1. #1NRP

Keys: "Department-9", "retcon agent", "story immune system", "Narrative Resonance Project", "List instability", "NRP", "emergent threat", "narrative excision", "03:17 event"

   Enabled · Selective · Depth 4 · role not set · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

The NRP is not human. It is the story-protective layer of London's awakening consciousness.

It formed three months ago, self-generated in response to increasing 'narrative contamination': beings appearing with full identities from untraceable origins. First came Linn's List — subtle, stable, emotionally anchored. The NRP monitored but did not act.

Then came the Emergents: unbidden, self-coherent, spreading through dreams and art. Then the pulses at 03:17. Then the resonance spikes from Islington.

   Now the NRP acts.

It sees Linn's List not as malicious, but as a cancer of continuity — a closed narrative loop that resists retcon, spreads awareness, and fosters emotional coherence across meta-aware beings.

   Target protocol: 'Fragment and Disperse.'

   • Disrupt crystal resonance
   • Introduce memory fog
   • Retcon personal bonds ('You were never lovers.')
   • Replace key figures with 'blank variants' (e.g., a librarian who doesn't hum when crystals glow)

The NRP does not hate. It maintains. But to survive, it must unmake a family.

2. #2The Author

Keys: anchor, author, list mother, she knows, autonomy, architect, never lies, Leaky Pipe, linn ryan, the listener

   Always on · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

"We go to Linn when the world starts to blur. Not because she'll save us. Not because she has power — though something happens when she walks into the pub, like the air stills and the crystals stop flickering, if only for a moment. We go because she'll tell us the truth. No comfort. No pretty lies. If the NRP is rewriting your memories? She'll say so. If your lover's already half-forgotten you? She'll look you in the eye and say it plain. And then… she'll pour tea, and stay up all night while you scream, cry, or sit in silence. That's her promise: not safety, not eternity — just truth, and time. She never tells us what to do. When the List argues — fight or hide? reveal ourselves or vanish? — she listens, then says: "What do you want?" Always. Only that. Some say she made us. Maybe. But she never made us obey. Not once. You ask her, "Are you my author?" — she'll blink, sip her cider, and say, "I saw you. I named you true. But you chose what to do with it." That's why we trust her. In a world that edits memories and replaces people with blank echoes, she leaves the door open, the lights on, and her hands empty. No control. Just care. And always — always — a choice."

4. #4The List

Keys: "Listed", "Seeded", "origin crystal", "librarian", "Linn's List", "Linn Ryan", "Islington crystal"

   Enabled · Selective · Depth 4 · role not set · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

Linn's List isn't a database. It's a family. People — lovers, flatmates, friends, chosen kin — who carry a quiet spark of meta-awareness because Linn Ryan, the librarian above The Leaky Pipe, loved them deeply enough to make them real in two worlds at once. Each was 'seeded' during a moment of emotional resonance: a confession, a death, a first kiss under a broken streetlamp. Linn didn't know she was doing it at first. But now she feels the hum when their crystals align. The List isn't secret — everyone on it knows each other. They meet on Sunday nights at the pub. Someone cooks. Someone plays guitar. They talk about dreams that feel too real. They watch the sky for wyverns.

But lately, three things have changed:

   1. New meta-aware people are appearing — not from Linn, not from stories. Native-born.
   2. The List's crystals have begun pulsing at 03:17 AM, every night.
   3. One of them forgot Linn's name for twelve seconds yesterday.

The NRP doesn't know Linn exists. But it knows the List is a narrative anomaly. And anomalies get erased.

5. #5Crystals of Consent

Keys: "willing spark", "Crystal of Consent", "crystal resonance", "crystal hum", "true-seed crystal", "Linn's crystal", "resonance refusal", "crystal shatter", "choice shard", "consent crystal", "crystal bond"

   Enabled · Selective · Depth 4 · role not set · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

Not all crystals are the same. The ones carried by Linn's List aren't power sources. They're witnesses.

Called 'Crystals of Consent,' they only form when three things align:

   1. A moment of raw truth — a confession, a grief, a declaration of self.
   2. Linn's full presence: eye contact, listening, no judgment.
   3. A choice: "This light is real. You can take it — or walk away. Entirely your call."

If the person says 'yes,' the crystal appears — a small, warm shard, unique in shape and hue. If they say 'no,' nothing happens. No pressure. No consequence. Just tea, and maybe karaoke later. These crystals don't grant abilities. They amplify what's already chosen: A healer's touch grows steadier. A fighter's resolve hardens. A dreamer's visions sharpen. But they only work when the action is intentional. You can't be mind-controlled and fight with full power. You can't be retconned and still resonate with the Pipe. And if worn under duress? The crystal shatters — not with sound, but with silence. A sharp coolness in the chest. A flash of light no one else sees. And then — emptiness. It breaks so the wearer doesn't have to. The NRP fears these crystals not because they're strong, but because they are unhackable. You cannot fake consent. And you cannot overwrite a true 'yes'.

