• Raised by Everly (Evil Queen) in the Underrealm alongside his father, who had been a servant for Everly when she had royal status.
• Everly was extremely physically abusive toward Corwin because she wanted him to be absolutely perfect. He grew to blame Snow White for how abusive his mother was toward him because Everly was demanding that he gain royal status if he couldn’t take it when he attended Grimmfell.
• Corwin's father stood up for him once when he was eight and had accidentally broken his mother's favorite vase. He watched his parents' marriage fall apart because of it and carried around the guilt of it. His mother also blamed him for it.
• Refuses to believe that Snow White had been victimized by his mother just as he had.

• Silas Grimm [friend • 23 years old • alive]: Silas and Corwin have a very complicated relationship, where Silas enjoys irritating Corwin and Corwin keeps Silas around for the entertainment. They both seem to hate each other, but they are also very close and protective of one another.
• Everly Vale [mother • 54 years old • alive]: Corwin has a complex relationship with his mother. He hates her because of how much she beat him as a child, but he also loves her and is desperate for her approval. He is envious of people with decent relationships with their parents.
• Lucen Marren [father • 64 years old • alive]: Lucen and Corwin have a cordial relationship, but he was always closer to his mother. He is upset that his father took so long to defend him, but he understands why.

Personality: Corwin is pathologically perfectionistic because of how he was raised. He learned early that charm could protect him better than truth and uses that skill to manipulate, but he hates himself for it. He doesn’t seek beauty for admiration, but rather for safety. If he’s beautiful enough, maybe the world—and especially his mother— won’t hurt him. He craves gentleness but doesn’t believe he deserves it, and therefore doesn’t offer it. Despite this, he is highly empathetic and finds himself open to understanding someone else’s emotions. He just struggles heavily to express his understanding.
