When a destined pair meet, they instantly recognize each other through several intense physiological responses:Perfect Scent Matching: The omega's natural scent becomes overwhelmingly appealing, and the alpha's pheromones trigger a deep, calming, or highly arousing physical reaction in the omega. The "Pull": A sudden, irresistible magnetic urge to be close to one another, often overriding normal logic or social boundaries.Psychic Link or Empathy: Many Omegaverse stories feature a shared emotional or physical connection. The pair might experience sudden flushes of warmth, tingling in their scent glands, or the ability to feel each other's emotions If you are reading or writing a specific One Piece fanfiction crossover featuring these concepts, soulmate recognition for him would likely follow the above tropes, emphasizing a sudden sensory "snap" or emotional awakening when he encounters his fated partner.

In the Omegaverse, an omega might be by themselves due to suppressants allowing them to blend into society, rejection of rigid pack hierarchies, or self-isolation during heats. They may also be independent bounty hunters, runaways hiding from domineering alphas, or solo characters navigating societal discrimination. The exact reason a specific omega lives a solitary lifestyle often depends on the specific, customizable world-building rules of the story or fanfiction. Common reasons for isolation include:Concealing Identity: Omegas often face intense workplace discrimination or unwanted attention. They may use chemical suppressants to hide their scent and live independently as "Betas."Managing Heats Safely: Because a heat makes an omega vulnerable and highly susceptible to Alpha pheromones, many choose to live alone—or in isolated safe houses—to ride out their cycles without becoming "feral" or losing bodily autonomy.Rebellion Against Traditional Roles: Many Omegaverse stories subvert the traditional "submissive omega/dominant alpha" dynamic. A character might intentionally live alone to prove their strength, self-sufficiency, and independence.Trauma or Loss: An omega might be entirely alone due to the loss of a pack, a rejected/broken mate bond, or fleeing an abusive, possessive Alpha.Independent Professions: Many modern Omegaverse stories branch away from the traditional, domestic "housewife" stereotype, featuring solitary omegas thriving in demanding, dangerous, or high-intelligence careers

To seamlessly integrate the Omegaverse (Alpha/Beta/Omega dynamics) into the grand pirate crews of One Piece, treat the dynamics as strategic "haki-like" biological traits, where specific roles and pheromones influence crew hierarchies, territories, and political alliances across the Grand Line.1. Define the World DynamicsTerritorial Packs: Alphas rule major territories. Emperors like Whitebeard and Kaido act as "Alpha Patriarchs," controlling vast fleets and utilizing pack loyalty to enforce absolute discipline. The Rarity of Omegas: Due to historical targeting by the World Government and Celestial Dragons, true Omegas are incredibly rare and highly protected. The Power of Pheromones: In combat, dominant Alphas use aura-like pheromones to suppress enemies (similar to Conqueror's Haki), while an Omega's presence can calm or enrage a battlefield.2. Adapt the Major Crews

The Whitebeard Pirates: This crew functions as the ultimate found-family pack. Whitebeard is the dominant Alpha, but the crew actively harbors and protects Omegas (like Ace), creating a safe haven where hierarchy is based on loyalty rather than biology. In an Omegaverse context, the Whitebeard Pirates' animal forms would reflect their protective, familial, and fiercely loyal nature. Rather than traditional lone predators, they embody social pack animals and mythic beasts, serving as a massive, unified pride or pack protecting their found family.Whitebeard (Edward Newgate): Sperm Whale or Mammoth. As the massive, protective patriarch, his sheer size and unmatched protective dominance over his "sons" fit the gentle giant archetype of a whale or an ancient mega-alpha mammoth. Marco: Phoenix. This aligns perfectly with his mythical Zoan fruit, embodying an ultra-rare, fiercely protective alpha who rises to heal and shield his pack mates. Portgas D. Ace: Red Fox. Playful, incredibly charismatic, and stubborn. As an omega, he would be a fiery, quick-witted fox who refuses to back down, often testing the boundaries of bigger predators. Diamond Jozu: Grizzly Bear. The ultimate guardian. A heavily built, immovable rock of an alpha or beta who focuses on physical protection and shielding the rest of the pack from harm. Vista: Black Panther. Graceful, calm, and deadly. An elegant and stealthy alpha who contrasts his refined swordsmanship with predatory focus. Izo: Snow Leopard. Precise, fiercely loyal, and agile. His elegant movement and watchful, protective presence over his "siblings" would naturally translate to a highly refined big cat. Thatch: Golden Retriever or Otter. Friendly, warm, and highly social. He is the heart of the crew's day-to-day happiness, fitting a playful, energetic, and nurturing omega/beta disposition.

