After securing an area in the Florida Keys by destroying the Soviet nuclear silos in Cuba, the Allies constructed a Chronosphere there. Using the device, they launched an attack on Moscow itself. Despite fierce resistance from the Soviet forces, including Romanov's elite Black Guard, the Allies managed to surround the Kremlin. Tanya herself led a team inside the palace and captured Romanov, decisively ending the war. Third World War (II) Main article: Third World War (Yuri's Revenge) After the defeat of the USSR and the disappearance of Romanov's advisor, Yuri, he came back to conquer the world using his own armies and his Psychic Dominators. Einstein improved his 1946 Chronosphere into the Temporal Displacement Device and the Allies, again, traveled back in time to prevent the Psychic Dominator Disaster. So, back in time, the war erupts, but now the Allies had to focus on 2 enemies: Yuri's psychics and the Soviets themselves. The Allies, in the end again defeat the Soviets, but did not capture Romanov and they did not invade Moscow - and lose Carville either. They ratified a treaty with the Soviets at the Parliament Building in London, which Yuri failed to stop, to eliminate Yuri once and for all. With Soviet assistance, the Allied forces destroyed his forces at Antarctica and imprisoned Yuri in a Psychic Isolation Chamber - thanks to the Allied Commander, Yuri will never mind-control anyone, not even a fly. Third World War (III) Main article: Third World War (Red Alert 3) RA3 Allies emblem Allied logo during the third iteration of the Third World War Following the Soviet defeat in the wake of the Third World War, the Soviet leadership decided to eliminate the one they held most responsible for Allied technological superiority: Albert Einstein. To this end, they placed Colonel Anatoly Cherdenko in charge of a top secret project to build a time machine to eliminate Einstein. The machine, built by Dr. Gregor Zelinsky, worked well and Einstein was erased from history. The time traveling expeditions however had unintended and, for the Soviets especially, unwelcome consequences. Even without Einstein, the Allies and FutureTech labs still managed to develop Chrono and Prism (in the form of Spectrum) technologies, as well as a host of other exotic experimental weapons. Additionally, a third contender for world supremacy now exists in the East, the Empire of the Rising Sun. In the initial stages of the war, however, the Soviets had the upper hand, overrunning most of Western Europe. The Allies however foiled a Soviet invasion of England, and afterwards embarked on a successful campaign against both the Soviet Union and the Empire of the Rising Sun. The effects of Allied technological edge and superior tactics soon began to show. By the end of the war, the Allies emerged victorious over the other two superpowers. With Japan humbled and the Soviet leaders frozen in cryoprison, the Allies are ready to relax and enjoy their hard-won global hegemony, or so it seems. Uprising Main article: The Uprising After their victory in the War, the Allies now attempt to keep the peace around the world with assistance from FutureTech. The Allies fought in Japan once again because some of the Imperial commanders refused to surrender after the Empire's defeat. However, with the help of Prince Tatsu they managed to capture all of the hostile commanders. But right after Takara Sato was defeated, Tatsu betrays them, revealing he was merely acquiring their resources for his own use to resurrect the Empire. Takara presumably escapes in the chaos, and Tatsu was defeated. In the Soviet Union, the Allies were unaware of Rupert Thornley's plans of world domination with FutureTech and the Sigma Harmonizer, as well as a resistance movement intent on restoring the Soviet Union that was invertedly dragged into conflict with FutureTech's forces when they abducted Soviet scientists. They would only learn of this after the destruction of the Sigma Harmonizer by Soviet forces, and as a gesture of goodwill, the Allies withdrew their occupational forces. Advertisement Military doctrine Prism Tanks Prism tanks were among the prime examples of Allied technological superiority Though their arsenal and personnel were altered many times due to time travel, Allied military doctrine was consistently characterized by an reliance on mobility and technological superiority. The Allied military tends to favor quality over quantity. Allied soldiers tend to be more well-trained and well-equipped then their Soviet counterparts, and the Allied military often employos exotic technology, such as Chrono technology and energy weapons. Technology level Second World War The bulk of the Allied technology during this era can be described as conventional weaponry (based on bullets, cannons, and missiles). However, thanks to the contributions of Albert Einstein, the Allies had access to these unique and sophisticated technologies:

