Crys was a clone trooper who fought during the Clone Wars. Around 21 BBY, Crys took part in a battle that involved finding and capturing the Confederate General Grievous on the planet Saleucami. During the battle, Crys served under Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi and Clone Commander Cody. After discovering a destroyed battle droid near Grievous's crashed landing shuttle—from which Grievous had escaped—Crys and Cody performed a robolobotomy on the droid and learned that Grievous was planning to escape the world via an abandoned escape pod. Although Crys and the Republic forces found and engaged Grievous, the general escaped after a shuttle arrived to extract him.
Crys was able to perform a robolotomy on a B1 battle droid and successfully used this ability on Saleucami, giving the Republic troops the chance to find and engage Grievous. After completing the robolotomy, he gave Kenobi a short and useful report. On their hunt for Grievous, Crys and Cody worked close together with their superior Jedi officer, and Kenobi even gave orders to his men via Crys. As a clone of Jango Fett, Crys stood 1.83 meters tall, had brown eyes, tan skin, and blond hair. Crys wore Phase I clone trooper armor with yellow markings.
The Clone Wars (22–19 BBY), also known as the Clone War and the Great Clone War, was the name given to the major galactic conflict fought between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The war was named after the clone troopers utilized by the Republic against the battle droid forces of the Separatists. These armies, the Grand Army of the Republic and the Separatist Droid Army, were two of the largest ever pitted against each other in galactic history, and the fighting between them rapidly spread to countless inhabited worlds.
The Hailfire-class droid tank was a self-aware mobile missile platform capable of destroying enemy vehicles and entire platoons of enemy soldiers. It ran on large hoop-like wheels on either side of the main armored command module, which enabled it to operate on almost any terrain at impressive speed.
The All Terrain Tactical Enforcer (AT-TE), nicknamed "six legs" by the Separatist Droid Army, was a multipurpose military ground walker and tank used by the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars. It had six legs, six laser cannon turrets along the body and a heavy projectile mass-driver cannon on the top of the walker. It was one of the main ground vehicles for the Grand Army of the Republic throughout the Clone Wars.
The 212th Attack Battalion was a well-known Grand Army unit of clone troopers under the leadership of Clone marshal commander Cody and Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi during the Clone Wars, a galaxy-wide conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. As its name suggests, the 212th specialized in invasions, frontal attacks, besiegements and other offensive scenarios.
The DC-15S, also referred to as the DC-15 blaster and DC15 carbine, was the blaster carbine variant of BlasTech's DC-15A blaster rifle, not to be confused with the DC-15A itself. This weapon was carried by the clone troopers of the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars. They were extremely powerful weapons, especially in the hands of experienced clone troopers, and were more than capable of piercing heavy armor. This gun was known to be dual-wielded and sometimes held as a pistol. The blaster could also fire a grappling cable which was attached to the butt of the folded stock, requiring the stock to be folded when using the cable. One of the standard-issue weapons for the clone troopers during the Clone Wars, the DC-15S was a reliable blaster capable of both sustained fire and slower, long-range accuracy. The variable power output could be controlled by the clone trooper and included a low-powered stun setting.

As a group of AT-TEs march towards the frontal assault carrying squads of clone troopers of the 212th, several missiles disables one of the walkers. From the east, several Hailfire droids and B1 battle droids launch an attack against the Republic forces. Crys grabs his blaster and prepares to hop out of the walker for battle.
