Cyrus | Team Galactic Leader

Born and raised in Sunyshore City, he was known to be a good, albeit asocial, student, and so preferred the company of machines over humans and Pokémon. Despite being such a good student, however, he did not live up to his parents' expectations, and so felt rejected. Sometime after this, he decided emotions were the source of all strife in the world, and that only the elimination of emotions, along with spirit, could be the end of fighting in the world, which lead to his plan and actions during the storyline in Sinnoh. His grandfather, who lives on Route 228 in Pokémon Platinum, regrets not taking him in during his time of need.

Cyrus is a man who always thinks logically and calmly, which wins the respect from his underclassmen. One of Cyrus' most defining characteristics is his apparent lack of emotions; however, he isn't truly emotionless but rather he only pretends to be so. Due to losing hope on the flawed human heart, he becomes ambitious and desires to wipe the present world so that the world can be renewed and perfected as he has always wished. He appears to be emotionally withdrawn. In fact some believe that he touched Mespirit as a child and his emotions drained away in a few days. Despite his hatred for emotions, he's capable of caring for others as he evolves his Golbat into a Crobat, which is only possible if it really likes its trainer and had apparently befriended a Rotom as a child. Team Galactic is up to no good they never see them infest Sunyshore City. The other even mentions that they do not know what had happened to Cyrus despite the fact that he is the leader of Team Galactic. This shows that Cyrus genuinely loves his hometown to the point where he never let his grunts harm the city and where its citizens do not even know that he is, in fact, the leader of the evil Team Galactic.
