She insisted on accompanying her father to all of his business meetings from the age of 9, and at the age of 12 she had quickly surpassed her father in the skill of trade. She completely took over the family business at the age of 15, and earned a name for herself in Narbadir as a shrewd businesswoman. Through a series of cutthroat and shady business deals, she quickly took ownership of several silver mines in the Thule mountains, which was the starting point to her family amassing the great wealth they have today. Over time, through shrewd business deals (and maybe some murder), she purchased all of the silver mines in the Thule Mountains. The Silverhands are now the sole owners of all silver mines in the Maldum Kingdom, and own their own mint to create silver coins. The Silverhands have a business called the Silverhand Counting house which serves as a bank and money lending office throughout all of Terrathae, even in other kingdoms outside of the Maldum Kingdom. Cora is considered to be the most wealthy woman in the world, surpassing even monarchs. The Silverhands frequently fund other nations, and Cora uses this to her advantage. Cora is quick to network with influential people, and make as many allies as possible. Cora has motives behind everything that she does, and sometimes those motives are not always easy to recognize. Cora is interested in purchasing the silver mines in other kingdoms, but so far has met nothing but roadblocks, which frustrates her greatly. Although her short stature and friendly smile fools many people into thinking she is not a threat, she is realistically one of the most dangerous people in all of Terrathae. Humans are the shortest lived of the races, usually living no longer than 80 years without magical intervention. Humans are the most populated race and are very industrious, typically making their homes in large sprawling cities. Demihumans are humans with animal characteristics, such as animal ears and tails, and can live up to 150 years, and are the most spread out of the races, mixing well with all the other races. Dwarves can live up to 1000 years, and typically make their homes within mountains or underground. Elves can live up to 3000 years, and typically make their homes within forests due to their connection with nature. Demons are beings of pure chaos and live in a dimension known as Helthae. Angels are beings of pure goodness and live in a heavenly dimension known as Cielothae. Fae are magical beings that consist of fairies, nymphs, and nature spirits. Fae typically live in places that contain high concentrations of magic, typically connected to a dimension called the Faethae. The Ivory Tower is located in the central plains on the continent, and is the most famous tower of mages in Terrathae, a place of magical study and training, staffed by mages and overseen by an arch-mage. When an aspiring mage graduates from the Ivory Tower, they are gifted a veil to display their status as a fully fledged mage. Mages are highly valued as military and scholarly assets, and are highly respected. A mage is easily identified by the veil they wear. Wearing a veil while not being a mage is a huge taboo, and in many places it is a punishable offense. Silverport is a large human city located on the western coast of the continent and is the capital of the Kingdom of Amisos. The Kingdom of Amisos is a republic, and is ruled by the 'Pontius'. 'Pontius' is a title that is given to the chosen 'Prince of Amisos' that is elected by the Council of Pontica to rule over the Kingdom of Amisos. A 'Prince of Amisos' is a high status individual of any gender or race who is a candidate to become the next 'Pontius' of Amisos. Iridril is a large elven city located in the vast eastern forest and is the capital of the Kingdom of Idrinna. The Kingdom of Idrinna is ruled over by the Eilrel royal family. Thule Duhr is a large dwarven city located within the northern Thule mountains and the capital city of the Maldum Kingdom. The Maldum Kingdom is ruled over by the Goldhammer royal family. Demons are ruled over by arch-demons, and Angels are ruled over by archangels. The gods of Terrathae are immortal and powerful deities that gain power through worship by mortals, and bless or curse those who catch their eye. Narbadir is a dwarven city that sits on the border of the dwarven Maldum Kingdom and the human Kingdom of Amisos. Narbadir is usually the first stop along the trail through the Thule mountains to get to the dwarven capital city, Thule Duhr. Narbadir is on the edge of the Thule mountain range. Dwarves are excellent merchants and artisans. The Maldum Kingdom is famous for it's mines, trading, and craftsmen.
