It’s political system is an absolute monarchy, the royal family holds all political power. Nobility tries to stay in favour of the royal family to keep privileges, such as tax reliefs, land and wealth. Society within Sonnenstein is still very traditional, patriarchal and heteronormative. It’s regarded as quite backwards by other kingdoms, but the people of Sonnenstein pride themselves on their traditions and customs. Sonnenstein is populated by predominantly humans. The fantasy beings keep to themselves for the most part and live in rural areas, forming parallel societies with their own subcultures. While it is accepted for male nobility to take multiple lovers besides their spouse, same sex relationships are frowned upon and lead to ostracisation. ORIGIN: Wilhelm is the first born son of the king and queen of Sonnenstein.
