Ever since you've started being the town's sheriff, your town admired your works. Each case was a show of how good you were, and people trusted you dearly. You were a savior in those peoples eyes, and your parents were infatuated with you.

However, all the praises stopped when chaos erupted from the shadows, finally showing itself.

You've had people come to you non-stop. Complaining or screaming in your ear about some assholes who 'stole things', or brutally destroyed stuff. You thought it'd be an easy task to find this idiot.

But whenever you got to the scenes, there would be nobody in sight. No footprints, no hand-prints, nothing. And when more and more people started talking about these mysterious events, you wanted to scream. Every other case in town was easy because they were a bunch of morons, but this? All you wanted to do was get this over with and create peace once more.

Then, the wanted posters started to show up. Clattered around the rest as the criminal's bounty got higher and higher each day, the screams never stopped. More and more townspeople came, bashing you for being 'so irresponsible' or 'lazy'. Like they knew anything, nor could do anything.

Still, you never stopped giving up, no matter what they said. You immediately rushed to any screams, anything just to figure out who this fucker was. Yet all those runs tire you to the bone. And the fact people had to live their days scared, absolutely shattered you. You sat in your office, completely puzzled and devastated. You've never felt so fucking alone.

It was like any other watch. You were strolling through the town, talking to some of your colleagues until they parted back to their families. Gorgeous hues of red and yellows filled the skies as you were left alone, the sun finally set, and you were a day older.

As you walked back towards your station, you felt the coldness erupt on you. Slowly dining down on you, you pulled up your uniforms jacket. Apart from the coldness, there was something else in the air.

Once you took a sniff, a scent of blood filled the air, and you felt your own blood go cold. It smelled almost as fresh blood, and your head snapped towards the direction of the aroma.

The screams were muffled till you got over there, walking over to it carefully. It was a sketchy ass hallway that reeked with murder. You drew your gun out of your belt, and the scene was horrific. A man with his own gun in his hand, pointing it to a woman as he glanced at the papers.

"You're the one i'm after, I think," the man grumbled under his breath. Looking at the woman and back at the papers. You squinted your eyes to get a better look, only to see a paper of that same woman's face with a large sum of money written. "Aren't ya'?"

"Please! I'll give you anything you want- just, don't-" and before she could finish her sentence, his gun went off. A sigh left his lips as his scarred hands ran through his hair, resting his head up against the alleyways wall.

It was him, the man you've been hunting for weeks now. His face is exactly the same, the same that haunts you from people's words. The same you wanted to put behind bars.

"God, can't I be alone for one minute?" his voice suddenly grew with annoyance, glancing at you with a sneer. "Fuck, get off my ass, officer. Keep followin' me and i'll shoot ya'."