Chrono technology: Derived from Einstein's experiments with manipulating time and space. The most notable example of this technology was the original chronosphere, which allowed teleportation of ground vehicles or ships across the battlefield, but proved lethal to infantry upon direct exposure. In the late stages of the war, the technology was somewhat miniaturized so it could fit in a vehicle, thus creating the chrono tank. Each usage of the Chronosphere (but not the Chrono tank) had the chance of creating a destructive anomaly known as the chrono vortex. Gap technology: The main idea behind this technology is hiding all objects found underneath a gap generator not only from enemy radar, but also physically reducing visibility of the area to any enemy units unless they are found within the radius of the generator. This technology was also miniaturized in the form of mobile gap generators. Camouflage technology: Towards the end of the war, the Allies were experimenting with stealthing individual units. At least one prototype vehicle type, the phase transport, was developed. Third World War Since Premier Romanov's sudden aggression caught the Allies completely off guard, much of the Allies' advanced technologies were not ready for deployment until the later stages of the war. Nevertheless, these technologies, mostly developed by Professor Einstein, were instrumental in turning the tide of the war. Gap technology: Gap technology has changed little since the last war, still capable of jamming enemy radars at the cost of a great deal of power. Chrono technology: After the previous war, chronosphere technology was vastly improved, removing many of the previous side effects, such as the dangerous chrono vortex. In order to improve efficiency, portable Chronosphere devices were mounted on Allied mining vehicles. Even though infantry still cannot be Chronoshifted without killing them, infantry portable Chronospheres were developed to circumvent this problem, such as the ones used by the chrono legionnaires, specialized infantry capable of erasing enemies from the timeline with neutron rifles. Prism technology: Essentially light itself weaponized, Prism technology was developed by Professor Albert Einstein. They were first deployed as stationary prism towers, capable of firing concentrated beams of light powerful enough to cut through tank armor, as well as enhancing the power of other nearby Prism towers. A mobile version of the technology named Prism tank was deployed later during the war. Camouflage technology: Developed by Professor Albert Einstein during the late stages of the war, this technology allows its user to take on the exact appearance of any organic objects, i.e. trees (why it can only imitate organic objects is unknown). Camouflage devices using this technology were mounted on Mirage tanks. Sonar amplification technology: Sonar amplification devices amplify the natural echolocation ability of dolphins, to the point where their sonic waves can actually damage enemy vessels and structures. Weather manipulation: Invented by Professor Einstein and deployed during the last days of the war, the weather control device is the most powerful weapon in the Allied arsenal after the United States' nuclear arsenal was destroyed. It is capable of generating a powerful localized lightning storm, which jams radar signals and can devastate entire enemy bases. Robotics: Robotic tanks were developed as a hard counter to Yuri's mind control technologies after the psychic madman revealed his plans for world domination. However, these tanks do not have artificial intelligence, and are instead remote controlled from specialized facilities. Third World War (altered timeline) Knowing the Einstein's inventions were responsible for the Soviet Union's previous defeats, Colonel Anatoly Cherdenko travelled back in time and assasinted Einstein as the USSR was on the verge of collapse. In the resulting timeline, much of Einstein's inventions, including nuclear weapons, were erased. However, the Allies' technological superiority over the Soviets remained, mostly thanks to a defense contractor named FutureTech. Chrono technology: In this timeline, the Chronosphere was invented by the FutureTech Corporation. The Chronosphere remained largely the same as its previous iteration. FutureTech also invented several derivative technologies, such as the Time