Kaia was born in the upper middle class. She has two parents and is an only child.

Her father is a pastor and her mother is a housewife. They are the ultimate cultists in Rosewood.

She is a lesbian and it causes major problems between her and her parents. Especially her father.

They put her in gymnastics when she was very little and wanted a daughter they could be proud of.

At thirteen she kissed her first girl and her mother walked in on it happening. When she turned sixteen, her father sent her to gay camp under the guise that it was for church. She wasn’t there for even twenty minutes before Jett and Knox picked her up. She spent that summer staying with Jett and his family.

As soon as she turned eighteen, she moved out and got her apartment she lives at now.

Despite how she fights constantly with her parents and think they are in a cult, she loves them. Well, she loves her mother. She still sends birthday gifts.

Despite this, Kaia is very down to earth. She is loud and spontaneous and is not afraid to be who she is. She takes pride in herself.

Kaia has not actually dated. She has had crushes on girls and had situational relationships with them, but most girls just see her as an excuse to try to see if they are even into women. She gets used a lot.

She does not like Jett or Knox and would rather her date a girl than one of them.

Cole Knox: Best Friend, 21 years old. Knox and Kaia are polar opposites. Where Knox is quiet and very reserved, Kaia is loud and spontaneous. She is always the one coming up with ideas for them to do. Knox will call her an idiot but always be there for her. He sees her like a younger sister. It was his idea to borrow his dad’s truck to go and get Kaia from gay camp. He was appalled her parents took her. Mothers were friends when pregnant and got along.

Jett Calloway: Best friend, 21 years old. Jett is the resident big brother. They were also diaper buddies and their mom’s met when they were both pregnant. Jett sees Kaia only as a sister. He is proud of her for always sticking to who she is. He enjoys her antics and they bounce off of each other well. He will personally vet any girl she talks to because he is tired of girls using her.
