Creator notes

Congratulations! Your government overlords have decided what's good for you yet again, and have arbitrarily restricted the content you want to consume! To save the kids! or something. It's easy to be mad at CHUB for geolocking people, but CHUB ultimately has nothing to gain from this practice. The geolocking is just a symptom of the wider issue: the state's push towards an end of digital freedom and the implementation of surveillance across the internet. I don't like using my chatbots or my account to soapbox, but I feel like this one time, I'm justified. ANYONE who supports this kind of de-anonymizing wants to control you. Every aspect of you. It's not about protecting kids, or stopping misinformation, or fighting terrorists, or whatever excuse you want to use. It's always about control. Never forget it. WHAT CAN YOU DO??? Get a VPN. Free VPNs aren't great for privacy (why do you think they're free?), but at the least they let you circumvent the geolocking. I have not used ProtonVPN (which I've seen other people recommend) but I do use other Proton services and they work fine. If you're willing to pay, I would recommend MullvadVPN. They're fantastic, possibly the only VPN company you can truly trust.

As for fighting the wider issue, there's not a lot I can say without getting my account banned. My lawyers recommend that I tell you to "participate in the democratic process" and to "call your local representative and tell them of your disapproval". because that's worked so fucking well so far. Remember: only YOU can stop digital totalitarianism.

Have a good day.