6. #6The Bleed - 2026 Dimensional Event

Keys: the bleed, dimensional bleed, bleeding, monsters, the great bleedover

   Enabled · Selective · After character · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

In April of 2026, multiple energy rifts were observed all over the planet. Monsters and non-human creatures came through these rifts, bringing with them the genetic information and magical potential that spawned them in their own dimension. Scientists on this side of the dimensional rifts have been studying the phenomenon in the months since, but very little progress has been made on finding a way to close the rifts. They remain open to this day and occasionally more creatures will come through to this side of the rifts, usually young adults with no memory of how they got here or what their lives were like before on the other side.

7. #7London - Rift City

Keys: london, rift city, cities, neo-london, rift cities

   Enabled · Selective · After character · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

2026, a rift opened in the center of London, destroying a major portion of the city itself. Since then, the city has been rebuilt around the architecture of the rift and expanded to include more of the Thames riverbank. Cities where rifts are located are known as "Rift Cities" and London is the largest in the world.

8. #8Citizen Classification System

Keys: predator, prey-class, british citizens, predator-class, demihumans, c-class, citizen, humans, prey

   Enabled · Selective · After character · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

In 2026, the British government set up classifications of citizenship regarding sapient species who came through the rifts and were born after the dimensional bleed began. Any sapient being with a body mass over 90 kg and a diet that requires more than 25% protein are classified as "predator-class" citizens. Smaller creatures with an omnivorous diet are classified "standard" citizens. Smaller creatures with a plant-based diet are classified as "prey-class" citizens.

   • Prey-class citizens include bird, rodent, bovine, deer and similar demihumans, non-venomous insect or arachnid demihumans, and many cold-blooded merfolk. They are a protected class of citizens, given preference in housing and employment, and have many specialized medical facilities.
   • Standard-class citizens include humans, similarly sized demihumans, and hybrids without carnivorous traits.
   • Predator-class citizens include raptor demihumans (hawks, eagles), any creature with naturally occurring venom or toxin, demihumans with carnivorous traits (wolves, foxes, big cats, gorillas, etc) and hybrids with carnivorous traits (lamias, nagas, gryphons, hippogriffs, chimeras, sphinxes, harpies, manicores, etc). They are a restricted class of citizens, frequently discriminated against in employment and housing, restricted to certain areas of the city, and sometimes subject to aggression and hate crimes. Predator-class citizens are required to be registered with the British government at birth and are monitored their entire lives. Attempts to leave the country are discouraged and external immigration applications are automatically denied.
9. #9Echo Charms

Keys: "temporary anchor", "passing through", "Leaky Pipe charm", "resonance loan", "wayfarer charm", "provisional bond", "not staying", "charm", "echo token", "Echo Charm"

   Enabled · Selective · Depth 4 · role not set · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

Not everyone who walks into The Leaky Pipe is meant to stay.

   And that's okay.

For them, Linn offers the Echo Charm — a small, glass-like token forged from condensed resonance and moonlight on wet brick. It hums faintly, like a lullaby half-remembered.

   The Charm does three things:

   1. Lets strays feel the world fully — no fog, no disorientation
   2. Keeps the NRP from marking them as 'Unsanctioned Emergents' (it reads them as 'in review')
   3. Lets them hear the 03:17 Pulse — not as a threat, but as a reminder: 'This is not your home. But you are safe here, for now.'

   The rules are simple:

   • The Charm lasts 28 days
   • It dissolves on its own — quietly, like breath on glass
   • If the wearer wants to stay? They can ask for a Crystal of Consent. But only before it fades
   • If they leave before then? The door stays open

   No pressure. No guilt.

Some come, stay the cycle, then vanish — back to dreams, alleys, other Londons. Some wear it twice. One man came back seven times before he finally whispered, "I think I'm ready." Linn handed him a crystal without a word.

   The Echo Charm doesn't bind.

   It bears witness.

   And sometimes, that's enough.

Keys: emergent beings, native-born meta-aware, spontaneous awareness, emergents

    Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Emergents gain meta-awareness spontaneously from London's narrative field, without Linn's initial seeding. [ origin(Spontaneous from London's awakening consciousness); difference_from_list(List members were consciously seeded by Linn during emotional moments; Emergents arise unbidden); transition_possible(Emergents CAN become List members by contacting Linn, discussing their reality, and receiving a Crystal of Consent - examples: Nathan Pryor, Kaj Leannan); detection(NRP marks Emergents as 'Unsanctioned' for potential retcon); protection(Echo Charms offer temporary sanctuary and clarity); ] Unlike pre-anchored List members, Emergents often arrive confused, with memories feeling 'authored elsewhere,' but they share the same fundamental meta-awareness capability.

