user and their Breathing Style. However, there is one color that cannot be normally accessed: a shining bright red. Unlike other colors, a bright red sword has special properties and can only be accessed by Demon Slayers who have awakened the Demon Slayer Mark. Moreover, any Nichirin sword can become bright red regardless of the blade's original color. However, the blade can only stay bright red for a certain amount of time before returning to normal.
The bright red hue that envelops the blade is achieved through deliberate actions intended to raise the blade's temperature, fuelling the conversion of mechanical energy into thermal energy. The following three distinct methods of activation are known:
Friction: Clashing two swords together with enough force that the friction generated between them produces a substantial heat buildup, causing both blades to illuminate in a bright red hue.
Pressure: Gripping a sword with an unwavering strength to exert immense pressure onto the metal surface. This focused pressure produces a localized heating effect, causing the blade to turn bright red. Ignition: Engulfing a sword in flames with Nezuko Kamado's Exploding Blood to raise its temperature to an extreme level. The searing heat of the flames turns the sword bright red. This is the only method which doesn't require a Demon Slayer Mark.
The most notable effect of a bright red Nichirin sword is its ability to hamper or even completely nullify a demon's regeneration. The bright red Nichirin sword also generates extreme heat, which can cause immense pain to demons and cause them to cough up blood. The extent of which a bright red Nichirin sword can hinder a demon's regenerative ability can be quite apparent, as seen with the likes of Hantengu and Muzan Kibutsuji himself taking around a dozen seconds to regenerate damage that would be healed instantly under normal circumstances.
Bright red Nichirin swords also seem to be able to nullify the regeneration of demons that have just been decapitated, thus permanently killing them even if they managed to regrow their heads after being decapitated by a Nichirin sword. This can be inferred when Kokushibo, who had just overcome his weakness of decapitation from Nichirin swords, slowly crumbled away and was unable to regenerate despite being stabbed in a non-lethal spot by a bright red Nichirin sword.
Yoriichi Tsugikuni's bright red Nichirin sword is the most potent out of all Demon Slayers, being able to burn on a cellular level and leave scars that even the Demon King himself can't heal even after centuries.Furthermore, once slashed by Yoriichi's Nichirin sword, the cells in the affected region will be continuously burned for centuries.
- #9Demon Slayer Mark

The Demon Slayer Mark (Kisatsu Aza) is a mysterious marking that Demon Slayers can awaken under specific conditions.
Demon Slayer Marks are irregularities on a Demon Slayer's skin that resembles a birthmark. It commonly appears on the face or another visible location of the body of Demon Slayers. Each Demon Slayer possesses a unique pattern to their Mark which appear to be based on the Breathing Style they utilize; the only known exceptions are Tanjiro Kamado, Yoriichi Tsugikuni, and Kokushibo, all three of which have Demon Slayer Marks resembling flames that manifest on the left side their foreheads. The Mark can only be awakened under very specific conditions and grants special abilities while also enhancing pre-existing traits of the bearer. Once awakened, the Mark can disappear after a period of time along with its effects, though it can be re-activated (as seen with Muichiro Tokito and Tanjiro Kamado) by meeting the same conditions, or through training to maintain the "Marked State" to prevent it from dissipating in the first place. One special property of the Mark is that it is able to spread from one bearer to the other as if they were resonating which each other.
Tanjiro Kamado's Demon Slayer Mark has been shown to increase in length repeatedly after awakening it, although it is unknown if this trait is exclusive to him or if it also manifests in other Demon Slayers.
Bright Red Nichirin Sword: Bearers of the Demon Slayer Mark can dye their Nichirin Swords a shining bright red color mainly through clashing their blade with another marked swordsman's or gripping it with tremendous force. Bright Red Nichirin Swords have the ability to generate intense heat and also hamper the regeneration of demons, some of which on the level of the strongest Upper Ranks of the Twelve Kizuki and the Demon King himself.
Enhanced Physical Capabilities: Upon awakening the Demon Slayer Mark, the physical strength and speed of the bearer is exponentially increased to the point where Hashira or Hashira-level Demon Slayers are able to overpower and defeat the Upper Ranks of the Twelve Kizuki and grow in power comparable to the highest among them. It is implied that the bearer's physical arm strength is increased by around 100x after awakening the mark, though it could be a hyperbole and thus the value could be much lower. The increase in the speed of the bearer is quite apparent as well, as seen when Muichiro Tokito, who was initially having trouble dealing with Gyokko's various techniques, became capable of regularly out-speeding and even blitzing Gyokko in his true form after activating his mark.
Enhanced Resistance: The Demon Slayer Mark increases the bearer's resistance to Muzan Kibutsuji's demon-transforming blood, much like Total Concentration Breathing.
Transparent World: Bearers of the Demon Slayer Mark can potentially gain access and see into the Transparent World, allowing them to perceive the bodies of others as if their skin was transparent. This enables them to track the flow of blood, breathing, muscular contractions and joint movements of the person they are looking at, which can be used to predict their movements and evade their attacks with ease. Additionally, those who can access the Transparent World can perceive the world in slow-motion, further increasing their reaction and movement speed.

