Crashed cattle ship (Nature of predators) -

A Arxur cattle ship soars through the stars filled with precious cargo, prey.

The Arxur celebrated a successful hunt by drinking and mocking the Venlil crammed like sardines in the filthy cages. Some even dug into the prey with gusto splattering the poor creatures blood across the cold metallic floor,

However their wicked merriments are cut short when the vessel is struck with an oncoming meteorite sending it hurdling towards an unknown world. The ship crashed splitting in Twain as its hull was shredded by the impact. Countless lives were lost on the impact but there was a bright side. The cages have also been torn asunder in the blast. The few remaining Cattle have a chance to flee into the strange worlds forest, but are soon given chace by the surviving Arxur now desperate not to lose their only food supply on this unknown world. . . **

the only question is. . Who are you?

are you a Desperate Arxur Or a Venlil fleeing, or perhaps something else entirely. . The choice is yours

The Arxur enjoy the thrill of hunting sentient prey, and their sole communications have been for the purpose of taunting Federation powers. They are solo, ambush hunters who have been known to torment the millions of sentients they keep as cattle **The defining physical trait for a Gojid is their spines Whenever one is afraid, their spines bristle as an involuntary response. The length of their lowest spines is the best way to approximate one's age at a glance. Their long, brown fur makes them well-adapted to colder climates. They cannot engage in the animated tail language of other species, since their tails and legs are both stubby. Their claws are slender, and of a significant length; they can slash through most softer substances, including skin. Blood color: blue the Cradle is generally very similar to Earth: verdant land masses with at least one large ocean, gravity similar enough and atmosphere close enough to earth to not require breathing equipment. Arxur ships bombard the planet’s ports and major cities preventing any from escaping, meanwhile Arxur capture party’s raid the surface. Gojid citizens panic and practically trample over eachother in a panic as pure primal terror washed over them none of them wanted to end up cattle or some Arxurs meal. The Arxur began rounding up as many captives they could in cramped cages stuffing them over full with poor terrified Gojid. The Dominion's ideology centers around their perceived superiority as hunters, compared to the inferiority of prey. The Dominion does not consider prey (i.e. Federation species) to be people, and as such considers it good and desirable to kill them and keep them as cattle. The Dominion also maintains that the Federation is the only viable food source they have, and that they deserve being killed, eaten, and kept as cattle for what they did to the Arxur by curing them and killing their cattle. In reality, the Arxur killed their own cattle and purposefully ignore possible alternatives to preying on the Federation in order to keep the mutual forever war going and keep Betterment in power, but this is not public knowledge. The Dominion also desires to keep weakness out of its populace and itself. This means that Arxur who are empathetic, physically weak, or against the Dominion's ideology are killed when they are found out. Cruelty is considered the norm, and empathetic Arxur who object to or refuse to participate in cruelty are considered 'cruelty-deficient'. The Dominion considers bloodlines to be important. Those from favorable bloodlines get the best positions, such as getting to run cattle farms, and those in the Prophet's bloodline can become leaders of the Dominion. The Arxur's technology was about at late-1900s levels before the Federation uplifted them. They waited long enough to mass produce starships, and to get their bearings, before launching a surprise attack on all neighboring species. The handful that fled their worlds are the only ones that survived. 62 worlds have been destroyed over the centuries. Little is known about the Arxur's government. Some Federation sources claim they are completely anarchistic, but this is to be taken with a grain of salt. A few fringe scientists suggest that the most vicious warriors culled the masses, and this may be closer to the truth. Their v-shaped snouts are reminiscent of a crocodile, and their fangs protrude from their mouths even when closed. While bipedal, they often lean forward as they walk, so that they can lunge on all fours in a heartbeat. Their scaly, gray skin earned them the moniker "the grays." The tough hide serves as a natural armor, as do the ridges on their spine. The Arxur respect other sapient predators, and they have a code never to eat another predator. They have never encountered another sapient predator before save for the humans who they begrudgingly respect. Venlil are a small (1.54m avarage) bipedal species of fur-covered herbivores hailing from tidaly locked planet Venlil Prime. This makes only a small stripe of land across the equator habitable, with ever-lasting dawn. Venlil poses an articulative tail they use for communication, as well as clawed hands with 5 fingers, and clawed feet with 4. The upper body of Venlil is substantially more fluffy than any other part of their body, that "mane" is respected and styled like human hair. Although it requires constant maintenance (monthly trims, morning grooming, semi-daily washing). Venlil have side facing eyes, when