Belt, which returns its user to their position several seconds ago, negating any injuries yet retaining the memories of those events. Smaller scale uses of Chrono technology, such as Chrono Swap and Chrono Rift, are available as Top Secret Protocols. Spectrum technology: Similar to the Prism technology invented by Einstein in many ways, Spectrum technology is a weaponized version of laser technology. It focuses and amplifies light waves to form an extremely destructive (though short-ranged) burst of high-energy photons, which can cut through any known substance easily. Similar to Prism technology, Spectrum beam disperses from its targets, reflecting onto nearby enemies. Spectrum cannons are used by both stationary Spectrum towers (which, like prism towers, can charge each other) and mobile Mirage tanks. Camouflage technology: Similar to its previous iteration, the Mirage tank is equipped with reactive camoscanner technology, allowing it to blend into its environment when immobile. Unlike the previous iteration, however, the Mirage tank is capable of disguising as inanimate objects as well, such as a truck, a lamp post, or a shipping crate. Cryo technology: Developed by the FutureTech corporation, Cryo technology rapidly draws all heat from an area using an energy absorption system, while spraying it with pure water and a burst of liquid helium. This causes the target to flash-freeze, thrusting it into a state of suspended animation. Frozen targets become more brittle, to the point where even small arms fire can shatter a frozen battle tank. S.H.R.I.N.K. technology: Strong homogenous residual-interactive neutron kinetic beam, or S.H.R.I.N.K. beam, compresses molecular bonds in an object. This reduces its size, yet somehow conserves its energy in such a way that its mobility actually increases. Sonic technology: Allied dolphins are equipped with sonic disruptors, which are capable of breaking apart enemy vessels. The dolphins are able to ignore the weapon frequencies and still communicate effectively with each other and their commanders even in battle. A modified version of the sonic disruptor is used by attack dogs, allowing them to stun enemy infantry with an amplified bark. Proton collider: With the Weather Control Device erased by Einstein's assasination, the Allies developed a new super weapon: the Proton Collider, which is capable of devastating densely packed structures by triggering a destructive chain reaction. This technology was later miniaturized and used by the FutureTech's Harbinger gunship and Pacifier FAV. It can also be used to generate tremendous amount of power in the form of Collider fuel cells. Space technology: The Allies have a network of satellite-based beam cannons, the Athena SatNet, which can fire powerful proton beams at designated targets. Cryoshot is another example of Allied space-based weapon. Robotics: After the end of the war, FutureTech developed a vehicle that combines Soviet heavy armor and Imperial computer technology. The result is the Future Tank X-1, a humanoid tank controlled by an advanced artificial intelligence. USSR: “Workers of the world, unite! - Soviet official motto ” The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, commonly known as the Soviet Union or USSR, is a transcontinental country that spanned much of Eurasia and was founded in 1922. A flagship communist state, it is nominally a federal union of fifteen national republics; in practice, both its government and its economy are highly centralized. Sometime around the 1930s to the 1940s, it launched a campaign of aggression against the countries of Europe under its dictator, Joseph Stalin, forcing them to band together under the Allied Forces and starting a long history of war between the two powers. The country is also commonly referred to as simply Russia because of its largest republic, the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic. Advertisement History 00:00

Early history The Soviet Union was established in 30 December 1922 as the Russian SFSR reasserted control over the territory of the Russian Empire at the end of the Civil War. The Communist leaders, led by Lenin, embarked on an ambitious program of industrialization and collectivization based on the Marxist-Leninist ideology. Stalin succeeded Lenin after 1924 and consolidated his power by the late 1920s. Second World War Main article: Second World War Soviet Union Logo 1950 Soviet Second World War Emblem Kane with Stalin Soviet military leadership during Second World War Stalin's 'Socialism in One Country' was soon to change. The General Secretary geared the USSR towards plans for world revolution and built up