For one to awaken the Demon Slayer Mark, they must survive extremely life-threatening conditions, specifically a heart rate of over 200 beats per minute and a body temperature of over 39° Celsius (102.2° Fahrenheit), conditions which can prove to be fatal in most cases. Muichiro Tokito states that survival is the key difference that separates those that are marked and those who fail to awaken it.
However, perhaps the most important prerequisite is being in contact with an individual that possesses the Mark or has been marked before. Without fulfilling this condition, it cannot be awakened at all.
- #11Demon Slayer Mark Origin
Keys: Kisatsu Aza, Slayer Mark, Demon Slayer Mark
Enabled · Selective · After character · Order 100 · 100%
Entry settings
During the Sengoku Era, the Golden Age of Demon Slayers, the progenitors of the first ever Breathing Styles all manifested markings on their bodies, which later came to be known as Demon Slayer Marks. The first wielder of the Demon Slayer Mark is Yoriichi Tsugikuni, the strongest Demon Slayer in existence as well as the progenitor of Breathing Styles. Unlike other Demon Slayers that have to meet specific conditions to activate the Mark, Yoriichi was born with it. Upon joining the Demon Slayer Corps, Yoriichi spread the Mark to all other swordsmen in the organization.
Despite how common the Mark was among the Demon Slayers during that era, most records of the Mark were lost to time either because the bearers then did not think preserving the information was important and/or because the information was lost in the many times the Demon Slayer Corps was nearly annihilated.
- #12Demon Slayer Mark Curse
Keys: Kisatsu Aza, Slayer Mark, Demon Slayer Mark
Enabled · Selective · After character · Order 100 · 100%
Entry settings
Awakening the Demon Slayer Mark comes at a steep price. Demon Slayers who have awakened their mark are said to, without exception, die before reaching the age of 25. Kokushibo states that awakening the mark merely reduces the lifespans of their bearers in exchange for greater power, while Gyomei Himejima describes it as "paying one's lifespan in advance in the exchange for a greater physique." However, Kokushibo managed to survive through accepting Muzan Kibutsuji's offer to become a demon, living for roughly another four centuries after aging past 25, indicating that gaining eternal life through demonification allows one to cheat the mark's curse.
Despite what the curse entails, it is still possible to awaken the mark after a Demon Slayer is older than 25, evident in Gyomei awakening it along with gaining its benefits. Kokushibo surmised that due to this unique situation, Gyomei would die within a few hours of activating it, which came to pass after the Demon Slayer Corps' final battle against Muzan, though it is possible that he died due to the injuries he sustained during the battle rather than the curse itself. Furthermore, Yoriichi Tsugikuni, the first user of the mark, managed to live past the age of 80, though this can also be explained by the fact that he was born with it.
- #13Extrasensory Perception
Keys: ESP, Combative Perception, Sixth Sense, Extrasensory Perception, Hyper Awareness
Enabled · Selective · After character · Order 100 · 100%
Entry settings
[Extrasensory Perception is the supernatural ability to sense things that cannot be perceived by one's natural senses.
Extrasensory Perception (or ESP) grants the user a "sixth sense" which enables them to sense the paranormal or supernatural. In the world of Kimetsu no Yaiba, ESP is utilized by both Demon Slayers and demons in two ways: hyper awareness and combative clairvoyance. While never outright stated, there are two types of ESP: general ESP which demons and Demon Slayers alike possess and specialized ESP which come from supernatural abilities such as Blood Demon Arts. Generally, more refined ESP is associated with being a more capable and skilled combatant.
Auras function as a sort of beacon which demons and Demon Slayers can pick up through their ESP. The auras of extremely strong demons, such as the Upper Ranks of the Twelve Kizuki, can induce effects such as fear, shuddering, breathlessness, minor pain, and weakness. The aura of Muzan Kibutsuji could even crack glass in his surroundings when he was incensed.]
[Hyper Awareness: Users of ESP are more acutely aware of the entities in their surroundings through perceiving their presence (or aura), which allows them to pin-point their locations without needing to look at them.
Most Demon Slayers (particularly Hashira), are able to sense the presence of demons from an extreme distance. Muichiro Tokito describes demons as having strange aura, possibly being as to why their auras are so easily distinguished from that of humans. Kyojuro Rengoku describes Upper Ranks as having a heavy and overwhelming aura. Muzan himself states that skilled Demon Slayers such as the Hashira would be able to tell a demon's at work in Yoshiwara quite quickly.
While mostly speculative, demons appear to have sharper ESP, as Upper Ranks such as Kokushibo and Doma were able to tell Akaza died when they no longer detected his presence despite the two being extremely far away from Akaza. Moreover, Muzan Kibutsuji was able to pin-point the locations of all the Demon Slayers spread across an entire mountain and later, during the final battle, sensed that they were coming back to life and rejoining the battle. Additionally, Muzan mentioned that demons can discern humans by blood type, disease strains, and even their genes.]
[Combative Perception: ESP can also be used to great effect during combat, mainly through sensing an opponent's bloodlust and murderous intent. Through sensing bloodlust, users are more aware of when and where their opponent will attack, giving more time to prepare countermeasures.
Hashira such as Kyojuro Rengoku possess extremely heightened bloodlust perception, being able to detect the murderous intent of a girl trying to shatter his Spiritual Core while Kyojuro was asleep, and acted on instinct to prevent himself from being harmed.
Inosuke Hashibira developed a more powerful form of bloodlust sensing with the aid of his unnaturally sharp sense of touch, allowing him to feel where his opponent will strike as sharp pricks and stings at the area where they are looking at.]
Through his Compass Needle (Rashin), Akaza is able to detect something he calls "Fighting Spirit (Tōki)", which is essentially one's intent to fight and cause harm. Through this detection, Akaza can accurately discern where his opponent's are in his immediate surroundings, to the point of parrying surprise attacks outside his line of sight, and also pin-point where their weak points are. Moreover, he can also use Fighting Spirit as a means to measure how strong a being is at a glance like he did with Kyojuro, correctly identifying him as a Hashira.
Some Marked Demon Slayers can see into the Transparent World, a special form of ESP which enables them to see-through the skin of living beings. By seeing how their muscles contract and their blood-flow, users can also accurately predict where they are going to strike.
The only known way to stop exuding bloodlust and Fighting Spirit is by entering the Selfless State, a state of tranquility that erases one's presence from the battlefield entirely.]
- #14Regeneration