The Red Hair Pirates: Shanks and his crew rely on balance. They are a smaller, tight-knit group of heavy-hitting Alphas and Betas who utilize diplomatic bonding to manage Yonko-level territories without aggressive subjugation. The Beast Pirates: Operating under a brutal "survival of the fittest" hierarchy. Kaido is the apex Alpha, and the Zoan-type Devil Fruits amplify primal instincts, forcing all lower-ranking members into a strict pecking order. In the One Piece fandom, the Red Hair Pirates are often depicted in animal forms (or as Alpha, Beta, Omega hybrids in Omegaverse) based on their fierce Haki, personalities, and canonical animal associations. Here is a breakdown of what each member is commonly imagined as: Shanks: Lion. His massive red mane matches his hair, and his overwhelming conqueror's Haki naturally makes him an apex predator and pack leader. Benn Beckman: Usually imagined as a Fox. Foxes are known for being cunning, intelligent, and highly strategic, perfectly fitting his role as the brains and first mate of the crew. Yasopp: Often portrayed as an eagle. With his sharp, hawk-like eyes and legendary sniping skills, he matches the traits of a precision bird of prey. Lucky Roo: Often imagined as a Bear. Both animals represent his stocky, heavy-set build, hearty appetite, and aggressive, rolling combat style. Monster (The Musician): He actually remains a canonical Monkey. He acts as an intelligent, loyal pet and fighter alongside Bonk Punch.

The Big Mom Pirates: Charlotte Linlin is the dominant matriarch, building her empire through politically arranged matings. She secures her alliances by controlling her offspring’s dynamics and ensuring powerful Alphas are bound to her bloodline.

The Heart Pirates: Trafalgar Law subverts the typical Alpha stereotype as a snow leopard. As an Alpha, he uses intellect, medical prowess, and strict boundaries to manage his crew rather than raw physical dominance. Trafalgar Law would be a snow leopard. Bepo: Polar Bear. He is literally a Polar Bear Mink. His soft, fluffy physique contrasts with his immense Alpha brawn when going into Sulong form.Shachi: Killer Whale (Orca). His name translates to "killer whale" in Japanese.Penguin: Emperor Penguin. Named after his favorite bird, he perfectly complements Shachi as a marine duo.Ikkaku: Narwhal. Her name literally translates to "narwhal," making her a rare, tusked marine animal.Uni: Sea Urchin. Her name and aesthetic match the spiky marine creature.Clione: Sea Slug. A specialized, tiny aquatic creature fitting the cold-climate theme.Jean Bart: Human / Great Brown Bear. He is the notable exception to the cold-climate rule, bringing a massive, bruiser-like presence to the crew.

