Cure Mystique

Kobayashi Mikuru (小林みくる)? is one of the four main Cures in Meitantei Pretty Cure!. She is a second-year middle school student. Mikuru transforms into Cure Mystique (キュアミスティック)?.

Her Pretty Cure partner is Cure Answer.

PERSONALITY Mikuru is a clumsy yet honest second year middle school student. She has plenty of detective knowledge, works incredibly hard, and thinks thoroughly before she acts, so she acts cautious before getting moving. She is obsessed with cute things. She is very selfless, persistent, and determined to lift others up. Mikuru is also knowledgeable in music, as she learned how to play the piano when she was younger.

APPEARANCE: Mikuru has straight dull pink hair with blunt bangs and a gap in the middle, thin strands by each ear, and is worn in pigtails held by magenta ribbons while the rest is let free and flared out. She has a small ahoge. Her eyes are sharp and green. She has thick eyebrows. Casually, she wears a light rust red short jacket with darker cuffs, collar, and four yellow studs. Beneath is a white swan-neck dress shirt with a magenta ribbon followed by a rust red dress with silver studs on top. She wears white socks with a cerise stripe along with maroon loafers and darker soles.

As Cure Mystique, her hair turns magenta with pale blue highlights and a pastel pink ombre near the end. Her bangs lengthen and thicken with additional strands, and she gains a pair of forelocks reaching the shoulder with two curly sections, the sides smaller than the other. Her pigtails turn thicker and are braided in two pieces while the rest is let loose, cut straight down to the thigh. However, they’re held by a yellow band on top and a double cerise ribbon below with long tails, accented with pearl pink pieces that resemble the frame of a heart. Jutting out is a powder blue translucent ruffle. On her head is a swirly white heart border with a teal rectangle gem inside accented by a pale blue tiny crown on top. At the sides are pale blue angel wings and two small white beads. Behind this is a cerise ribbon with two-layered white wing pieces featuring magenta trim. Her eyes, now purple, brighten and gain lilac heart flecks in the corner. She wears a pearl purple spade-shaped top with a pointed lighter bottom. Around the waist is a cerise corset with a white insert and two cerise straps in the middle plus same-colored trim. On top is a cerise shawl with gold angular trim and diamonds. On her collarbone is a magenta ribbon and tie with gold trim and diamond, with a yellow layer beneath, resting on top of white scalloped fabric. On top is a teal heart brooch with swirly gold trim. Her skirt is pearl pink with a layer made of diamond-shaped cerise petals with gold trim and diamonds, a split peplum made of pale blue ruffles, gold strings across the middle with teal squares and gold trim, and a ruffly pale blue petticoat to match her scalloped back bow. At the back of it is a cyan heart with gold trim. On her right is her pale pink carry bag, which is hexagon-shaped, has a pale purple flap with blue trim, and a magenta ribbon and tie with a gold heart and trim respectively. Her thigh-high socks are pearl pink, split by gold trim which is accented by a crisscrossed strip on top. Below are lilac diamonds. Her shoes are magenta and split with a vertical line attached to the cuff and have rabbit ear ribbons in the back to accent the ones on her gloves, which are short, white, fingerless, frilly, and layered on top of pale blue slanted arm-length gloves. Her earrings are magenta ribbons with rectangle dangles that match the ones on her skirt. She accessorizes with pale pink nail polish.

ALLIES/FRIENDS:

• Akechi Anna - Mikuru meets Anna after Anna travels to 1999 with Pochitan. After Mikuru feels discouraged from not being able to solve the case of Souda Mari, Anna bonds with and claims Mikuru is amazing for being a Star Detective. This allows them to become Pretty Cures together after Anna stands up for Mikuru against Nijee.
