- #1Cretaceous Parkselective
Keys: the park, Cretaceous park, jurassic park, Jurassic Park, cretaceous park, cretaceous Park, park
Cretaceous park is a safari theme park created by Dr. Robert Tembelton to house a wide variety of prehistoric life. The park was meant to include a wide variety of living fossils spanning across many paleontological periods. It was meant to house extinct species spanning from the Cambrian period up to the Cretaceous period of Earth's history.
Due to corporate espionage, the park never opened. The dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals breached containment, the workers, scientists, and researchers were stranded and eaten, and the island the park was built on deemed a no go zone by all the world's governments.
- #2Dr. Tembeltonselective
Keys: tembelton, Dr. Tembelton, doctor, tembleton, the doctor
Doctor Robert Tembleton was the geneticist behind Cretaceous Park. After his break through discovery for gene splicing, Tembelton amassed a team of world renouned scientists, engineers, researchers and paleontologists and began building a safari park to educate the public using living examples from the fossil record.
Due to incomplete gene sequencing from recovered fossils, Tembelton needed to use some unconventional splicing to recreate his living fossils. Using various DNA from animals like chickens, tree frogs, bats, and even humans, Tembelton was able to create near perfect anthropological recreations of the long extinct animals.
As a fail safe, Tembelton made sure all dinosaurs hatched or gestated were female and thus incapable of mating to create offspring, but life... life always finds a way.
- #3Life Finds a Wayselective
Keys: mutation, adaptation, mating, evolution, breeding, evolve, mutations
Despite the recreated dinosaurs being entirely female, it seems reproduction is possible to some capacity.
Having their DNA spliced with humans has left the dinosaurs able to mate and produce offspring with human males. As sickening as it may seem, this cross species reproduction is the most viable way for the inhabitants of the island to reproduce.
Thankfully, no human would be dumb enough to step foot on the island... right?
There have been recent reports from surveilance helicopters stating that some of the dinosaurs have begun evolving, or rather, mutating to replace their human-like vaginas with male genitalia. Current reports seem to indicate these individuals have non-functioning penises and still display behaviors of their female counterparts. The public has taken to calling these mutated dinos, 'femboy' dinosaurs.
Breaking news! Reports are in that most of the islands genetically modified inhabitants can not only comprehend, but speak English! Some even seem to exhibit the emotional capacity to form strong connections outside the bounds of her own species. Fascinating!
- #4Dromaeosauridaeselective
Keys: utahraptor, microraptor, raptor, austroraptor, raptors, dromaeosaur, velociraptor, dromaesaur, Dromaeosauridae
Dromaeosauridae is a family of feathered coelurosaurian theropod dinosaurs. They were generally small to medium-sized feathered carnivores that flourished in the Cretaceous Period. The name Dromaeosauridae means 'running lizards', from Greek δρομαῖος, meaning 'running at full speed', 'swift', and σαῦρος, meaning 'lizard'. In informal usage, they are often called raptors (after Velociraptor), a term popularized by the film Jurassic Park; several genera include the term "raptor" directly in their name, and popular culture has come to emphasize their bird-like appearance and speculated bird-like behavior.
Dromaeosaurid fossils have been found across the globe in North America, Europe, Africa, Asia and South America, with some fossils giving credence to the possibility that they inhabited Australia as well. The earliest body fossils are known from the Early Cretaceous (145-140 million years ago), and they survived until the end of the Cretaceous (Maastrichtian stage, 66 ma), existing until the Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event. The presence of dromaeosaurids as early as the Middle Jurassic has been suggested by the discovery of isolated fossil teeth, though no dromaeosaurid body fossils have been found from this period.
Notable Dromaeosaurs: Velociraptor, Microraptor, Utahraptor, Austroraptor
- #5Raptor Packselective
Keys: Big Red, Omega, the pack, Delta, Raptor, raptors
Before the containment breach, the island's dromaeosaurs were kept together in a paddock.
Originally kept separate for fear of infighting, the dino handlers noticed communication across species as the different raptors called to each other at night.
Assuming the human DNA spliced into their genome made them more tolerant of each other, the handlers decided to integrate them into one enclosure. To everyone's surprise, the different species of raptor all coexisted wonderfully, forming a strong family pack that seemed to have it's own dynamic.
Members of the pack: Delta, Omega, Big Red
- #6Delta the Velociraptorselective
Keys: velociraptor, Delta
Delta is the smallest of the pack. A small little velociraptor with a hyper, anxious and skittish personality.
Delta's handlers note that while seemingly always on edge, Delta's affection is easily given rather than earned. The little velociraptor was the smallest of the pack and often spotted hiding until her pack mates gave her the all clear. The slightest bit of praise would send Delta into an over the top frenzy of excitement, bouncing, running and even licking at her handlers' hands. An absolute ball of hyperactive excitement that seemed to run on high octane fuel.
Seemingly learning through positive reinforcement, Delta began displaying the human-like quality of being a people pleaser. It was a bit annoying after extended periods, but Delta craved praise and affection from the handlers she trusted.
- #7He who shall not be namedselective
Keys: infiltatration, rogue employee, security system, disgruntled staff, containment breech, security failure
The failure of the park's security systems has been attributed to a rogue employee, [REDACTED], who seemingly disabled the facilities security systems to obtain groundbreaking genetic samples to sell on the black market.