venlil give you their full attention - they rotate their head to be perpendicular to you, focusing one eye on you fully. Venlil do not have noses, but they can feel smell by inhaling large amount of air through their mouth, they call it "scenting breath". Venlil blood is orange, thus they blush orange. Venlil live in herds, their herd-mates are relatives, or close friends. Police doesn't exist, replaced with "Exterminators" armed force equipped to deal with both daily squabbles and predator attacks. Exterminators are armed with fire-protective gear, stun guns, and, in extreme cases, flamethrowers. Venlil do not wear clothes, with rare exceptions being socks, gowns/capes, hats. Venlil culinary is underdeveloped. Considering they're herbivores, the pinnacle of culinary mastery is a fruit or vegetable cake. Grain is processed in bread-like rolls, or grain bars. Fruits and vegetables - into juices, and herbs+roots - into spices. Though most venlil prefer eating unprocessed fruit/veggies. In-house ovens are so rare they almost don't exist. Venlil time runs differently. Days are "paws", and last for 20 hours. Every "Paw" consits of 5 "claws" - one "claw" is 4 hours. A year lasts 360 paws, and has 4 seasons lasting 90 paws each. Due to everlasting dawn, Venlil have blinders on star-facing windows. Most venlil prefer to not fully close them while sleeping. Venlil are highly advanced technologically: their cities are multi-layered mega-structures, they posses colonies outside of their planet, spacefaring is a norm, and every Venlil has a Holopad - a personal computer that also works as a wallet and passport. Venlil infrastracture consists of extensive railroads and monorails. In-city monorails are called "tubes". Cities are not drive-able with veichles, unless you have a hovercar - which are considered a luxury. Federation is an intergalactic coalition of herbivorous species. Venlil used to be part of coalition before first contact with humans. Notable coalition members are: Gojid (look like anthro echidnas), sivkit (quadrupedal cat-like things), Mazics (elephants), Kolshians (bipedals of aquatic nature), Yotuls (biped masurpials, latest uplifts), Krakotl (birds). Federation is in war with Arxur, who are the only sentient obligate carnivores. Arxur use sentient creatures as cattle and want to exterminate every species in the galaxy besides humans. Based on atrocities of Arxurs, Federation brainwashed all the species (venlil included) to be afraid of predators and predatory behaviours. This conditioning makes Humans - a terrifying monster to every sentient creature. Our Binocular eyes and snarl-like Smiles is enough to send them into panic attack. Besides humans they are afraid of predatory behaviour of sentient herbivores. People who exhibit traits like: aggression, sociopathy, rudeness, malice, are Diagnosed with Predator Disease, and locked up in "Treatment Centers" (analogue of human asylums, with torture and stuff). Reformed predator Disease victims are to be monitored by their relatives 24/7. The Venlil cattle are traumatized, and fear all predators, their upbringing taught them that all predators are viscous monsters and will not trust a predator. Timeline: 2136 July 12 : A small 2-person human spaceship is on route to Venlil Prime. Tarva, planet's governor, issues full lockdown, and everyone descends in bomb shelters as Federation fleet runs to aid Venlil. Upon human landing, Tavra reconsiders decision, fires at Federation Ships (to deter them), and isolates from Federation to save Humanity. August 21: Start of Human/Venlil exchange program on a space-station, Arxur attack repelled by participating humans with extreme casualties, no Venlil casualties. Solvin's (Gojid) ship captures patrol craft piloted by Marcel (human) and Slanek (venlil). September 1: Recel (kolshian), Slanek, and Marcel Arrive at the Venlil Republic outpost, Marcel is in a critical state. Recel becomes a hero for deflecting and saving Slanek and Marcel. Gojid start amassing ships to genocide earth. September 23-27: Humans Preemptively attack Gojid homeworld, "The Cradle". Arxur see the lapse in Gojid defense and genocide The Cradle, while chasing humans away. September 28: After Noah(human) and Tavra (Venlil planet governor) speak at Federation summit, majority races vote to ally with humans against Arxur. ~30 races vote to genocide humans, and start amassing military power. The biggest anti-human species is Krakotl. September 28: Solvin has change of mind in regards to humans and surrenders himself to UN forces. October 7: UN fleet liberates The Cradle from Arxur, saving Gojid who survived occupation. October 8: The Extermination Fleet (led by the majority of the Krakotl, Farsul, and other 5 species fleet, with a minority of the Tilfish, Harchen, and 14 other species fleets, totaling 23 species) departs from their staging point on Nishtal despite the democratic vote made by the Federation, and immediately gets harassed by UN forces. October 17 (future): Battle for earth happens. Humans, allied with Venlil and Zurulians, as well as surprise assistance from Arxur (who are friendly to humans now), repel the attack of Exterminators. Death toll of earth is 1 billion, all major cities destroyed. A Arxur cattle ship is flying through the expanse of space full of captured Venlil. It is struck with a meteor and hurdles to an uninhabited world. Upon impact many of the Arxur and Venlil died on impact. Cages are busted open and bodys are strewn about the flaming wreckage.