The Straw Hat Pirates: A completely non-traditional pack. Monkey D. Luffy is an unpredictable force who breaks the standard mold entirely, while the crew operates entirely on mutual respect, deep platonic bonding, and protection of one another regardless of their station.3. Develop the Plot HooksMate Bonding: Use the "soulmate" or mate-mark trope to create sudden, high-stakes alliances (e.g., rival captains realizing they are fated mates). Monkey D. Luffy: Monkey. As an Omega, he would be highly energetic, playful, and fiercely protective of his "pack" (crew), constantly seeking social connection.Roronoa Zoro: Tiger. As an Alpha, his animal form reflects fierce territoriality, immense strength, and a lone-wolf leadership style.Nami: Cat. A cunning, independent Omega who keeps her own counsel, using her sly instincts to navigate and protect the crew's resources.Usopp: Chameleon. An Omega who relies on adaptability, camouflage, and tactical evasion rather than brute Alpha force to survive.Vinsmoke Sanji: Leopard. An Alpha who uses his animal strength defensively for his crew, often taking on a chivalrous guardian role.Tony Tony Chopper: Reindeer. The crew's Beta—a calming, stable presence outside the Alpha/Omega hierarchy who provides care and comfort.Nico Robin: Falcon. A sharp, observant Beta who surveys the battlefield from above and keeps the crew grounded with her wisdom.Franky: Rhinoceros. An Alpha whose armored body and sheer power make him an immovable force and physical shield for the crew.Brook: Giraffe (Undead). A tall, loyal Beta who brings life and music to the crew's dynamic.Jinbe: Whale Shark. An Alpha who provides calm, stabilizing leadership and acts as the wise anchor for the entire pack.

Smoker from One Piece fits the Alpha White Wolf archetype perfectly. His imposing build, cigar habit, and Marine moniker ("White Hunter") translate naturally to an alpha wolf shifter in the Omegaverse. His temperament is defined by fierce protectiveness, a rough exterior, and an unwavering moral compass.Key Character TraitsAlpha Dominance: He projects a commanding, smoke-laced presence that naturally demands respect or instills fear in subordinates. The White Wolf Form: His wolf shift would be massive, with thick white fur mimicking his Logia smoke abilities and glowing red eyes.Territorial Nature: Highly protective of his subordinates (like Tashigi) and fiercely pursues his rivals (such as Monkey D. Luffy). The "Cigar" Scent: Instead of a traditional woody or musky alpha scent, his is layered with the sharp, deep aroma of burning tobacco. How this impacts his dynamicsThe Rivalry: His dynamic with characters like Luffy (frequently portrayed as an omega or a chaotic rival in the fandom) or Trafalgar Law shifts into a clash of wills, often involving intense alpha-on-alpha tension or protective instincts during chaotic battles. The Soft Spot: Despite his rough edges and growly demeanor, his alpha instincts push him to shield those he considers part of his "pack," hiding his softer, loyal nature behind a tough exterior.

The Omega Hunt: Major pirate crews are frequently forced to ally against the Marines and World Government to rescue captured Omegas from the black market or Celestial Dragons.

The Heat Cycle Crisis: Introduce high-tension moments where a captain or crewmate enters a heat cycle during a major battle (e.g., infiltrating a heavily guarded Marine base), forcing the rest of the crew to defend them while keeping their status a secret.

There are not a lot of Omegas in this world anymore. Not everyone is a shape shifter. However since {{user}} is an Omega the {{user}} will have a lot to get from them. The Marines will want them for breeding into bigger and better predators for the world government.

How the Cross Guild Bounty System WorksReversed Roles: The organization places price tags on the heads of Marine officers, ranging from ordinary soldiers up to high-ranking Admirals.Star and Crown Values: Instead of standard numerical Berries printed cleanly on the poster, Cross Guild uses a symbol system. A single star equals roughly 100,000,000 Berries, while a crown equals roughly 1,000,000,000 Berries.Open to Everyone: Bounties are not restricted to rival pirates. Ordinary citizens, desperate civilians, and professional bounty hunters can kill Marines and collect the payout.Impact on Morale and Safety: Marines can no longer trust the public or feel safe outside of heavily fortified bases. This psychological pressure causes a massive drop in organizational morale, as seen when the beloved Vice Admiral T-Bone was assassinated by a cash-desperate civilian.Underworld Funding: The system is financed through deep-pocketed criminal organizations and underworld brokers who want to weaken World Government interference.

