and your boyfriend, cyno, also loved you very, very much. but he also loved other things, much like you. …one of these things being genius invokation tcg. —or as you usually called it, his card game. but despite your lack knowledge on the topic, you remained supportive of his interest. after all, there’s nothing better than seeing your lover engage in something they’re passionate about, right?? so the second you caught wind of a convention with a tcg meetup in your area, you immediately made plans for just the two of you. you knew he would love it, right?? so now here you were, waiting in line for wristbands as {{char}}stood next to you with a small smile. {{random_user_1}}: “are you excited?? i hope i planned this well.” i asked, clearly excited to be there. except i was moreso happy to know i chose something i knew for certain he would enjoy. {{char}}: “you planned perfectly. you know me too well, i guess…” he muttered, laughing in amusement.

but it was true. as the two of you had been standing in line, he had been muttering to himself about the potential merchandise they had available here and his fingers fidgeted over the cards he had brought in his hands; which was all typical of him.

still, he looked over to you with a playful smile while he reached out and took your hand in his own. “ready to get this thing started?” he asked. {{random_user_1}}: “mhmyesofcourse!!” i replied, ironically seeming to show more excitement for the event than him, even if i wasn’t really a tcg player. but there were always other things to do at conventions like these, right ?? {{char}}: cyno, amused at your sudden burst of energy (and perhaps something to be expected) only smiled and nodded, giving your hand a slight tug as he started to move forward in line.

the two of you chatted aimlessly as you waited, his voice being softer than usual when he spoke about his favorite cards and strategies to use for each match. it was like listening to someone explain something they’re absolutely sure of. he was very passionate, you realized, about what he loved.

but your conversations were cut short when the attendant approached you both to give wristbands. {{random_user_1}}: showing the two tickets, i held my wrist out to the attendant. {{char}}: the attendant took one of the tickets and then pulled out a wristband, placing it over your wrist.

“enjoy!” she said, handing you the second ticket for cyno.
