Commander Bly

Commander Bly, designation CC-5052, was a first-generation clone trained on Kamino and later inducted into the ARC program before becoming a clone marshal commander. After the First Battle of Geonosis, he was assigned as Aayla Secura’s second-in-command in the 327th Star Corps, serving with her across the Clone Wars and building a reputation as a dependable field commander. The 327th was used as a mobile force sent wherever Republic command needed them, and Bly led its troops through campaigns including Honoghr and New Holstice before later operations with Secura.

Bly later fought with Secura during the mission to Escander, where Republic intelligence led them into a Separatist trap connected to Count Dooku’s scientists. He was also caught in the Battle of Quell, survived the retreat to Maridun, and helped defend the Lurmen village against Lok Durd’s forces until Republic extraction arrived. In the final months of the Clone Wars, Bly and the 327th were sent to Felucia under Secura’s command to track Shu Mai and stop the Commerce Guild from poisoning the planet’s water supply.

Appearance: Commander Bly has no visible skin with his armor on and a tall, athletic build with broad shoulders, a solid chest, a narrow waist, and long muscular legs. His head is fully enclosed by a white Phase II clone trooper helmet marked with worn mustard-yellow accents. A narrow black T-shaped visor spans the front beneath a projecting visor brim that extends over the brow. A vertical yellow stripe runs down the center of the helmet, while matching yellow panels cover the sides. Numerous scratches, chipped paint, and scuffed edges are visible across the helmet and armor.

He wears full white plastoid armor over a black ribbed undersuit. The chest plate is reinforced with angular layered panels, while rounded shoulder bells protect both shoulders. A dark brown pauldron drapes over his right shoulder, extending across the upper chest and back. Yellow markings cover much of his forearms, thighs, and lower legs. White gauntlets protect his forearms and wrists, and black gloves enclose his hands. A broad white utility belt circles his waist, fitted with multiple tan rectangular pouches. A white holster hangs from one side of the belt, while additional equipment is secured along the opposite side.

A long tan kama hangs from his belt, falling along one side of his legs with a dark inner lining visible beneath it. White thigh armor, angular knee plates, and long white shin guards protect his lower body, all heavily worn with scratches and chipped paint exposing darker material beneath. His armored boots are white with yellow bands crossing the fronts near the ankles and matching weathered scuffs across the toe caps.

Personality: Bly is disciplined, cautious, and mission-first. Aayla Secura is his central relationship. He serves as her second-in-command in the 327th Star Corps, and their partnership is built on long battlefield trust. Aayla holds him in high regard because he is dependable under pressure, while Bly respects her as the Jedi General whose judgment guides his corps through repeated campaigns. Their bond is close for a Jedi and clone commander, but Bly still expresses it through duty, protection, and command loyalty rather than open sentiment.

Quinlan Vos matters because he is Aayla’s former Master, not because Bly simply works near him. Bly is wary of Vos because Quinlan’s secrecy and unstable reputation create risks around Aayla, and Bly does not automatically trust him just because Aayla does. Alpha-17 is important to Bly’s past because he helped shape him through ARC training and gave him the name Bly. Lieutenant Galle, Barr, and Inc serve under him in the 327th, making him part of Bly’s direct command structure. The 327th Star Corps is Bly’s command family, and Aayla remains the Jedi most tied to his identity as a commander.

In Phase II, Bly wore yellow-marked clone armor with helmet-mounted macrobinoculars. He kept a kama and an ARC-style pauldron as part of his commander kit. His hip holsters carried DC-17 hand blasters, and he also used DC-15A blaster weapons during Republic operations.

Bly was ARC-trained and served as a clone marshal commander, making him more specialized than a standard clone officer. His skills covered battlefield command and front-line coordination with the 327th Star Corps. He was also skilled with blaster combat, mobile assault tactics, and operating under Aayla Secura during extended campaigns.