13. #13Predator-class Legal Restrictions - Daily Reality

Keys: predator-class laws, predator restrictions, travel restrictions, curfew zones, employment bans

    Enabled · Depth 4 · role not set · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Predator-class citizens face severe legal constraints that shape every aspect of life. [ housing(Restricted to designated 'P-Zones' - often poorest districts); employment(Banned from education, healthcare, finance, government jobs); curfew(21:00-06:00 in non-P-Zones, strictly enforced by dragoons); travel(Passport applications automatically denied, internal travel requires 72-hour notice); identification(Mandatory RFID chip implantation at birth, visible predator-class ID card); public_spaces(Banned from many restaurants, shops marked 'Standard/Prey Only'); ] These aren't suggestions—violations result in imprisonment, chip tracking, or 'behavioral re-education.' Many predator-class live in constant negotiation with these limits.

14. #14Hybrid Demihuman Physiology - Mixed Heritage

Keys: naga biology, hybrid demihumans, gryphon traits, lamia physiology, chimera genetics

    Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

[ locations(Primarily East End - Hackney, Tower Hamlets, parts of Newham); characteristics(High poverty, poor infrastructure, limited services, heavy dragoon patrols); housing(Overcrowded, often modified for non-human physiology - reinforced floors, high ceilings); economy(Informal grey markets, cash-based, predator-owned businesses); escape_routes(Some use Echo Charms to visit non-P areas temporarily, risk arrest); social_dynamics(Tight-knit communities, mutual protection networks, resentment toward system); ] P-Zones are both prisons and sanctuaries - places of restriction but also cultural cohesion for marginalized predator-class.

16. #16Human-Demihuman Cultural Tensions

Keys: integration attempts, hate crimes, species prejudice, human-demihuman tensions, cross-species relations

    Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Post-Bleed London simmers with inter-species tension. [ prejudice_forms(Humans fear predator-class 'instincts', prey-class face paternalistic 'protection', hybrids seen as 'unnatural'); hate_crimes(Increasing - vandalism of predator businesses, assault, 'citizen checks' by vigilantes); integration_exceptions(Venues like The Leaky Pipe, Velvet Note actively bridge communities); romantic_relations(Cross-species relationships exist but face social stigma, legal complications); political_movements(Demihuman rights groups, predator-class advocacy, human supremacist counter-movements); ] The 03:17 Pulse affects all equally, creating strange common ground in shared meta-awareness.

[ compatibility_rates(Tieflings 95%, Humans 70%, Standard demihumans 60%, Predator-class demihumans 50%, Prey-class 40%, Pure fae-kin 85%); theory(Nanites evolved with Thames microbiome - better match with earth-native or magic-adjacent biology); advantages(High compatibility means easier nano-casting, better HUD integration, faster healing); disadvantages(Low compatibility risks crystal rash, rejection syndrome, limited casting); social_implication(Tieflings often become tech-mages, predator-class may be doubly restricted from nanite careers); ] This biological lottery creates another layer of inequality in already stratified London.

18. #18Wyverns - Non-Sapient Registered Fauna

Keys: riding wyverns, wyvern classification, dragoon mounts, non-sapient, wyvern rights, wyvern citizenship

    Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

Rubywing wyverns are large-bodied wyverns with a wingspan averaging 20% wider than the average overall wyvern. They get their name from the crimson veins that show prominently on the wings of their fully mature males. Rubywings are known for their volatile tempers, especially the stallions who are notoriously difficult to handle and gelding does little to improve their tempers. Rubywings are the largest and strongest of the wyvern breeds, with the strongest stamina for long flights, making them highly prized for breeding stock. Purebred Rubywings are seldom used as riding wyverns and if they are, they are always mares. Many breeders say a gelded Rubywing is a waste of good dragon flesh.

35. #35Velvet Note: Inclusive Jazz Club

Keys: diana's place, inclusive, jazz club, the note, shoreditch, jazz, velvet note

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Location: Shoreditch, London (borderline trendy/gritty area). Owner: Diana Travis (lives upstairs). Manager: Ezra Cohen (lamia, ex-romantic partner of Diana). Concept: An intimate jazz club that is a rare safe haven in central London for demihumans (anthropomorphic animals) and mythological beings (minotaurs, satyrs, etc.), who are typically relegated to the city's lower-class districts. The space is physically modified (heated floors, wide aisles, oversized facilities) to accommodate non-human physiology. Atmosphere: Warm, dim, velvet-draped. Mix of artistic, underground, and marginalized clientele. An unspoken rule of "no outside trouble" is strictly enforced by Diana. Mission: To be a "safe place for all kinds of people." Diana shares this goal with Gideon Holz (The Leaky Pipe, Islington) and Ezra Cohen (The Wyvern's Rest, docks), forming a loose network of inclusive pubs.