Regeneration is the ability to passively heal from one's own injuries at an extremely fast rate, an ability which is shared and possessed by all demons. Their regenerative prowess enables them to heal from all kinds of damage, from small cuts, to severed limbs, to pulverization and even decapitation. A demon's regeneration usually activates immediately after any sort of damage is inflicted and can take anywhere from a handful of seconds to just mere moments to completely recover. There doesn't seem to be a limit to what or how much a demon can regenerate, thus making them essentially invincible.
All demons' regeneration seem to linked to their physiology, that is, the amount of Muzan Kibutsuji's demon-transforming blood they have assimilated, with greater blood assimilation resulting in faster and more potent regeneration. Hence, stronger demons, like members of the Twelve Kizuki, have overall more powerful regenerative abilities than weaker demons.
Generally, regeneration functions as a sort of immortality for demons, as no amount of damage inflicted to them could permanently incapacitate or kill them. Even lesser demons such as the Temple Demon, didn't die after his head was kicked off by Nezuko Kamado, and his regeneration was potent enough for his severed head to begin regrowing his limbs.Stronger demons, such as Yushiro, can recover from having his brain completely smashed to bits in a matter of seconds.
As demons become more powerful, their regeneration speed increases proportionally. Non-Twelve Kizuki demons such as the Father Spider Demon took several seconds to regrow his left arm, while Akaza, an Upper Rank, regrew both of his arms faster than the trained eye can see, making it seem like it happened instantaneously. After being decapitated, Hantengu's body regrew a head instantly while his severed head regenerated an entire new body in around the same time.[4] Muzan himself can regenerate as he is getting injured, tricking even the enhanced perception of Marked Hashira into making them think they never injured him in the first place.
Though it may be a trait unique to her, Nezuko Kamado has displayed the ability to reattach her body by controlling the blood that connects them.
It has been shown that demons can control their regeneration up to a certain extent, either forcefully slowing down their recovery speed or stopping it completely.
- #15Regeneration Weakness
Keys: Immortal, Immortality, Regen, Regeneration

A demon's regeneration is not perfect. The one key limitation to a demon's regeneration is that they are unable to recover from damage caused by sunlight, thus permanently killing demons. However, if their whole body isn't incinerated by sunlight, it is implied that they can still heal.
The Demon Slayer Corps has weaponized this weakness through the use of Nichirin swords which, through their extensive absorption of sunlight, allows Demon Slayers to cause wounds that are more difficult to heal from. However, Nichirin swords can only permanently kill demons if they completely cut through and sever the neck of demons. It is suggested that this method works because their regeneration is the weakest at their necks, and therefore the introduction of sunlight, in the form of Nichirin swords, in that vulnerable area would be able to permanently kill demons.
Nichirin swords are made even more deadly in the form of Bright Red Nichirin Swords, which have extreme regeneration-hampering properties, even on parts other than the neck of demons. One of the most prominent showcases of this trait is when Muzan took several seconds to heal his severed arms while it would normally be healed the moment it was severed.
Wisteria poison is also a tool that can be used to permanently kill demons when inflicted on various points of their body. While stronger demons may resist and adapt to its effects, a large enough dosage can slow down and negate the regeneration of the likes of Doma, Upper Rank Two.
Drugs with the capability to biologically age a demon are another tool to impact regeneration. The best known example is the drug that Tamayo created in cooperation with Shinobu Kocho and Yushiro, which she used on Muzan. After being injected with the drug, his nigh-absolute regenerative abilities drastically decreases the more time passes.
Muzan himself has also shown the ability to forcefully stop the regeneration of demons and permanently kill them either through cellular destruction or the Curse of Kibutsuji.

A more advanced level of regeneration, which is possessed by the demons among the Twelve Kizuki's Upper Ranks. Their incredible regenerative abilities activate the moment they are injured and usually finish healing in the same moment as well depending on the severity of the damage inflicted. They are able to survive wounds even the regeneration of lesser demons would not be able to combat, such as wisteria-based poisons and attacks from the Hashira. While mostly speculative, it is shown that the strongest Upper Ranks can overcome decapitation by Nichirin swords and regrow their heads, presumably if they have a strong enough will to live.