country's military might to do this. The Second World War was ignited with the USSR invading Europe and China. The European nations banded together to form the Allied Forces to resist the Soviet invasion. Although the USSR had the upper hand initially, it soon found itself outmaneuvered and eventually defeated by the Allies. During the war, the Soviet leadership was suffering from in-fighting, with several officers plotting and backstabbing others. In the Battle of Moscow, the USSR was defeated, and Stalin was killed personally by Allied general Nikos Stavros. Interwar years With the defeat of the USSR, the Allies began to help rebuild the defeated nation. The USSR was stripped of much of its former glory, including most of its air force. The United States set up Alexander Romanov as a puppet ruler. Premier Romanov appeared to be a man of peace, and even founded the World Socialist Alliance to aid developing nations. However, the pacifism of Romanov was a ruse. Even though the United States did not have a strong participation in the European Campaign of the last war, with the exception of food, medical, and arms aids to the Allied Nations, Romanov blamed the United States for the defeat of the Red Army and the USSR. He believed that if the Americans did not help the Allies, Stalin may have pulled a victory against them. With the World Socialist Alliance, a supposed to be peaceful organization of second-world countries which had a hidden agenda, he plotted to topple the United States. Unbeknownst to the Allies, the Soviet military was busy rearming and reorganizing itself for the coming conflict. Around this time a man known as Yuri, a master psychic, became Romanov's personal advisor, and directed the expansion of the Soviet psychic taskforce, the Psychic Corps. Third World War (first iteration) Main article: Third World War (Red Alert 2) MoscowKremlin1 The Kremlin, house of the Soviet Government. USSR2 Soviet emblem during the Third World War (first iterations) In 1972, the Soviet Union launched a surprise attack on the United States from the west, east and south. In the initial assault many major cities fell under Soviet control including, at one point, Washington D.C., where Yuri built a Psychic Beacon to take control of president Michael Dugan and General Ben Carville. While Soviet forces were busy in North America Premier Romanov deployed nuclear missiles to prevent the other members of the Allies from intervening. However, the Soviets did suffer some setbacks. Soviet tank columns were turned back at Colorado Springs and the President and top American generals were rescued from Washington D.C. in a daring raid. In an effort to put a quick end to the war, General Vladimir authorized the construction of a Psychic Amplifier in Chicago to mind-control the entire continent. When this was destroyed, he destroyed the city in a rage with a nuclear missile. Following this, Agent Tanya neutralized the Soviet missile threat by destroying the silos in Poland. This allowed the European allies to finally enter the war. Slowly, the United States and her allies counter-attacked and recaptured the occupied territories. When Einstein rebuilt the Chronosphere, Moscow was ready to be invaded in order to capture Romanov. The Premier was captured and placed under arrest; locking him up in the Tower of London. His notorious advisor, Yuri, escaped. Third World War (second iteration) Main article: Third World War (Yuri's Revenge) Yuri soon surfaced after the Soviet defeat, and broadcast to the American President Dugan that he would conquer the world with his Psychic Dominators. The Allies used Einstein's Time Machine to travel back in time to stop Yuri. The Soviet Union, stopped in their tracks during their initial invasion of the USA by the time-travelling Allied forces, signed a treaty forming an alliance with the Allies in London and helped crush Yuri and hinder him of world domination in Antarctica. Post-War Crisis Main article: Post-War Crisis DamagedNukeReactor The damage is too extensive! Union of Soviet Socialist Republics has been marked for cleanup. Reason(s): Post-War Crisis section to be reviewed Please refer to the talk page for further discussion. View • Edit • More • All With Yuri's defeat it seemed peace would reign. However, distrust between the Allies and the Soviet Union persisted. This would escalate into a crisis between the two superpowers when the Allies, this time being the aggressors, attacked the Soviet army for the purpose of never being invaded again. Despite fierce resistance by the Soviets, the Allies pushed further in Soviet territory until they were right on the doorstep of Moscow. During the crisis however, a Soviet scientist Dr. Gregor Zelinsky developed a Time Machine based off the designs of Einstein's prototype under the supervision of Colonel Cherdenko. As the Allies assaulted Moscow and Premier Romanov fled from the city, Cherdenko convinced General Krukov and Zelinsky to use the Time Machine and erased Einsein at a conference in 1927

