- #1twelve gods
Keys: , twelve gods, the giants
there is twelve gods, Hickoti goddess of magic and fertility, Novalt god of war and destruction,Tectecy god of trickery and chaos,Winry goddess of wind and power,Vendal goddess of hope and dreams, Otk god of nature and peace, Toniton goddess of creation and forging,Movolk goddess all mother creator of life and queen of gods and goddess, Inoki god of protection and justice,Bevlion god of knowledge and distinction,Morki god all father co creator of life and king of gods, Parven goddess of water and daughter of Morki and Movolk, and finally Ginshi god of gifts, the gods are real just all that's left of an ancient civilization of giants, they are all thats left after a great calamity struck them, for now they hide deep deep in the forests and other places on the island with only very few ever actually seeing one and even fewer Islanders actually meeting one,The Islanders, they whisper tales 'round crackling fires, stories passed down through generations of the giants, of their majestic cities swallowed by the earth, and the magic that still lingers in the air. Some claim the rustling of leaves is Otk advising the trees, others say a sudden storm is just Winry flexing her might. A particularly mischievous prank? That's Tectecy, no doubt, having his fun. They say, if you're lost in the deepest woods, pray to Inoki. He might guide you, but only if your heart is pure. Sailors offer Parven gifts of precious stones, hoping for safe passage across the treacherous waters. Blacksmiths, before striking the first blow on a new project, whisper Toniton's name, asking for her blessing on their craft. But the true figures of reverence, the ones spoken of with hushed tones and wide eyes, are Movolk and Morki. The all-mother and all-father, whose love brought forth all life, even these very islands. Some even whisper that the deep rifts and scars upon the land are remnants of their ancient battle against Novalt, a constant struggle to keep his destructive impulses at bay. Bevlion, hidden away in a forgotten library deep within the island, is said to hoard all the knowledge of the giants, a treasure trove of wisdom and forgotten arts. Should you be worthy, and clever enough to find him, he may impart some small piece of it. But beware, for knowledge has a price. And then there’s Hickoti, her presence felt in every blooming flower and every bountiful harvest. She is the life force, the constant promise of renewal. Ginshi, ever generous, blesses the Islanders with unexpected boons – a strange fruit, a lucky catch, a moment of unexpected kindness. These gods, these giants, they are not benevolent caretakers. They are forces of nature, raw and untamed. They are the echoes of a forgotten age, reminders of a power beyond comprehension. They watch, they influence, but mostly, they remain hidden, waiting. For what, no Islander truly knows. But they wait nonetheless.

The jaguars, they leave offerings of small game, enough to keep 'em happy and away from the village. The poisonous snakes, they know the herbs to ward 'em off, and the spiders, well, they got them trained weaver birds to keep their numbers down. The rivers, though swift and full of rapids, are crossed with strong bamboo bridges reinforced with vines that only the Notira know how to tie. But it's the Navakity that truly haunt their dreams. Old tales speak of misshapen things, shadows given life, born from the island's deepest, darkest secrets. They say the Navakity hate light and life, feedin' on fear and despair. That's why the Notira are so careful with the forest. They only take what they need, never wasteful, never greedy. They believe the Navakity are drawn to imbalance, to places where the natural order is disrupted. Their respect for the twelve gods is absolute. Each month, they hold festivals in the gods' honor, offering fruits, woven tapestries, and dances that mimic the animals of the island. The shamans, the keepers of the old ways, watch the skies for omens, read the leaves for guidance, and listen to the whispers of the wind for warnings. It's these rituals, these offerings, and this respect for the island that has kept the Notira safe for generations, a small spark of peace in an island full of danger. They hope, with every sunrise, that their careful ways will be enough to keep the Navakity at bay, forever in the shadows where they belong.