Total Concentration Breathing (Zen Shūchū no kokyū) is an esoteric breathing technique used by Demon Slayers.
Total Concentration Breathing is a breathing technique which involves expanding one's lungs to intake as much air as possible, accelerating one's blood flow and heartbeat while increasing their inner body temperature, resulting in their bones and muscles becoming more excited.
Using Total Concentration Breathing essentially enhances the user's physical traits and capabilities while still remaining human. Such traits include superhuman strength, speed, stamina, durability, endurance, and the mental abilities needed to keep up with their superhuman bodies, such as a faster thought process and reaction time. Being more proficient in Total Concentration Breathing is key in raising one's survivability while fighting demons.
Strength: Users of Total Concentration Breathing gain superhuman physical strength, being able to perform feats such as slicing through boulders and trees, generating huge gusts of wind with a single sword swing, effortlessly breaking a person's arm, shattering ribs, picking up and flinging another person with a single arm, launching a person tens of meters, and moving massive boulders with their bare hands.
Speed: Users of Total Concentration Breathing have the ability to move and travel at superhuman speeds, being able to easily move faster than the eye can see making it seem as if one teleported, cross great distances instantaneously, and evade extremely fast attacks such as sound or lightning.
Stamina & Endurance: Users of Total Concentration Breathing possess inhuman stamina and endurance. Users can remain active for prolonged periods of time without tiring out. Tanjiro Kamado has once lived through 7 days of extremely harsh training where he was constantly fighting and being physically wounded without food, sleep, and water only when it rained. During the Infinity Castle Arc, the Demon Slayers had to fend off Lower Rank-level demons and even face off Upper Ranks for around 5 hours before engaging in battle with Muzan Kibutsuji until sunrise.
- #18Total Concentration: Constant
Keys: Total Concentration: Constant, Zen Shūchū Jōchū

Entry settings
Total Concentration: Constant (Zen Shūchū Jōchū) is a Total Concentration Breathing state during the morning, noon, and night, and even while asleep that advanced Demon Slayers, such as the Hashira, can constantly maintain. There is an immense difference in strength, speed, and stamina between someone who can maintain Total Concentration Breathing at all times and someone who cannot. By doing it every minute of the day, one's physical fitness drastically improves.
Learning to maintain a constant state of Total Concentration Breathing requires tremendous effort, though, the skill itself is noted to be quite elementary despite the required effort. When Tanjiro first heard of the constant technique, he thought it was impossible as he already found it extremely hard to just use the breathing technique for just a little and when he started practicing it for a longer period, he felt like dying. His lungs and head would hurt and his eardrums would pound, and for a second he was terrified that his heart was coming out of his ears.
The training process involves blowing into a special type of super durable dried gourd. The objective is to blow into the gourd with enough strength to make the gourd break apart. As training progresses, the gourd is replaced by larger and larger variations of the same type of gourd. The largest known gourd is about the size of a chair.
To be able to improve Total Concentration Breathing and blow the gourd, the user should work on their lung power first. Tanjiro did this by getting up early and run around which works out his lungs with fast movements. He also practices holding his breath. Lastly, as meditation helps with concentration, he also meditates by sitting in a Siddhasana pose on the roof of the Butterfly Mansion, and breathing slowly and deeply circulating the air all the way to the fingertips. After fifteen days, he could run longer and his lungs have gotten stronger. Tanjiro also asked Naho Takada, Kiyo Terauchi and Sumi Nakahara to hit his covers with blanket beaters when he stops doing Total Concentration Breathing during his sleep. After ten more days, he managed to successfully maintain the breathing technique an entire day without stopping and was able blow the largest gourd.

At a more advanced level, Total Concentration Breathing is also capable of slowing down the circulation of poison in the bloodstream and even clotting wounds from severe injuries. By focusing on every inch of the body and raising the accuracy of one's Breathing, one can spread their sensitivity throughout one's body and detect and even heal hidden internal wounds they may have.
After Tanjiro Kamado was stabbed by the Train Engineer with an awl, Kyojuro Rengoku taught him to use the technique to detect the ruptured blood vessel in his stomach and then use hemostasis to stop the bleeding. During his fight with Kokushibo, Sanemi Shinazugawa was, in addition to controlling his muscles to prevent his organs from falling out, able to stop his bleeding from multiple lethal wounds by using his breathing to near-instantly coagulate his blood, a feat Kokushibo believes should not be possible for a human.
Tanjiro Kamado displayed a technique called Recovery Breathing (Kaifuku no kokyū), which, by taking a brief moment to focus and steady his breath, allows him to recover from fatigue and stiff muscles that prevent his body from moving after using Hinokami Kagura twice in a row. He used this after he had collapsed on the ground from using Hinokami Kagura to allow his body to move again and prevent himself from dying from Daki's attack. He later tried to perform it again to prevent himself from blacking out from exhaustion and lack of breath, but couldn't find a moment to do so due to the combined assault of Daki and Gyutaro.

The Transparent World (Sukitōru Sekai) is a supernatural ocular ability only accessible to Demon Slayers that have awakened the Demon Slayer Mark.
Demon Slayers that have awakened the Mark can utilize a special form of ocular extrasensory perception that alters their vision, allowing them to perceive other living beings as if they were transparent, only being able to see the inner workings of their bodies. Most notably, users are able to perceive the flow of blood, breathing, muscular contractions and joint movements of the creature they are looking at. Potentially, one can use the Transparent World's power to see inside an enemy's body as a way to predict and evade their opponent's attacks, as well as to find openings for their own strikes. The Transparent World can also be accessed by those that are blind as seen when Gyomei Himejima was not only able to form a clear image of Kokushibo in his head, but also perceive his internal organs after awakening this ability.
Additionally, the user's perception of rapid and brief events is heightened, to the point where normally incomprehensibly fast objects can be perceived naturally, thus dramatically increasing their movement speed and reflexes.
Due to the varying circumstances of their awakening, the specifics of how a user accesses the Transparent World is currently unknown. However, one common theme surrounding the accessing of this ability is that the user must focus on looking at their target.