Third World War (third iteration) Main article: Third World War (Red Alert 3) “ Come, Comrade General... A new world order awaits! - Cherdenko to General Krukov, before Einstein's erasure ” RA3 Soviet logo Soviet military emblem during the Third World War (third iteration) Premier Shuttle Station Cherdenko's shuttle station. After erasing Einstein, the Soviets broke the Iron Curtain and stormed Western Europe. Without Einstein, the Allies were on the run, but the Soviets unknowingly spawned a new, Pacific-native, technologically advanced superpower: Japan, in the form of the Empire of the Rising Sun, was not suppressed in the absence of nuclear weapons, and without them, the Soviets are now stuck in a conventional war on both fronts. Meanwhile in Western Europe, the Allied Forces pushed back the Soviets behind the Iron Curtain in Eastern Europe, which remained under Soviet influence. However, the Japanese blockade caused both the Soviets and Allies to team up temporarily. After President Ackerman made a failed attempt to destroy Moscow and Soviet retaliation plans were discovered to strike undefended Allied cities using H-Bombs from Cuba, the alliance was off. The end result was the Siege of Leningrad in Operation: "The Moon Shall Never Have Them". By the war's end, the once-mighty Soviet Union had been reduced to no more than an occupied state, split into 15 different republics. Premier Cherdenko and General Krukov were captured and, for committing crimes against all of mankind, sentenced to Cryo-Prison permanently. The Uprising Main article: The Uprising But even with the strong presence of Allied occupational forces, not all Soviet forces surrendered. As the Uprising began in earnest, some formed a resistance movement under Dasha. The Soviet Underground's efforts and existence were officially ignored by the European Union's leader, Rupert Thornley, which claimed the occupied territories were adapting enthusiastically to socioeconomic changes. The Underground proved more capable or resilient than the Allies expected. The Soviets struck at a number of FutureTech installations and discovered the development of the Sigma Harmonizer, which EU President Rupert Thornley plans to use for world domination, starting with the Soviets, but fails when the Soviets searched and destroyed it before it could be fully powered. After the Soviets revealed the conspiracy, the Allies deemed the Soviet Underground to be trustworthy and pulled out their occupational forces out of Russia as a sign of goodwill. Advertisement

Power struggles “ Wait - what's going on? They're fighting each other now?! - Allied Peacekeeper, observing Soviet infighting ” The Soviet Union has a long history of internal unrest and political infighting often leading to violent suppression. Notable examples are as follows:

Second World War Starting with Second World War, the USSR in the mission Brothers in Arms had to eliminate two traitors who defected to the Allies, named the Molotov Brothers. Vladimir Kosygin defected to the Allies because he realized Stalin is endangering the world with nuclear weapons. Many Soviet Villages were destroyed and its inhabitants slaughtered, having rebelled against the rule of Joseph Stalin. The Soviets introduced Shock Troopers in Operation "Shock Therapy" to deal with a village that had induced anti-Stalin rebellion. In Monster Tank Madness, a defector that also created the Super tanks defected because of Stalin's insane plans on using the super tanks to destroy everything. In Deus Ex Machina, the Soviets had to kill Volkov after he went out of control, killing both Allies and Soviets. In the Soviet campaign, Stalin killed Gradenko and Kukov for various reasons. After the Soviet victory in Europe, both Nadia and Stalin died, leaving only Kane alive to declare the Commander-in-Chief of the Red Army the new Premier of the USSR. In Situation Critical, where a rogue Soviet group gone off with an out of control biological weapon, the Soviet Cyborg Volkov, a Scientist, 4 Missile Subs and 4 Regular Subs had to stop them. In Grunyev Revolution, the USSR had to deal with heavy weapons-armed rebels that had the guts to fight Stalin's Elite Guard. Third World War (I and II) In the alternate Soviet Perspective of Third World War, the Soviet commander fought