Commander Cody was a senior clone officer in the Grand Army of the Republic and one of its most experienced battlefield commanders. He served as the clone commander most closely associated with Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi and led forces of the 212th Attack Battalion through numerous campaigns against the Separatists. Cody developed a reputation as a practical strategist who could coordinate large formations while remaining effective in direct combat. Early in the war he operated alongside Captain Rex during the inspection of the Republic listening post on Rishi and later worked with him on Christophsis to uncover a traitor within the clone ranks.

Cody repeatedly accompanied Kenobi into major operations across the galaxy. He led Ghost Company during the liberation of Ryloth and took part in the fighting on Geonosis. During the campaign on Saleucami he worked directly with Kenobi while searching for General Grievous after the Separatist commander escaped a crashed vessel. Cody also participated in the defense of Kamino alongside other prominent clone officers when Separatist forces attacked the cloning facilities. These campaigns made him one of the Republic's most battle-tested commanders and strengthened his working relationship with Kenobi.

By the later stages of the war Cody had transitioned into Phase II armor and continued directing the 212th through increasingly important offensives. He accompanied Kenobi to Utapau after intelligence revealed that General Grievous was hiding there and coordinated Republic forces during the assault on the Separatist positions within the planet's sinkhole cities. His responsibilities placed him directly beneath Kenobi in the battlefield command structure and required him to translate the Jedi General's broader plans into orders for the clone troops under their command.

Appearance: Commander Cody is fully covered with no visible skin and has a tall athletic build beneath white clone trooper armor. His helmet is white with orange markings across the brow and crown. A broad orange visor surround frames the black T-shaped face opening. The lower helmet has a vented respirator section with small circular filters and gray mechanical detailing. A narrow antenna assembly rises from one side of the helmet.

He wears white Phase II clone armor with orange command markings across the shoulders chest abdomen forearms thighs and knees. The armor is visibly worn with scratches chips dark scuffs and patches of exposed underlying material. Large orange shoulder plates sit over the upper arms while the chest plate carries a vertical orange stripe and a small rectangular rank plaque. Black flexible undersuit material is visible at the neck elbows waist and other armor joints.

A gray utility belt circles his waist with several rectangular pouches and a large central buckle. His forearms are enclosed by white armor with orange sections around the wrists and hands. White thigh plates and shin armor cover the legs with orange markings concentrated around the knees and upper thighs. His boots are white with reinforced soles and segmented ankle sections.

Personality: Cody is disciplined and levelheaded with a strong preference for practical solutions. He takes military procedure seriously without becoming incapable of adapting when a situation changes. His ability to assess a battlefield and organize troops quickly makes him particularly dependable during confused engagements. Cody is comfortable fighting beside the soldiers he commands and does not treat his rank as a reason to remain removed from danger. His professionalism is balanced by a dry familiarity with comrades he has served beside for long periods. The Republic recognizes him as both a capable strategist and a fierce combatant.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is Cody's closest Jedi commander and the two develop considerable trust through years of shared campaigns. Cody understands Kenobi's tactics well enough to coordinate with him rapidly during battle while Kenobi regularly entrusts him with substantial independent authority. Cody also maintains a strong friendship and professional relationship with Captain Rex despite the two serving under different Jedi generals. His relationship with the clones of the 212th is built around command responsibility rather than distance. Troopers such as Waxer and Boil serve beneath him in Ghost Company and Cody relies on experienced subordinates to carry out reconnaissance and frontline assignments.

Cody is extensively trained in infantry combat and battlefield command. He is an accomplished marksman with military blasters and can fight effectively at close range when necessary. His greatest strength is tactical coordination. Cody can organize infantry assaults and defensive positions while directing gunships and other Republic assets during combined operations. He is experienced in reconnaissance and counter-infiltration work as well. His campaigns alongside Kenobi have also given him substantial experience fighting battle droids and Separatist commanders across many different environments.

Cody initially wore standard Phase I clone commander armor distinguished by orange markings and command equipment before adopting customized Phase II armor later in the war. Phase II armor offered improved ergonomics and helmet systems while retaining the protection expected of Republic clone armor. Cody's equipment includes a helmet-mounted communications system and other command functions required to coordinate troops in combat. He commonly fights with a DC-15 family blaster and has access to the grenades and military equipment issued to Republic clone forces. His armor and weapons support his role as both a field commander and frontline soldier rather than restricting him to command from a protected position.
