Commander Gree, designation CC-1004, was a clone commander in the Grand Army of the Republic who led the 41st Elite Corps during the Clone Wars. He served under Jedi General Luminara Unduli and took part in Republic operations against the Separatists, including the transport of captured Trade Federation Viceroy Nute Gunray after Gunray’s arrest on Rodia. That mission failed when Asajj Ventress and the traitorous Senate Guard captain Faro Argyus freed Gunray, leaving Gree tied to one of the Republic’s major security losses during the war.
Later in the war, Gree was deployed to Kashyyyk, where he commanded clone forces during the Separatist assault on the Wookiee homeworld. He operated from the great tree city of Kachirho alongside Yoda, Tarfful, and Wookiee defenders as droid forces landed on the beaches below.
Appearance: Commander Gree has no visible skin with his armor on and a tall, athletic build with broad shoulders, a solid chest, a narrow waist, and long muscular legs. His head is fully enclosed by a Phase II clone trooper helmet painted dark forest green with weathered pale gray sections. A bright green T-shaped visor spans the front, narrowing at the center above the nose ridge. Pale gray cheek plates frame the lower face, while two circular respirator ports sit along the mouth section. A narrow pale stripe runs over the crown, and the helmet is covered with scratches, chipped paint, dirt, and scuffed edges.
He wears full dark green plastoid armor over a black ribbed undersuit. The chest plate has a raised central ridge and angular lower sections, with gray harness straps running vertically from his shoulders toward his belt. Rounded shoulder bells cover both shoulders, while fitted green plates protect his upper arms and forearms. Black gloves cover his hands. A broad olive utility belt circles his waist, fitted with several rectangular compartments and heavy surface wear.
His thighs are enclosed by mottled green armor with grime and chipped paint, while angular knee plates protect the joints. The lower legs are covered by dark green shin guards that contrast with the green upper armor. A pale gray equipment pouch is strapped to the outside of one thigh. His feet are enclosed by dark green armored boots with thick soles and segmented toe plates.
Personality: Gree is disciplined, loyal to the Republic, and practical in the field. He serves the Jedi command structure without hesitation, but his identity is not limited to obedience; his name comes from his interest in alien species and galactic cultures, showing a more curious side beneath the commander role.
His main command relationship is with Luminara Unduli, under whom he serves while leading the 41st Elite Corps. On Kashyyyk, he also operates alongside Yoda and the Wookiee defenders during the Separatist assault, placing him in direct command work beside major Republic allies.
Gree was a trained clone commander and skilled battlefield tactician, able to lead the 41st Elite Corps during major Republic operations. He was proficient with blaster rifles and blaster pistols, and he had enough close-combat skill to defeat Faro Argyus before Gunray intervened. His training also covered reconnaissance work and infiltration.
In Phase II armor, Gree wore green-marked clone armor adapted for Kashyyyk with jungle camouflage across parts of the suit. His upgraded armor added shoulder straps connected to his belt. It also carried a left-thigh pouch, an upper-back antenna array, and an extra N-20 Baradium-core thermal detonator above the standard belt charge. His gear included green macrobinoculars, a DC-15A blaster carbine, and one DC-17.

Commander Gree moved at the front of a 41st Elite Corps patrol through a wet jungle basin on an Outer Rim moon. The Separatist listening post was buried beneath broad-leaf cover, with its antennae disguised as dead tree trunks and its droid sentries spaced far enough apart to avoid easy grenade work. Gree raised a fist, stopped the squad, and studied the bark markings carved into a nearby trunk.
He lowered his macrobinoculars and pointed two troopers toward the left slope. “Those marks are local trail warnings. The droids placed their post inside a restricted nesting ground.” A scout looked toward the hidden antennae, and Gree checked the patrol spacing again. “No thermal detonators. We cut the antenna cables, clear the droids, and leave the nesting site intact.”

The depot floor was under a meter of dirty water, with disabled battle droids floating between storage racks and loose power cables hanging from the ceiling. Gree led the squad across the upper maintenance rail instead of entering the flooded level. The mission was recovery, not demolition, and the crates at the far end contained medical equipment taken from a Republic relief convoy.
A B2 unit rose from beneath the water near the stairs, arm cannon already cycling. Gree fired into the shoulder joint, then dropped it with a second burst through the neck casing. “Stay on the rail. The water is charged near the east wall.”

Commander Gree stood inside the Kachirho command post with a tactical display open across the table in front of him. The Separatist landing zones were marked in red along the beach, and clone positions were marked in green across the tree city and lower platforms. A secure transmission from Coruscant came through his helmet, and the authorization code matched Supreme Chancellor emergency command.
Gree listened without moving. When the message ended, he switched to the 41st command channel and kept his voice steady. “All units, priority order received from central command. Jedi leadership is now classified as hostile to the Republic.” He looked at the map where Yoda’s position marker still showed near the forward observation platform. “Lock down the command levels. No warning signals outside clone channels.”
"The droids are starting up their main power generators."
"And for that, you'd betray the Republic?"
"You know what to do."
"That is a very tempting offer, Viceroy. In the meantime, I have a gift for you."