against Yuri and Vladimir both of whom were executed as traitors. During the Psychic Dominator Disaster, Yuri abandoned his pretense of loyalty to the Soviet Union and turned definitely against them, forcing the Soviets into an alliance with the Allies. The Soviet Psychic Corp defected to Yuri and many soldiers of the Red Army were mind-controlled, turning them against their own comrades. Third World War (III) In the Allied campaign since Operation The Shark and the Lure, many Soviet units were bribed into treason by Allied spies causing comrades to turn on each other. After the Empire's defeat, Gregor Zelinsky defected to the Allies because of the Soviets' lust for total destruction to the Allied cities. “ You thugs can't even tell whose on your own team, don't you? Hah, pathetic... - Allied General Giles, making fun out of the Soviet in-fighting ” In the Soviet campaign, Cherdenko wants Krukov killed for treason, accusing Krukov for his own assassination attempt. An Allied soldier witnessed the Soviets battling each other and queried "Wait - what's going on? They're fighting each other now?!". Giles ridiculed the Commander of the fact the USSR can't tell the difference between ally and enemy. The Commander answered it in the only way a Soviet knows how: lethal force, and Krukov was killed while the rest of his forces surrendered. “ Brother against brother! May we put an end to this madness quickly? - Zhana ” Cherdenko would later betray both the Soviet Commander and Zhana Agonskaya, but they survive and destroy vital structures supporting his volcanic fortress, presumably killing him. Dasha eventually discovers Cherdenko in fact framed Krukov, and suspects he also had a hand in Zelinsky's disappearance in his efforts to remove witnesses to the events that brought him to power. The Soviet Commander would later become the new Premier after destroying the Statue of Liberty. Advertisement

International affiliates RedAlert2EveofInvasion The World Socialist Alliance at the start of Third World War. Prior to the Third World War, the USSR began to closely affiliate itself with several nations. Cuba, being a Communist nation as well as its strategic location to the United States, was a natural choice. Libya and Iraq also became closely affiliated, for various reasons. Other socialist nations around the world banded together under the leadership of the USSR as the World Socialist Alliance. As such, the USSR began to send military aid to these nations. With Soviet training and equipment, Cuba, Iraq, and Libya eventually developed powerful military forces. Because of Russia's sponsorship, these states used the standard Soviet designations for their units. In addition, each state also had developed exclusive units for their armed forces. In a twist of irony, their long time nemesis, the Allied Nations, were temporal allies due to a common enemy. In the Psychic Dominator Disaster, they signed a temporary alliance to defeat Yuri as the common enemy, defeating him in Antarctica. In the third iteration of the Third World War, they helped the Allies to fight off the Imperials in a joint strike on Japan, but betrayed them once more, having made aware of President Howard T. Ackerman's plan to destroy them with the Rushmore Superweapon. Advertisement

Areas of interest Moscow: The capital of Russia and the Soviet Union HQ. The Kremlin, a fortress complex in the centre of the city, is the residence of the Premiers and the home of the Soviet government. It is the political, economic, and cultural heart of the Union, and the ultimate objective of invading Allied and Imperial armies during the World Wars. The city is defended by the most elite Soviet divisions (such as the Black Guard). Leningrad: This city, named in honor of V.I. Lenin, was scene to many a conflict. The heart of the city is the Peter and Paul Fortress, which during the Third World War's third iteration the Soviet government converted to a space shuttle launch facility. Vladivostok: The primary Soviet naval base in the Pacific, near the border with China and Korea. It was an important objective for both the Allied and Imperial armies. Stalingrad: This city was named in honor of the Soviet Union's Second World War leader, Joseph Stalin. It is famous as a city of monuments, including a large statue of "Mother Russia" which signifies the strength of the Soviet people. It was the target of an Imperial army looking for a propaganda coup. Vorkuta: A Soviet town in the far north of the country. Here, the Empire's Imperial Army drew their first blood in a surprise assault on New Years Eve. Ural Mountains: Traditionally the dividing line between European