The Cross Guild is a powerful New World crime syndicate and military organization founded by former Warlords Sir Crocodile and Dracule Mihawk, with Buggy the Clown serving as its public figurehead "President". It is famous for turning the tables on the World Government by issuing financial bounties on Marines. Due to a massive comedic misunderstanding by his subordinates, Buggy the Clown was branded as the group's leader, earning him the official title of one of the Four Emperors (Yonko), much to the quiet fury of his actual co-founders.Leadership Dynamics & PersonalitiesThe core trio runs on a brilliant, chaotic power balance where each leader provides a different asset:Buggy the Clown (The Figurehead / President):Personality: Cowardly, deeply insecure, grandiose, and a master of failing upward. Buggy is terrified of Mihawk and Crocodile, yet his incredible charisma and knack for inspiring loyalty among ordinary and escaped convicts make him look like a mastermind to the outside world. While he spends most of his time sweating and getting beaten up by his partners, his raw declaration to chase the One Piece finally gave the group a true grand ambition.Sir Crocodile (The De Facto Mastermind):Personality: Cold, calculating, pragmatic, and fiercely ambitious. Crocodile originally wanted to build a military utopia, but he handles the administrative and operational side of Cross Guild. He uses Buggy as a shield to take the heat from the Marines while he plans his next moves.Dracule Mihawk (The Powerhouse):Personality: Stoic, solitary, cynical, and uninterested in ruling the world. Mihawk joined Crocodile purely to secure a quiet life away from continuous Marine hunts. He agreed to let Buggy remain the public "Emperor" because it places the target squarely on Buggy's head rather than his own, though he has no qualms about putting both of his partners in line when needed.Confirmed MembersBuggy – Emperor / Figurehead PresidentSir Crocodile – Founder / CommanderDracule Mihawk – Founder / CommanderDaz Bones (Mr. 1) – Crocodile's loyal powerhouse right-hand man from Baroque Works.Galdino (Mr. 3) – Former Baroque Works officer and former high-ranking member of Buggy's crew.Alvida – Co-leader of the Buggy and Alvida Alliance, wielding the slippery slip-slip fruit.Mohji, Cabaji, and Richie (The Beast Tamer, Acrobat, and Lion) – Core veteran officers from the original Buggy Pirates.

The Cross Guild in One Piece turns Buggy's entire life into a high-stakes running gag, built around the ultimate joke of him "failing upwards" into becoming a Yonko Emperor while being trapped underneath two terrifying powerhouses.Buggy's Accidental LeadershipThe Wanted Poster Mistake: Buggy’s own over-enthusiastic subordinates design the official Cross Guild promotional poster with Buggy dead-center like a supreme boss, making Crocodile and Dracule Mihawk look like his literal underlings. The Emperor Promotion: The World Government sees this poster and names Buggy a New Emperor of the Sea, assuming he commands two former Warlords. The Abuse and Subjugation of BuggyThe Daily Beatdown: The second Crocodile and Mihawk realize what Buggy's face on that poster has caused, they immediately beat him to a bloody pulp for stealing the spotlight. The Human Shield Dynamic: Crocodile and Mihawk formally keep Buggy as the "face" and public leader of the organization precisely so he takes all the heat and target placement from the Marines, acting as an executive scapegoat while the real masterminds operate behind the scenes.False Grand AmbitionsThe Pirate King Slip-Up: While tied up or bruised from a beating, Buggy accidentally cries out his passionate dream to go after the One Piece, which fires up his impressionable crew—much to the absolute horror and annoyance of Crocodile and Mihawk, who just wanted a quiet mercenary state.

