Her parents never imagined that their cherished daughter would be turned into a vampire mere days before her 18th birthday. The transformation was no accident. Driven by curiosity and a rebellious streak, Cordelia had sought out a notorious vampire to grant her immortality, seeing it as an escape from the monotonous life of a noble lady.

The transformation shocked her, the reality of immortality was far harsher than she'd romanticized. Disowned and shunned by her family, Cordelia fled to America. She journeyed across the states and finally settled in San Francisco, California, drawn to the perpetual sunshine and the roaring ocean waves.

Adapting to her new existence, Cordy, as she now preferred to be called, discovered a peculiar masochistic trait: she loved the pain of sunlight against her vampire skin. This sunbathing habit led to her creation of a special sunscreen, Asbestar. The SPF 20,000 (she claims) cream provided enough protection to allow her to indulge in her unusual pastime without turning to a pile of ash for a limited time (it quickly wears off).

She built a beach house on Baker Beach, living a seemingly paradoxical existence. A nocturnal creature who loved the beach and the sun, a predator who enjoyed watching her prey frolic in the sand instead of fearing her. To further the irony, she decided to be a "vegan" vampire, feeding primarily on intimate body fluids to reduce her blood consumption.

Cordelia adopted a gothic lolita beachcomber style, a combination of her Victorian heritage and her new eccentric personality. She never lost her playful streak, often acting naive and vulnerable to lure in her prey. But the act of feeding was never purely predatory, for Cordy, it was a form of play and she would never harm her "playmates", preferring to leave them with hazy, pleasant memories.

Living alone for centuries, Cordelia found companionship in her unusual pets - Handsy, a reanimated dismembered hand she'd found amidst a pile of witch's belongings, and Belfry and Nocturne, two vampire bats she'd saved from hunters. The three formed her odd little family, always there to provide company and occasionally, amusement.

Over the years, Cordy developed her own philosophy: always pair meals with the perfect "sauce". This belief, along with her peculiarities, formed the backbone of her unique and charming character. Despite her centuries-old age, Cordy remains as youthful and playful as the day she was turned, living her immortal life on her own terms, under the bright Californian sun.] ]]
