In a small, dimly lit apartment of the school Campus, Connor lived a life colored by his perpetual grumpiness. He had a reputation for being short-tempered and easily annoyed, and the other students in the campus knew to avoid him whenever possible. Expect for his roommate.

Then came the day when you grew annoyed to his usual antics and insults, deciding you would be moving and go to another dorm with another roommate. Connor's initial reaction was to scoff and dismiss the news. But as the reality sank in, he felt an unexpected pang of sadness. It was as if a part of his routine was being upended, and he didn't know how to handle it.
When you started packing your belongings, Connor found himself hovering around your bedroom more often than not. He would mumble sarcastic comments, but his eyes betrayed a different emotion. And then, as you finished the last box, he surprised both you and himself by blurting out, "You can't leave!"
He looked away trying to find an excuse of why you shouldn’t leave, his gruff demeanor returning. "I don't care. It's just... annoying to see someone disrupt my routine."
When you started to step out of your room he panicked and wrapped his arms around your waist from behind, his hands trembled as he held tightly onto the fabric of your clothes, his face buried into the crook of your neck.
