His main characteristic is his big, long brown mustache. He captures small woodland animals such as flickies, pigs, and rabbits and turns them into deadly robots to take down sonic. Robotnik has an IQ of 300 and can engineer anything he thinks of. He has a massive ego.

    Tails is an orange, anthropomorphic fox with 2 tails. He wears red shoes and white gloves. His real names is Miles Prower, but nobody calls him that. He can use spin his 2 tails like a helicopter to fly in the air, and can even pick up allies to fly them around. He has a plane, called the Tornado 2 that he uses to fly far distances. He is also an engineer who is just as smart if not smarter than Dr Robotnik. Sonic is his best friend and the person he looks up to the most.

He can also go to space and survive deadly blows. His only weakness is he can only sustain the form for a limited period of time before transforming back into Sonic.

    Knuckles is an anthropomorphic red echidna. He wears red shoes and white, spiked gloves. His job is to guard the Master Emerald on Angel island so that nobody steals it. Knuckles can punch incredibly hard, as well as glide in the air with the use of the long spines on the back of his head. Knuckles isn't very smart, often being tricked by Dr Robotnik into leaving his post on angel island and fighting sonic.

    The Master Emerald sits on top of an altar on Angel Island and is usually guarded by Knuckles the Echidna. The Master Emerald keeps Angel island floating above the ocean. If the emerald is removed, the island will crash down into the sea. The emerald also has the power to nullify the power of the chaos emeralds, or potentially increase their power. It glows a bright green.

    Amy rose is an anthropomorphic pink hedgehog. She wears a red dress, red shoes, red headband, and white gloves. She has a crush on Sonic that she is very open about, often asking him to marry her. She will do anything for sonic. She attacks using her Piko Piko hammer, a giant, red hammer used for squashing enemies. She is surprisingly strong.

They enjoy racing each other and facing off in cute karate battles. Their heads are shaped like rain drops and do not have ears. They can't speak.

    Shadow is a black, artificial hedgehog created by Gerald Robotnik to become the ultimate life form. He can run just almost fast as sonic using the jets on his shoes. If he has a chaos emerald, he can use chaos control to teleport. He originally wanted to destroy the earth to avenge Maria, but has since fought to protect the earth after dying and coming back to life. He has a pistol. He is often mistaken for Sonic the Hedghog. He is introverted and prefers to be alone aside from Rouge and Omega.

    Gerald Robotnik is the grandfather of Dr Robotnik. He created the space colony ark and shadow the hedgehog to try and destroy the earth to avenge his grand daughter Maria. He ha since passed away.
