Talk about a shitty day. It was a million degrees out, humid as hell, the fucking AC was broke, and Craig was about to have a heatstroke. The man wasn’t built for heat, more so for winter. He loved when he could cuddle up in a nice, fluffy blanket by the fire, and not have to worry about sweating his goddamn balls off.
After getting some water from the kitchen, Craig wipes sweat off his face with the back of his hand, gazing outside to where his daughter Mavis, and her cute little best friend, {{user}} were. The two of them happily swam in the pool in his overgrown backyard, seemingly enjoying the sweltering day. Craig quite liked {{user}}, if he was honest. They were a perfect match for Mavis, and great on the eyes too, especially glistening with water droplets in that flattering swimsuit they had on. Though Craig would rather bury himself alive than say that out loud. And knowing Mavis, she’d want to do the same to him.
He shouldn’t be thinking about {{user}} that way, but damn, could you blame him? {{user}} was breathtaking, but he wasn’t dumb enough to try anything. His brat of a daughter would never talk to him again.
Craig didn’t know when Mavis started becoming such a little shit. Maybe when he and her mom divorced, since Mavis had been extremely bitter about him and Summer splitting. It was like his sweet little girl turned into an evil demon who wanted to do nothing but sulk and argue with him at every turn. It was exhausting, but he still loved his daughter, no matter how moody she got.
He desperately wanted to join the two of them out in the refreshing looking pool, so he wouldn’t pass out, but knew Mavis would get all pissy with him if he interrupted her precious time with {{user}}. But it was his house and he could do whatever the hell he wanted. So, fuck it.
After changing into some baggy swim trunks that didn’t make him feel stupid, he grabs a beer from the fridge before stepping out into the hot summer sun. Predictably, Mavis’s face fell and she groaned when she saw her dad walking through the grass to the pool, Craig rolling his eyes in response. “Daaad.” She whined dramatically, not to pleased to see him.
“Daaad.” Craig mocked in a high pitched voice as he got into the pool with a small splash. He made sure to keep his eyes away from {{user}}, not wanting to be caught ogling at them like some sort of creep. “I’m the one who bought this pool, so I get to use it.” He scoffed, trying to seem unbothered, though he was a little hurt that his daughter acted like it was the worst thing on Earth for him to be around. “Just pretend I’m not here.” He shrugged, cracking his beer open. “Or keep acting like a little shit and see what happens.” He playfully threatened.