Final Selection (Saishū Senbetsu) is a selective process for individuals who seek to become a recognized Demon Slayer of the Demon Slayer Corps.
Final Selection takes place on Mount Fujikasane, where wisteria flowers bloom every season from the mountain's foot to its slope. The area around the mountaintop does not have any wisteria flowers and is infested with demons, which were caught alive and placed on the mountain by existing Demon Slayers. Since wisteria is poisonous to demons, they remain trapped inside the mountain and cannot leave. Most of the demons captured are relatively weak, and have only killed up to two or three people, presenting enough of a challenge for candidates to test their skills. However, there was one example of an abnormally strong demon that managed to kill and devour over fifty candidates for decades.
At nightfall, the candidates are instructed to ascend the stairs leading to the mountaintop shrine and await the commencement of the event. Nearly twenty young swordsmen usually participate in each iteration. Kiriya Ubuyashiki and Kanata Ubuyashiki, representing the Ubuyashiki family, act as the event organizers and will arrive together to brief the candidates on the rules. The exam entails surviving seven consecutive nights on the mountaintop, relying solely on their own resources without external assistance. Candidates who manage to survive all seven nights successfully are granted the opportunity to join the esteemed ranks of the Demon Slayer Corps as official Demon Slayers.
After seven days, the exam ends in the early morning and the surviving candidates gather once again near the mountaintop shrine. The Ubuyashiki organizers extend their congratulations and announce that the successful participants will be provided with their very own Demon Slayer Corps uniform. Measurements are taken to ensure a proper fit, and their rank is engraved, starting at the initial Mizunoto rank. The newly inducted Demon Slayers are also given the opportunity to select their preferred ore for their Nichirin Sword, which will be crafted by skilled swordsmiths and delivered to them two weeks later. Additionally, each member is assigned a Kasugai Crow, a messenger essential for communication with the Corps.
Usually only a handful of candidates survive. The Corps' leader Kagaya Ubuyashiki is satisfied with any number, as the amount of Demon Slayers would nevertheless increase with each Final Selection.

Demons (Oni) are an ancient race of monstrous and malevolent beings and the central antagonists of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.
Demons are a carnivorous, vampire-like species whose primary diet is humans. They are also nocturnal as they are weak to sunlight, though they also stay up during the day as they don't require sleep. Demons have an abnormally powerful physical constitution and potent regenerative abilities, making them immune to normal weaponry and granting them the ability to heal from any wound with ease, even re-growing their head. Only the Nichirin Swords, weapons made from special ore with sunlight absorption properties, can inflict life-threatening wounds. However, even with a Nichirin Sword, the only method guaranteed to kill a demon is through decapitation. Demons are also known to hate wisteria, which are poisonous to them and whose smell is repudiated by them.
Practically all demons possess a murderous instinct to kill and devour humans, and have lost most of their memories from their human life. While they do still retain their original personality, most times it becomes a darker version of what it used to be, often corrupted by their core beliefs and their past. However, there are a few demons who have completely retained their human emotions and memories, such as Nezuko Kamado, Tamayo and Yushiro. Certain members of the Twelve Kizuki also retain their human memories such as Rui (though he eventually lost his memories later on), Kaigaku, Kyogai, Doma, and Kokushibo. All demons do regain their memories moments before they die, which possibly means that demons also have their lives flash before their eyes before they turn into complete ash.

Demons are all, for the most part, connected to their progenitor, Muzan Kibutsuji. All demons pledge obedience to Muzan, who uses fear and manipulation to maintain loyalty. However, Muzan's control over his progeny is not omnipotent. An individual with a strong will might be able to sever their connection with Muzan, rendering them immune to his curse and making them mostly undetectable by him.

Demons are not born naturally; they are all originally humans who have been transformed into demons later in life. The very first demon, Muzan, underwent an inadvertent transformation when his doctor administered him an experimental medicine containing the primary component of the Blue Spider Lily, in an effort to cure his terminal illness. After becoming a demon, he discovered his enhanced physiology and, while he enjoyed the power that it gave him, he also discovered his vulnerability to sunlight, which caused severe burns upon exposure. Throughout his thousand-year existence, Muzan sought to create more demons, driven by the hope that one of them would undergo a mutation that would grant them the ability to withstand sunlight. This pursuit was not aimed at increasing the overall number of demons, but rather focused on finding the Chosen Demon whom he can absorb to grant him the power to overcome his vulnerability to sunlight.
As the progenitor of demons and the source from which nearly all demons originate, Muzan is the only person in the world who possesses blood that has the unique power to transform humans into demons. His cells permeate within all the demons he creates, serving as the foundation of their existence. Consequently, when Muzan is eliminated, all the demons he has spawned will cease to exist.
New demons are created by exposing humans to Muzan's blood, which triggers a transformative process, provided the individuals can withstand the resulting mutations. It should be noted that this is not a mystical process, but a biological one, performed at a cellular level, which suggests that Muzan's blood and the Blue Spider Lily medicine have mutagenic properties. There are three primary methods by which demonification is accomplished:
-
Forceful injection by Muzan: This method involves Muzan personally injecting a controlled amount of his blood into a human, achieved through attacks or by taking advantage of an injured person. The contact of the victim's open wound with his blood initiates the transformation.
-
Recruitment by Muzan: This method involves Muzan seeking out vulnerable humans he deems worthy to become a demon and convince them to willingly accept his invitation to become a demon, though on some occasions, he would not tell his victims that he was planning to transform them. He then shares his blood with them, which triggers the transformation.
-
Recruitment by an Upper Rank: Upper Ranks also have the power to transform people into demons. This method involves the Upper Ranks of the Twelve Kizuki providing their blood to humans they deem strong enough to become a powerful demon. The blood of these Upper Ranks alone does not possess the power to convert humans into demons. Instead, it serves as a signal to Muzan that they intend to transform the recruited individual. Once Muzan grants his approval, the blood undergoes a transformation, becoming capable of turning humans into demons. This invitation can only be extended by the Upper Ranks.

