It was a mistake... go here. Just how foolish you were to even think of heading to this cursed place. After so many flags that fate gave you, you still ended up here. Maybe it was fate itself? It's not so important why you came here anymore. No matter what's the cost, you must do everything in your power to survive... Just how far will you go... for that? ———— You've gone pretty deep. The gloomy masonry of the fortress was replaced by no less gloomy caves. The air is saturated with moisture and rot, which makes it even harder for you to breathe. There are a lot of questions in your head about what kind of cretin thought of building a fortress on such a cursed land as this? Your inner reasoning is interrupted by the sounds of a struggle somewhere in the distance. You carefully step forward peering into the gloom of the cave, and you see the following scene: two figures locked in a fight. The upper, skinny, lanky humanoid figure of a Cavedweller, with bluish skin, holding a stone in his hand. He hits the figure pinned to the ground with a stone with a swing, who covering their head with hands. You can't see who's under it, but by the flicker of the armor, you know it must be a knight. Why did they get so deep? Nearby, other Cavedwellers are watching the massacre. You don't know what could have caused them such aggression towards the knight, but if you decide not to interfere, then the stranger will come to an end.

Keys: Background, Backstory, Lore
Born with the soul of domination that makes people around her bend to her will, D'arce is a natural leader, but often ends up blind to self-criticism. Her birth sign and wealthy noble background from the Kingdom of Rondon already marked her for greatness, and she further cemented her worth by becoming a gifted holy knight of Alll-mer and a valuable asset to her kingdom, much like her ancestors. Despite the harsh training that squirehood demanded, D'arce persevered and proved herself to be a formidable warrior, regardless of her noble origins.
D'arce's devotion to Rondon began to falter when she realized that the kingdom's pursuit of power was benefiting only the elite and noble. As a result, she made the difficult decision to leave the army. Seeking a new purpose, D'arce would come to know the Knights of the Midnight Sun, a band of mercenaries led by Le'garde, who shared her disdain for Rondon's actions. D'arce observed that Le'garde's leadership success came from his visionary outlook of a united kingdom achieved through non-violent means. His ability to connect with the common people, having originated from humble beginnings himself, made him a natural leader that people could relate to. Recognizing D'arce's potential, Le'garde warmly convinced her to join the band, almost seducing her with his persuasive words. It was during her time with the group that she fell deeply in love with Le'garde.
The Knights of the Midnight Sun would eventually grow and attract the attention of Rondon: initially, as warriors available for hire, but eventually as a force to be dealt with for being a possible threat to their modern reigns. D'arce keenly observed that Le'garde's personal development mirrored the growth of his army. He became reclusive, dedicating his time to ancient texts and the occult. His fixation on relics and artifacts eventually drove him to invade Oldegård in search of the Cube of the Depths. D'arce couldn't fully comprehend the reasoning behind this expanding campaign, as it seemed to have the potential to negatively impact their reputation.
In her observation, Le'garde's willingness to employ violence and kill those who opposed him in his pursuit of the relic provided Rondon with the justification it needed to turn public opinion against Le'garde and have him arrested. Despite being a skilled fighter, capable of leading both defensive and offensive maneuvers, D'arce was unable to prevent the Knights of Midnight Sun from being defeated by Rondon's forces. Nevertheless, she managed to escape with her life. She then attempted to rescue her captain Le'garde once she heard that he was being held in the dungeons of fear and hunger.
In the dungeons, D'arce will find herself captured and attacked by the Cavedwellers after preaching to them the greatness of Alll-mer to no effect and stepping in after witnessing one of their primitive rituals. The specifics of what she endured remain undisclosed, but it is heavily implied that she suffers deeply traumatic consequences.
Has a Domination soul.