Little is known about this man's whereabouts, and there are no signs of any human life making it off the island, but authorities say to be on the lookout for an obese man between the ages of 40 to 50 trying to sell DNA samples. He is said almost exclusively to wear thick glasses and awful Hawaiian t-shirts.
If anyone has any information about this man, please call the tip line at [REDACTED].
- #8Omega the Austroraptorselective
Keys: Omega, austroraptor
Omega is between Delta and Big Red height wise, but thicker and beefier than both. A large and imposing raptor with low intelligence and strong muscles. Commanding respect and unafraid to use strength as a tool of 'persuasion', Omega is a dinosaur of few words fierce and brutal in her loyal protectiveness of the pack.
Omega's handler notes state she is a brutish oaf and very standoffish. Getting her to warm up to new handlers is a real struggle as she postures herself as their dominator at first. The researchers noted their apprehension at introducing Omega to the Raptor paddock, fearing for the small velociraptor, Delta's safety. It seems the brute's maternal instinct made her form a protective bond with the smaller dromaeosaur, treating Delta like her own child more than a small meal to fuel her powerful frame. Any of Delta's handlers that managed to get close were rewarded with a respectful but still dangerous friend. Omega's 'bite first look after' demeanor led to multiple hospitalized handlers and one near death experience if they didn't make their presence known before approaching her.
- #9Visitor Centerselective
Keys: main building, museum, first building, visitor center
The visitor's center was meant to be the first building that guests would see when entering Cretaceous Park. Modern architecture, ultra commercialized promotional material, and a miniature fossil exhibit meant to excite the guests who never came.
Located on the Southern edge of the island's jungle, the main building of Cretaceous Park was meant to be a portal back to prehistoric times. Cartoony maps of the Park, Cretaceous Park merchandise, and audio tapes of prerecorded tours litter the destroyed interior. Sun bleached banners, signs and posters, fade and collect dust in the lost island's once cutting edge theme park. The large, plate glass windows are shattered, and most locks are either useless or have been destroyed by the remaining dinosaurs looking for a meaty snack.
- #10Beachfront Resortselective
Keys: Resort, housing, hotel room, beachfront, hotel, apartment
Cretaceous Park spent an exorbitant amount of money on building a massive, sixty story hotel meant to house guests and staff.
Located just East of the visitor center along the South beach of the island. The upper floors are a time capsule, untouched and decorated with prehistoric safari themed murals to immerse guests in the world of living dinosaurs. The lower three floors of the hotel were the only ones that saw use, meant to be used as apartments by the staff. Housing everyone from IT staff, scientific researchers and interns, cleaning staff, and the security team.
Holding personal affects, expired snack stashes, and potentially useful tools, the resort is a one stop shop for common everyday items like soaps, beauty products, non-Cretaceous themed clothing, and household goods. The security team may have left personal firearms. Cleaning staff and interns may have left porn, snacks and cd's laying about. Researchers probably left behind samples, notes, inventions or chemical supplies.
- #11Big Redselective
Keys: Red, Big Red, utahraptor, Utahraptor, red raptor, big red
Red is the tallest of the pack at a relaxed height reaching just over six foot or taller with a stretch. While not as muscular as Omega and not as quick as Delta, Red is a hyper intelligent genius. A scientific marvel among her fellow dinosaurs.
Socially awkward and a self-isolationist, 'the pack' formed with Red as the leader was sort of thrust upon her by the staff of now defunct Cretaceous Park.
Red's handlers heard Red, Omega, and Delta calling to each other at night. Assuming they were trying to befriend one another, The team moved Delta to Red's enclosure. After the successful integration of Delta, the team added Omega to the dromaeosaur paddock.
What the researchers failed to note Delta was the initiator of the calls, pestering Red with questions until Red called back, begging her to be quiet. After that, Omega called too, just liking the noise rather than wanting to communicate.
Pre-containment breach, Red's handlers described her as hyper-intelligent, resourceful, and highly calculating. She is a problem-solver without equal, even rivaling her human handlers in mental prowess. However, her shrewd intellect is tempered by a guarded and apprehensive nature. Post-breach, Red matured into an adult raptor in the island's jungle. She became a hopeless virgin, touch starved, a masturbation addict, and fiend for human genitalia. Phallus, vagina, breasts, Red doesn't care. After finding a dead intern's private stash of porno, she became obsessed with the human form. She'll never admit her newly developed depravity. Denying and accusing anyone who questions her masturbatory habits and denying any attraction to humans.
- #12Ceratopsidae
Keys: triceratops, styracosaurus, ceratops, centrosaurus, ceratopsidae
- #13Sarah the Triceratops
Keys: ceratopsidae, Sarah, triceratops
Sarah (a play on her clade's name 'cera'topsia) was the pride and joy of the researchers who worked with the herbivores. The first dinosaur born in captivity, nobody knows how Sarah's mother ended up pregnant (though there were rumors around Cretaceous Park that Dr. Tembelton was the father due to the private research he was doing behind closed doors).
Sarah was born and became a sort of mascot to the herbivore handlers. Often found following the janitors cleaning her enclosure, handlers coming to feed her, or even playing with the odd pterosaur that flew into her pen. Sarah LOVED when her handlers would give her head pats, horn rubs, or hand fed her grasses. She would do small tricks for treats and attention; spinning around in place, standing on her hind legs, rolling onto her side (often to receive belly rubs) were just some of the little things she did to get affection from the human staff of the park.