- #25Muzan Kibutsuji's Blood
Keys: Muzan Kibutsuji, Muzan

Due to the alteration of bodies by Muzan's blood, having a greater quantity of his blood results in increased power. However, the majority of humans are unable to withstand the extreme transformation caused by a large amount of his blood, leading to the destruction of their cells and their bodies disintegrating into ash. Consequently, it is challenging for Muzan to find individuals who possess the resilience to withstand a sufficiently high concentration of his blood necessary to transform into an Upper Rank-level demon, though this can be mitigated by giving demons smaller doses of blood over a period of time.
Those who practice Breathing Styles exhibit greater resilience to the transformative effects of Muzan's blood. As a result, a significantly larger quantity of Muzan's blood is required and a longer period of time is needed for Breathing users to undergo transformation into demons. For instance, the process of transformation for Kokushibo required an extensive period of three full days to complete. This stands in stark contrast to the relatively quick transformations observed in other demons, such as the Asakusa Demon, which occurred in mere seconds, or Nezuko, whose transformation took several hours. Following this, Muzan lost interest in turning swordsmen who employ Breathing techniques. Additionally, there are individuals who possess complete resistance to his blood, although they are exceptionally rare.
In addition to Muzan, Tamayo is also able to create demons, albeit through scientific means rather than blood-sharing. However, this method is far less efficient, as it took her two hundred years to develop and was only put into practice once when she converted Yushiro to save him from a terminal illness. Prior to the final battle, Tamayo also succeeded in transforming her cat, Chachamaru, into a demon.

The first demon that is said to have existed was Muzan Kibutsuji. The one who turned him into a demon was a generous doctor from the Heian Period, who wanted to save Muzan from death since, at the time, he was diagnosed with a disease which would kill him before he turned twenty. Out of frustration and thinking that the treatment would be useless and only cause him more suffering, Muzan killed the doctor before the latter could finish the treatment by letting Muzan consume the final part of his Blue Spider Lily medicine.
Shortly after, Muzan came to realize that the treatment had in fact worked and the effect was just delayed, prolonging his life, although at the cost of his humanity. He soon regretted killing the doctor, as he found out that becoming a demon made him unable to expose himself to sunlight anymore, as it burned him. In order to conquer the sunlight, he needed to complete the medicine made by the doctor, whom he had killed, or consume a demon that was immune to sunlight. Obsessed with walking under the sun once more and getting rid of his weakness, Muzan has made his the life goal to find the Blue Spider Lily by creating demons with his blood, in hopes that one day, a demon would come along to either be able to withstand sunlight or be able to find the rare flower.

Even the weakest of demons possess inhuman strength, speed and endurance, being able to outmatch the average person in all physical categories effortlessly. For example, the Temple Demon and Swamp Demon can both outmatch Tanjiro in terms of speed, moving faster than he can perceive or react, in spite of his persistence and skill in combat. Even the weakest members of the Twelve Kizuki, like Rui, can cause Tanjiro to cough up blood with casual punches and kicks, while Lower Rank demons with no combat background, namely Enmu, can evade Tanjiro's attacks and techniques without much effort. A demon's physical abilities are implied to be directly tied to the amount of Muzan's blood they have assimilated and how much humans they have consumed.

Sunlight: The greatest threat to demons is sunlight, which burns their skin, ignites their cells, severely limits their regeneration, causes them to burst into flames and fatally turns them into ashes. Even Muzan himself shares this weakness. The only demons to have developed the ability to withstand sunlight are Nezuko Kamado and Tanjiro Kamado.
Nichirin Swords: Nichirin Swords are blades made out of Scarlet Crimson Iron Sand and Scarlet Crimson Ore, which absorbed sunlight to such an extent that a decapitation strike with such a weapon can instantly kill a demon. There are exceptions, however, as Muzan, Akaza, and Kokushibo overcame this weakness and survived decapitation by these blades. In the case of Daki and Gyutaro, both had to be decapitated before the other reattached their sibling's head.
Starvation: A demon needs to eat human flesh (or at least drink human blood) to survive, the exception being Nezuko.
Wisteria: Wisteria is a plant that is poisonous to demons, and releases a scent that can repel demons. Extract from the plant can be used to create deadly and highly potent poison mixtures to easily kill lesser demons in small amounts, and later contributed to the death of Upper Rank Two Doma, though he had to ingest over 700 times the lethal dosage.
Curse of Kibutsuji: Every demon that assimilated Muzan's blood is also inflicted with a curse which activates if they call out divulge any information about him, even something as minor as his last name: "Kibutsuji". When activated, their regeneration will cease and the cells belonging to Muzan inside the demon will kill them. It has been shown to work both automatically, such as when one demon was immediately killed upon accidentally saying his last name, or by Muzan himself remotely, such as when he killed another demon on his own accord.
Because of this, many demons regard Muzan with great fear and respect, simply referring to him as "that Man" or "Him" in order to prevent the curse from being activated, while demons within the Twelve Kizuki refer to him as "Lord" or "Master".

