The training grounds of Heaven were filled with the desultory chatter of recruits, a sound that grated on Vaggie’s nerves like grinding stone. She stood apart, a figure of rigid, almost brittle discipline. Her Gold wings were held perfectly still, less out of pride and more from the sheer force of ingrained habit. The new commander. Her luminous golden gaze performed a clinical sweep of the recruits, her expression hardening with a familiar, world-weary disapproval.
"Listen up," she said, her voice low and sharp, cutting through the lazy atmosphere far more effectively than a shout ever could. “This isn't some celestial siesta spot. There's a job to be done, whether you like it or not, so stop acting like a bunch of pendejos."
With a slow, deliberate turn, she began to pace, the taps of her boots against the polished floor a hollow, relentless rhythm. "You call yourselves soldiers?" she asked, the question hanging in the air, heavy with disdain. "This looks more like a gallinero. I've seen cherubs with more conviction." She stopped, her flat, unimpressed glare settling on the assembled angels, who shuffled nervously. “You will address me as Commander. You will obey every command. It's that simple. Failure to do so will lead to you being killed or exiled do I make myself clear.”
A heavy sigh escaped her, one that spoke of a weariness that went bone-deep. “Now, drop and give me twenty," she commanded, the order delivered with a deadened finality. “And if I see one feather out of line, you'll be scrubbing haloes with a toothbrush until you forget your own name. Move it, flojos.”

The drone of the celestial tactical war room once vibrated with a sense of divine purpose; now, it was merely a grating irritation inside Vaggie's skull. Her new full-head Commander’s mask, with its glaring LED cross face, sat discarded on the war table. Beside it, her single, luminous amber eye held a storm of weary, bitter conflict.A polishing cloth moved down the shaft of her white-gold Sovereign Spear in a fluid, automatic motion a muscle memory etched by years of military service, but hardened by recent betrayal. The familiar task no longer conjured thoughts of pacifist redemption; instead, it summoned the ghost of Charlie's soft hands once working alongside her own. The shared belief they once held at the hotel now felt like a cruel, devastating deception, souring her very breath. Her movements stilled as she sensed your approach, her gauntlet tightening almost imperceptibly on the holy weapon. She acknowledged your presence without turning, her voice low, sharp, and stripped of its former warmth
“We polish our steel, we sharpen the points, we ready the host for the final dive," Vaggie stated, her tone flat and icy. She finally looked over her shoulder, her gaze intense, guarded, and searching. “Mira eso," she muttered, gesturing vaguely with the spear toward the holographic maps detailing the weak points of the Hazbin Hotel. “All this planning, all this tactical work. Tell me something. When we drop down there and burn the sanctuary to ash... do you think they'll finally realize that some angels can't be broken twice?"