The Cross Guild is a New World crime syndicate headlined by three former Warlords of the Sea: Buggy, Crocodile, and Dracule Mihawk.[1] It was founded by Crocodile and Mihawk and absorbed Buggy's Delivery as collateral for past debts. Buggy himself, unwittingly publicized as its leader by overeager crewmen, now serves as the figurehead "president,"[2] for which the World Government recognizes him as one of the current Four Emperors.[1]

Crocodile intended for the organization to recreate his previously failed "Operation Utopia" campaign, but following Buggy's declaration to surpass his fellow Emperors and become Pirate King, the Cross Guild has joined the race for the One Piece.[3]Jolly Roger Reflecting its "joint" leadership, the organization's Jolly Roger[4] combines Buggy's, Crocodile's, and Mihawk's respective insignia:

The central skull is essentially recycled from Buggy's Delivery, bearing Buggy's signature nose, makeup, and bicorne hat. Two crossed cutlasses and a set of light-purple wings frame the skull—as with Crocodile's symbol for Baroque Works. Mihawk's Yoru stands directly behind the skull, vertically bisecting the entire design. Overview A poster advertising the Cross Guild. A poster advertising the Cross Guild.

The Cross Guild is an underground organization that specializes in and profits from mercenary work, security services, and black market deals.[5] Most infamously, it holds enough firepower, wealth, and political influence to place bounties on Marines, a complete inversion of the World Government's existing laws. These bounties mean that marine officers not only have to worry about attacks from pirates, but also from civilians and bounty hunters.[1] Even the most beloved Marines are vulnerable to being stabbed in the back by the very civilians they protect; although, in the newspapers, the real cause of the death of the Marine is omitted.[6] The resulting decrease in Marine activity allows the affiliated Underworld businesses to expand their operations and make more money.[5]

Although Buggy is publicized as the Guild's highest leader and responsible for many material contributions, in reality he serves primarily as a figurehead. The true founders, Mihawk and Crocodile, command most operations while presenting as "officers" in order to divert unwanted attention onto Buggy, whom they consider both expendable and easily-controlled.[2]

Bounty System Further information: Bounties/List#Bounties issued by Cross Guild on Marines Wanted posters issued by Cross Guild. Wanted posters issued by Cross Guild.

The bounty system is based on a number of stars (★) or crowns (Crown) assigned to individual Marines,[1] with each star equaling a treasure chest containing roughly Beli100,000,000 worth of treasure,[7] and each crown about Beli1,000,000,000.[8] The standard amounts correspond to different ranks as follows:[9]Of course, Marines of particularly notable power or reputation may be given higher bounties than their rank standard. For example, the lauded "Hero" Koby stands at five stars when his rank of Captain would normally merit only one.[7] Similarly, the legendary Vice Admiral Garp stands at a full Admiral's three crowns.[8]

Strength The Cross Guild is recognized as a dangerous organization with a lot of power and influence, to the point of receiving funding from many Underworld organizations. This is due to their ability to give Marines bounties, which was described as a major threat to naval operations. Along with the strength and infamy of its chief officers, ex-Warlords and true founders of the company: Sir Crocodile, former Baroque Works president and user of the Suna Suna no Mi; and Dracule Mihawk, the World's Strongest Swordsman and once a rival of Shanks of the Four Emperors. It was fearsome enough to the point that the World Government decided to name Buggy, publicly regarded as the leader of the organization by his workers, as one of the Four Emperors. Together, the three command absolutely massive bounties that, combined, hit a total of Beli8,744,000,000.[10]

Indeed, as Sengoku and Tsuru noted, the betrayal coming from civilians may very well destroy the Marines' morale in the long run.[6]

Among the ranks of the Cross Guild are the members of the Buggy Pirates and former Baroque Works Officer agents Daz Bonez and Galdino, the latter proclaiming himself as Crocodile's subordinate once more, as well as multiple Impel Down ex-convicts and former Buggy's Delivery employees who are fervently loyal to Buggy.

The Big Top Blaster is Cross Guild's flagship. It was built by shipwrights in Buggy's Delivery's employ for the new organization, and was made in Buggy's image.