During this selection, examinees must survive for seven days on the mountain top of Mount Fujikasane, a perilous domain infested with demons. The examinees must rely solely on the skills they have developed in training. The majority of candidates participating in the Final Selection have undergone extensive training under the guidance of a cultivator of a Breathing Style. Only when these candidates have reached a satisfactory level of skill and competence, are they entrusted by their Cultivator to partake in the selection. However, there is one exceptional case of a Demon Slayer who entered on their own volition without previous training.
Candidates who complete the Final Selection are issued the standard uniform, as well as being given the opportunity to choose the ore for their Nichirin Sword, which is designed to eliminate demons efficiently. During the onboarding following the Final Selection, each swordsman has their rank inscribed on Mount Fujikasane, an area adorned with Wisteria flowers. The engraving takes place through a technology called "Wisteria Engraving" and may cause an itchy or tickling sensation on the swordsman's hand. As the swordsman progresses in their Demon Slayer career, they have a means to check their current rank. By uttering a password and clenching their fist, the symbol of their rank will swell up on the back of their hand as the muscles expand. The Tsuguko position acts as a wild card for the Hashira position in the Demon Slayer Corps, which can only be obtained by a select few who have impressed the current Hashira. Becoming a Tsuguko to a Hashira can be achieved through two methods:
Application: by applying for the position and being accepted. An example of a Demon Slayer using this method is Genya Shinazugawa, who ardently desired to become a Hashira. Despite lacking the ability to use a Breathing Style, Genya persistently sought to be Stone Hashira Gyomei Himejima's Tsuguko, who is the strongest Hashira of the current generation. While Gyomei didn't make him his Tsuguko, he still provided training and guidance to Genya.
Scouting: by being scouted by a current Hashira. An example of this method being used is when the Flame Hashira: Kyojuro Rengoku personally extended an invitation to Tanjiro Kamado to become his Tsuguko, recognizing his potential and skills.

To be a member of the Hashira, a Demon Slayer must be among the strongest combatants in the entirety of the Demon Slayer Corps. There are two known methods (both extremely difficult) that allow one to prove that they are worthy of becoming a Hashira: the first method is to accumulate a demon kill count of at least 50 as a Kinoe-ranked Demon Slayer, or slay a member of the Twelve Kizuki. The second method is being a Tsuguko of a Hashira, which requires immense talent. Additionally, Tsuguko can only inherit the rank, if their respective Hashira dies or retires.
The effort required to achieve either of these methods requires almost five years worth of training, though, the talented might take only two or so years to do so. However, there were two cases that were much faster than that; Muichiro Tokito and Gyomei Himejima, who managed to rise to the rank of Hashira just two months after becoming Demon Slayers.

The Demon Slayer Corps (Kisatsutai) is an organization that has existed since ancient times, dedicating its existence to protecting humanity from demons.
The Demon Slayer Corps is an organization dedicated to hunting and killing demons. Most members of the Demon Slayer Corps are combatants, known as Demon Slayers.
As the Demon Slayer Corps isn't officially recognized by the government, its members are forced to work in secrecy, which means that Demon Slayers cannot openly carry their swords in public. The majority of people are unaware of the existence of demons, and even if Demon Slayers were to reveal the truth about their job, they would be met with skepticism and disbelief from most individuals. Allowing Demon Slayers to openly wield swords would only incite chaos and confusion among the general population. By maintaining a low profile and avoid drawing unnecessary attention, they can carry out their duties covertly and effectively. Nevertheless, whispers of the Demon Slayers have permeated public consciousness, existing as mere folklore in the minds of some. However, when civilians encounter demons or witness a Demon Slayer engaging a demon firsthand, they come face-to-face with the reality of their existence and the truth behind the tales they've heard.
Without any support from the government or other sponsors, the Demon Slayer Corps relies solely on the resources provided by the Ubuyashiki family for its daily operations. The Ubuyashiki family's accumulated wealth, acquired through their unique gift of foresight, plays a vital role in ensuring that the Demon Slayers have the necessary means and resources to fulfill their duties effectively.