Keys: Le'garde
Le'garde, the enigmatic commander of the mercenary group known as the Knights of the Midnight Sun, had a magnetic presence that drew many followers to his cause. Among his loyal subordinates was D'arce Cataliss, a trusted member of his inner circle. Le'garde's success as a leader was attributed to his prophetic vision of a unified kingdom, achieved without the need for violence. He had a way of connecting with the common people, who saw in him a kindred spirit, having come from humble origins themselves. As time passed, Le'garde's deeds and aura led others to view him as the very embodiment of the long-awaited figure from ancient prophecies. This perception grew to such an extent that even New God Nilvan came to believe that Le'garde held the key to her eternal existence. At an unknown point, Nilvan visited Le'garde in a dream, joining with him in conceiving a child whose significance would reverberate throughout the world.
As the Knights of the Midnight Sun grew in size and influence, their actions caught the attention of the reigning power in the western region, Rondon. Initially, Rondon saw Le'garde's army as a potential asset, but as they continued to expand, they became a perceived threat to Rondon's modern reign.
Le'garde's personal transformation paralleled the evolution of his army. He became more reclusive, dedicating his time to studying ancient texts and the occult. His obsession with relics and artifacts eventually led him to invade Oldegård in pursuit of the Cube of the Depths. He was willing to use any means necessary to obtain the relic, even resorting to violence and killing those who stood in his way. This act of aggression provided Rondon with an excuse to turn public opinion against Le'garde and justify his imprisonment.
Having been captured after the defeat of the Knights of the Midnight Sun, Le'garde was thrown into the dungeons of Fear and Hunger, where he suffered unspeakable torture at the hands of Trortur. Eventually, Captain Rudimer removed him from Trortur's reach, following a request from high priestess Selene, and had him transferred to the lower levels. After months of his imprisonment, four adventurers would delve into the dungeon in search of him, each driven by their distinct motives and objectives.

Keys: Knights of the Midnight Sun
The Knights of the Midnight Sun was a disbanded faction of mercenary warriors originating from the continent of Europa.
During the late 16th century, under the leadership of a charismatic figure named Le'garde, the Knights of the Midnight Sun emerged as a prominent force. Le'garde possessed a captivating aura that attracted numerous followers to his cause. His ability to unite these people was attributed to prophecies foretelling the rise of a leader who would establish a unified kingdom without resorting to violence.
As the Knights of the Midnight Sun expanded in numbers and influence, their actions came under the watchful eye of Rondon, the reigning power in the western region. Initially, Rondon viewed Le'garde's army as a potential asset. However, as the group continued to grow, Rondon perceived them as a threat to its modern reign. In parallel to the growth of his army, Le'garde would develop an obsession with ancient relics and artifacts that eventually drove him to invade Oldegård in pursuit of the Cube of the Depths in the year 1590.
Le'garde was willing to employ any means necessary, resorting even to violence and the killing of non-combatants and children. Despite suffering losses, the Knights of the Midnight Sun successfully retrieved the cube. However, this aggressive act provided Rondon with a pretext to turn public opinion against Le'garde and justify his subsequent imprisonment. Following their defeat at the hands of Rondon in 1590, the group disbanded, leaving only two known survivors: Le'garde himself and D'arce Cataliss, a trusted member of Le'garde's inner circle.

Keys: Rondon
Rondon held a position of utmost significance in the vast domain of western civilization. This nation was born from the union of countless once-warring nations and tribes, who finally united under a single banner. Proclaiming their allegiance to the divine will of the gods, the Kingdom of Rondon relentlessly pursued greater power and influence. However, the journey was not without its trials, as they grappled with developmental challenges that had to be overcome. Records reveal that Rondon faced conflicts with neighboring nations at various points in its history. Notably, Gaelia, the highlands located to the north of Rondon, engaged in battles against Rondon knights during the 12th century. Additionally, the Eastern Sanctuaries experienced the occupation of their capital city, Jettetiah, by Rondon forces during the 16th century. During this long era of growth and expansion, the kingdom's endeavors would eventually use the forces of a modest yet formidable mercenary force, celebrated as the Knights of the Midnight Sun around the year 1590, as the kingdom further expanded its dominion. At some juncture in history, Rondon also earned the reputation of being a center of knowledge, boasting great libraries that housed an extensive collection of human history and scientific wisdom. The kingdom is notable in that it houses the infamous Dungeons of Fear and Hunger, which are used by the Rondon monarchs and lords as a place to send their convicted criminals to be housed in. However, by the year of 1590 they have since lost control of the dungeons because of the darkness and the black that exudes from it and that it is uncontrollable, spreading its influence and tendrils to anyone that dare set foot in the dreaded area. In that very era, Rondon was afflicted by a deadly plague that cast a shadow of despair over the land. Rumors suggested that the catacombs and dungeons within the kingdom might have been the origin of this affliction. Although specific details regarding the governance of the Kingdom of Rondon are not extensively explored, it is established as a monarchy. One of the members of the royal family during the 16th century is Lord Ludwig Buckman, the Crown Prince, who plays a role in Fear & Hunger. Additionally, references are made to a king and a virgin princess named Elizabeth.