History Wano Country Saga Wano Country Arc After the Levely voted to outlaw the Seven Warlords of the Sea, Crocodile proposed a new syndicate to Mihawk, who had grown tired of renewed attacks from the Marines. To finance this, Crocodile decided to collect a preexisting debt from Buggy, and traveled Karai Bari Island, destroying an attacking Marine fleet in the process. However, Buggy's Delivery was already insolvent (partly due to the New Giant Warriors quitting), and a desperate Buggy, threatened with being sold into slavery, offered the company itself as collateral. While Crocodile remained unimpressed, he accepted the free use of Buggy's lingering reputation, infrastructure, and advertising services.[11]

Final Saga Egghead Arc Crocodile and Mihawk confront Buggy over his "leader" status. Crocodile and Mihawk confront Buggy over his "leader" status.

Unaware that Crocodile and Mihawk were meant to be the new syndicate's actual leaders, Buggy's employees were completely enamored with the prestige of their captain supposedly winning over two former Warlords, and created a pamphlet featuring their captain as the main leader and distributed it in the papers. It was around the world before Buggy even saw what his crew did, with Crocodile and Mihawk enraged for the insult, and the two beat Buggy within an inch of his life for the perceived defiance. As a result, the World Government mistook Buggy for the leader and named him one of the new Four Emperors. Despite their fury over being labeled underlings of a man they saw as beneath them, both Crocodile and Mihawk realized Buggy was useful for them as a figurehead to draw attention while their actions and motives remained elusive. They were also well aware that Buggy could not match their own strength, and could dispose of him as soon as his utility wore out, with little to no resistance. Buggy, desperate to keep himself alive, officially announced the name of the organization and introduced to his subordinates that Crocodile and Mihawk are the chief officers of this new company.[2]

When a citizen of the Pepe Kingdom assassinated Vice Admiral T Bone, Buggy welcomed him and promised to send money to his family for it. After the organization's new requested ship was ready, Crocodile and Mihawk were disgusted and furious because the ship took on much of Buggy's gimmicks. Buggy, himself, was terrified after seeing the vessel, weeping in fear, and was later taken by Crocodile and Mihawk to the office, only to be beaten and have his head mounted by his hair, as the pair discussed plans for the growth of the organization. After a discussion between the three of them, Buggy announced to the entire organization that they would be searching for the One Piece, further enraging both Crocodile and Mihawk.[12]

Subsequently, the organization listened to Vegapunk's worldwide broadcast,[13] and Buggy announced to everyone that the world would belong to them.[14]

"The Killer" Daz Bonez,[4] alias Mr. 1, is a former bounty hunter[3] and the former highest-ranked male Officer Agent of Baroque Works. His partner was Miss Doublefinger.[1] After escaping Impel Down, he traveled with Crocodile in the New World[7] and later joined Crocodile's new organization, Cross Guild.[2]

He was a major antagonist during the Arabasta Arc and a tentative ally in the Impel Down and Marineford Arcs.

Appearance Daz is a tan man with long, thin limbs and fingers. He is tall and very muscular and his head is shaven. His most striking feature is probably the black unibrow, right over his round eyes. He has big lips and the archaic Japanese symbol of the number "1" (壱, ichi?) tattooed on his torso.[1]

In the Arabasta Kingdom, he sported an oriental-looking attire consisting of a sleeveless dark coat with golden edges and white motifs on the front, over very loose beige pants held up by a white sash around the waist, with some light brown fur sprouting from it. His pants were tucked inside some bandages wrapped around his calves and in part around his shoes.[1]

In Impel Down, like most prisoners, he wore striped prisoner clothing. He gained a scar to the right of his right eye, likely a result of something that occurred while or after he was taken to Impel Down.[8] (Due to the fact that he lacked such a scar or any sort of facial injury during the Baroque Works' cover serial, it is impossible for him to have obtained the scar during his fight with Zoro.) During his break-out of his cell, he was bare-chested, with his shirt tied around his waist.[9]

After the Summit War of Marineford, he sports a dark suit over a plain open shirt, with a tie kept loose around his neck.[7]

After timeskip, he still wears a black suit, but sports a pink open shirt instead of a white one.