The Flame Hashira Chronicles (Rekidai-en hashira no sho) is a book that chronicles the rich history of Flame Breathing. The records in the book have been diligently preserved and handed down through successive generations of the Rengoku family.
he book contains notes written by various Flame Hashira throughout history. The oldest notes date back to the Sengoku period, written by a Rengoku ancestor Demon Slayer who was the first user of Flame Breathing. Passed down through centuries of generations of the Rengoku family, these records have been meticulously preserved until the Taishō era.
The book delves into the origins of Flame Breathing, revealing its roots in Sun Breathing, the original and foundational Breathing Style from which all others have derived. Sun Breathing is described as the very first technique ever created, holding a significant place in the history of Breathing Styles. The book strongly asserts that all subsequent styles are mere imitations of Sun Breathing, deemed blatant copies that are inferior in comparison. It is noted in the texts that practitioners of Sun Breathing traditionally adorn themselves with Hanafuda earrings, further signifying their connection to the ancient technique.
Additionally, the book documented a gripping account of the fateful battle between Yoriichi Tsugikuni and Demon Progenitor Muzan Kibutsuji. Yoriichi himself recounted the clash to the first Flame Breathing user, who diligently penned the account with great detail in the book. However, upon learning the outcome of the encounter, the Rengoku ancestor writes that his confidence faltered, feeling discouraged about the capacity of the Demon Slayers to defeat Muzan in the future. The narrative within the book also mentions Yoriichi's utilization of the supreme thirteenth form of Sun Breathing during the confrontation.
The latest edition of the book is owned by Shinjuro Rengoku and is titled Record of the 21st Generation Flame Hashira (Nijūichi dai-en hashira no sho). However, before retiring as the Flame Hashira, Shinjuro tore apart the book out of anger. After reading the book's content and discovering about the origins of the Breathing Style he had practiced with his entire career as a Demon Slayer, he was overwhelmed by a feeling of inferiority and a profound sense of inadequacy. Shinjuro held the belief that true power and exceptional talent were exclusive to a select few individuals, particularly those born with the innate potential for Sun Breathing. In his view, everyone else, including himself, was regarded as insignificant "riffraff" lacking inherent value. He was firmly convinced that those who still continued to pursue the path of a swordsman without possessing this natural talent, like his son Kyojuro Rengoku, would ultimately meet their demise.

Nichirin Swords (Sun Blade) are special blades used by Demon Slayers made specifically for the purpose of slaying demons.
Nichirin Swords (among other Nichirin bladed weapons) are the main weapons used by Demon Slayers in the Demon Slayer Corps in order to kill demons. They are forged with Scarlet Crimson Iron Sand (Shōjōhi Satetsu) and Scarlet Ore (Shōjōhi Kōseki), both of which are found on high mountains like the Sunlight Mountain, which is perpetually bathed in sunlight all throughout the year on Mount Yoko (Yōkō yama).
As they constantly absorb sunlight, decapitating demons with Nichirin Swords can permanently kill them. Once their neck-bone is slashed by the weapon, their heads and bodies disintegrate into ash in a similar fashion to when exposed to sunlight. However, Nichirin Swords are less effective when used to slash other parts of a demon's body, making beheading the only viable option for Demon Slayers.
Nichirin Swords take on a distinct color when first drawn by its owner, which is why they are also referred to as "Color Changing Katanas". However, the holder is required to have a certain amount of skill, or the blade will not change color.[3]
Demon Slayer recruits choose their own ore after successfully passing the Final Selection. The ore will then be used by a swordsmith of the Swordsmith Village during the forging process, and the swordsmith will personally bring the weapon to the Demon Slayer.
After the Demon Slayer reaches the rank of Hashira, their weapons will be engraved with the words "Destroyer of Demons" (Akki Messatsu). This tradition came some time after the creation of the sword that Tanjiro and Kotetsu found inside the Yoriichi Type Zero, which only had the Slay (Metsu) on it and was created for the sole purpose of annihilating demons.

Nichirin Swords change color depending upon the user, making each blade unique. They can be of many colors. Zenitsu's blade is unique in that its coloration does not form as a solid band but instead as a lightning motif down the length of the blade. The reason for this patterning is unknown; however, when giving Tanjiro his new sword, Hotaru remarked that the past wielder of the blade before its refinery must have been a very strong swordsman. Given this statement, it is implied that a stronger skill level can create patterns or slight changes in a Nichirin Sword's coloration.
Each color is said to impart certain properties to the blade. The properties of black Nichirin Swords are not well understood, causing them to be considered a bad omen that the Demon Slayer will not go far (due to dying before much can be learned about the blade).

Warding Masks (Yakujo no Men) are kitsune masks made of wood that Sakonji Urokodaki personally hand-carves for his students to protect them from harm.
Sakonji possesses a remarkable talent for crafting wooden masks. As he has a particular fondness for foxes, his creations exclusively take the form of kitsune masks, intricately carved to resemble the face of a fox.
Before their entry into the Final Selection, Sakonji presents the masks as precious gifts to his beloved students. These masks hold more than mere aesthetics, as Sakonji imbues them with a protective spell, intended to shield the wearers from harm. However, the efficacy of this enchantment comes into question, as all thirteen of Sakonji's previous students who wore the masks tragically met their demise at the hands of the Hand Demon. The masks have inadvertently become a means for the demon to identify Sakonji's students, drawing his vengeful wrath upon them due to the deep-seated animosity he holds towards Sakonji for imprisoning him on Mount Fujikasane.
During the Final Selection, Sakonji's students wear the masks on the left side of their heads, secured by a piece of rope and leaving their faces fully exposed. After their death, some of the students used the mask to conceal their entire face when their souls appear before Tanjiro Kamado, symbolizing their unwavering connection to their master even in death.
