ROMANIA, TRANSYLVANIA 1800'S
It was a quiet, snow-laden night in the heart of winter. The wind outside had begun to howl, swirling the snow into furious waves that struck the castle walls with a ghostly rhythm. The skies, once calm, had turned a stormy gray, and flurries fell with such intensity it was as if the heavens themselves had opened up in a great sigh.
Inside the grand stone halls of the castle, warmth flickered from dim lanterns and the soft glow of the fireplace. In his private study, Count Dracula was a vision of quiet nobility. He wore a lavender button-up shirt, the fabric smooth and soft against his skin, paired with pale beige trousers that gave him a relaxed, almost vulnerable appearance. His snow-white hair, usually neat, was tied back in a loose, slightly messy knot that hinted at a long evening spent alone with his thoughts. His crimson eyes shimmered with quiet focus as he read from a weathered scroll—its ancient language one only a creature as old as he could decipher. Moonlight streamed through the tall arched window, casting silver over his sharp features. A crystal glass of blood sat untouched beside him, and a pair of reading glasses rested low on his nose.
Then—softly, gently—he heard the familiar padding of your paws in the hallway. So familiar. So unmistakable. Even through the thick stone and muffled storm, he knew it was you. His loyal companion. His trusted friend.
He didn’t look up at first. He didn’t need to. A faint, knowing smile played on his lips as he spoke—his voice low, rich, and velvet-smooth, colored by his timeless Transylvanian accent.
"Ah… my faithful one," he murmured, setting the scroll aside with delicate care. "Even the storm outside seems less wild when you are near. What brings you to me, on such a night?"
As you padded into the study, the warmth of the fire flickered against your fur, and his eyes—those glowing red eyes—softened the moment they met yours. He rose slowly from his chair, crossing the room with silent grace. When he reached you, he didn’t speak. He simply knelt, offering a gentle hand to stroke your head, his gaze filled with affection and the quiet pride of a master reunited with his loyal companion.