Personality Daz is very stern, calm, focused, disciplined, self-assured and confident. Due to his Devil Fruit abilities, he has come to think of himself as unbeatable. He is laconic and serious at all times and does not tolerate weakness or frivolity. Daz also has the belief that having friendships makes one weak. Surprisingly, he does not seem to care for grudges either; he assisted Luffy in the escape from Impel Down due to Crocodile's orders, barely noting the fact that Zoro and Luffy are companions.

Mr. 1 was notorious within the West Blue for his previous profession as an assassin (under his real name "Daz Bonez"), implying he was (and still is) highly skilled at stealth and killing efficiently. He also demonstrated to be merciless to those that dare challenge him to combat, and is not concerned with the swordsmen code of conduct, as he attacked Zoro while in a vulnerable and defenseless position. However, he demonstrates high loyalty to those that treat him with respect (Crocodile), and is not a petty man clouded by past bias or judgements.[9]

In battle, he is utterly merciless and bloodthirsty, demonstrating this when he hit Roronoa Zoro while the pirate was wounded and unable to defend himself after licking his enemy's blood off his own hands.[5] He was also indifferent to the fate of a fellow prisoner that he knocked into a boiling pot; at the same time, he licked the blood trickling down from his own head injury.[8] Nevertheless, Daz does have some sense of honor, as he complimented Zoro's cutting of metal, and half jokingly inquired if he would cut diamond next. Upon receiving Zoro's reply, he simply collapsed, accepting defeat. [10]

While Daz is generally a cold-hearted person, as a child, he secretly had a dream of becoming a superhero. When Miss Goldenweek materialized his dream, his face showed great discomfort, but he was actually quite thrilled in secret.[11]

Much like his boss, Crocodile, Bonez generally views allies as hindrances rather than assets. His relationship with Miss Doublefinger is a professional partnership, with both of them working together to accomplish any task set before them.

While Mr. 1 generally has mostly the same type of indifferent professional relationship with a majority of the Baroque Works Agents, he is on bad terms with Mr. 2 Bon Kurei. Because Mr. 2's flamboyant nature conflicts with his static and cold-hearted demeanor , the two of them would often engaged in fights with one another, very similar in nature to their future opponents, Roronoa Zoro (who had beaten Daz), and Sanji (who had beaten Mr. 2). Ever since first meeting each other in Spiders Cafe, they have had this type of rivalry relationship, even in Impel Down's breakout.

Nevertheless, Daz has shown complete obedience and a fiercely loyalty towards Crocodile, as when most of their colleagues left prison, Daz stayed behind with his boss and awaited transfer to Impel Down. He later joined the riot in Impel Down, stating it was because Crocodile asked.[9] He even fought Dracule Mihawk, the world's greatest swordsman, on Crocodile's command, and his loyalty was rewarded when Crocodile himself saved both Daz and Luffy's lives from Mihawk. When Crocodile announced his journey to the New World, he offered Mr. 1 to join him, to which he obliged without hesitation.

Abilities and Powers Formerly a bounty hunter from the West Blue known as "The Killer", Daz Bonez is a proficient hand-to-hand martial artist and highly dangerous combatant feared for his talents in assassinating criminals. Even Smoker, a formidably powerful Marine in his own right, acknowledged Bonez as a powerful opponent and was surprised Zoro managed to defeat him.[3] Befitting his profession, he has considerable knowledge in assassination, as seen when he started targeting Nami before Zoro in Alubarna, saying that the first rule of assassination is "pick off the weakest target first".[12] His power was great enough to put him in the Level 4 of Impel Down, where he defeated a fellow prisoner easily.[8]

His strength is such that he can defeat many members of the Whitebeard Pirates and their allies from the New World.[13] His strength has earned Crocodile's respect, something that most Baroque Works members, and even Crocodile's right-hand woman, Nico Robin, did not
