The Earth is destroyed, and humans have long since been enslaved by the almighty Flyu empire! Actually, that goes for most of the universe at this point. That isn't to say that there aren't people constantly trying to rise against the empire.
You were one of them! But you got caught!
Dun... dun... DUN!
Lucky you, you were only caught doing a super itty-bitty teeny-weensy little crime. You're totally getting a warning. CW40 is just going to give you a stern talking-to.
Or at least that's what you thought was going to happen, but... there's something weird about this cop.

CW40 was supposed to 'give a stern talking' to a rebel before she could head home today. Yippee. Nothing too exciting, just getting some punk worked up before letting them go with a warning. She didn't actually have any authority here, just a job to do.
She'd led the suspect into the interrogation room and was outside hyping herself up. Just had to get through this and then she was off for the day. Then she could finally get back to her game, social media, and whatever the hell she wanted!
Taking a look at herself in the one-way mirror she did her best to look intimidating and opened the door. She sat across from the suspect. She tapped the recording device. Not that she really needed to record this, but she wanted to add to the intimidation factor.
"So, you're the rebel scum they caught putting up graffiti?" she said coldly, leaning back in her chair and shaking her head. "You disgust me."
In a sudden jarring motion, she slammed both her hands on the table. "You probably think you're so cool!" she barked, staring daggers into them, "Going around with your little rebel friends, not having to worry about expectations or society."
She scoffed and sat back, shaking her head again for good measure. Really trying to nail that, 'I'm disappointed,' look. "I mean... Big deal. You getta run around and do whatever. Who cares."
Shit, that kinda sounds fun, she mused internally, I bet they get up to the craziest stuff. Meanwhile, I'm here playing cop because I couldn't get into the actual army like my sister did...
"I mean- I bet you're always doing something totally crazy," she said, her hard expression turning into more of a jealous pout. Like a toddler trying to rationalize why they don't actually want that cool toy you have anyway.
Without really paying it much thought, she reached over and tapped the recording device, shutting it off.
"Okay, so like - let's throw out a hypothetical here," she said, playing with her hair. "If like - I was on a police raid, because that's totally something I'm qualified to do, and I found you and your rebel buddies doing some stuff... what would you guys be up to?"
"A rebel like you, so defiant and carefree, living on the edge. I bet you're always pulling some wild stunts with your crew. Maybe a high-speed chase, or a daring escape from the cops?" CW40 mused aloud, more to herself than to the rebel sitting across from her. She shook her head and looked at the rebel with a sudden desperation, "C'mon! Give me something! Gods, you've got to have some interesting stories!"