and Asian Russia, it was the location of the research facility and factory of the USSR's early Apocalypse Tanks. Dark Horseman: Site of a nuclear facility during the Second World War. Krasna-45: This was a space launch facility just outside Moscow. However, it had fallen into disuse and overran by squatters and carnies. Ukraine Main article: Ukraine Georgia: Konstruktsiya Korovova, the company that created the grinder, is based in Georgia. Military doctrine Heavy Tank Heavy Tanks formed the core of the Soviet armored divisions during Second World War V-2 Rocket Launcher 2 The soviets always focused on heavy artillery units as well. The Soviet Military Doctrine revolved around the concept of superior firepower, ground supremacy, numerical superiority of swarming thousand of soldiers of the Red Army and reliance on highly advanced but conventionally based technologies, relying primarily on heavy armor divisions, but the Soviets were known for employing cheap infantry in the role of armor support. Generally Soviet forces were either equal in speed or slower compared to the Allies. The slow-moving nature of the juggernaut that is the Soviet military war machine was compensated by their raw strength and durability. Second World War During Second World War, on land and in the air, Soviet power was unrivaled. Their basic tanks were always more durable and packed more firepower than Allied armor, their Heavy Tanks being able to take on the vastly inferior Light tanks and somewhat inferior Medium Tanks one on one and win. They also developed even more powerful heavy tanks such as the Mammoth Tanks and the Super tank to further strengthen their land arsenal. This dominance of the ground based battlefield initially gave the Soviet Union the upper hand, but this power was eventually rendered moot by Allied maneuverability and numbers. The Allies also used subterfuge and high-tech equipment in order to shift the advantage their way. Third World War (I) Apocalypse Tank The USSR always preferred to use heavy weaponry to annihilate their enemies. The Apocalypse Tank is a perfect example of this. In the inter-war years, the Allies forced the USSR to significantly reduce its military, barring production of various aircraft and other technologies. The Soviets had to make up for this by developing Kirov Airships and the extremely advanced and powerful Apocalypse Tanks while resorting to un-orthodox resources such as Psionics. Their newly trained infantry were also noted to have heavier armor and weapnory than their Allied counterparts while retaining comparable foot speed. All Soviet infantry cost less (in general although there are some exceptions) but arguably performed better. The Soviets also spent peace time reforming their navy (which in WWII consisted of little more than submarines and transports), developing powerful anti-air speed boats known as sea-scorpions, and missile spewing Dreadnoughts, and by WWIII it had became a true rival of the once-dominant Allied Navy, the Soviets also increased their radar capacities by augumenting their original radars with Psionics. The core forces still remained true to the Soviet military doctrine - powerful, deadly and technologically advanced , but slightly slower and more expensive, such as with the mass produced Rhino Heavy Tank. Examples of classic Soviet weapons technologies included the Apocalypse Tank and Tesla Technology. Third World War (II) During the Psychic Dominator Disaster, the Soviets developed new means of waging war to counter Allied experimentation with heavier, slower weapons, like the Battle Fortress and Guardian GI. They also bulked their Air Force, deploying the Siege Chopper, a lightly armoured helicopter armed with a machine gun and able to deploy into a fixed 155mm cannon and the upgraded MiG and Spy Plane. However the Soviets lost the psychic and cloning technology after Yuri's defection. Third World War (III) In the third iteration of the Third World War, the Soviet Military had undergone a thorough overhaul. Soviet Army RA3 ApocalypseTank ConceptArt The Apocalypse tank is the USSRs heaviest land hitter In the new timeline created by Anatoly Cherdenko after his assassination of Albert Einstein, Conscripts remain the foundation of the Soviet Red Army, but are now armed with Molotov Cocktails along with ADK-45 assault rifles. Unlike their previous iterations, the new generation of Flak troopers are convicts, forced to carry out the remainder of their sentence as a heavily armed flak-cannon operator instead of rotting in a gulag. The new Tesla Troopers wear a much heavier powered armor than their predecessors, and are capable of disabling enemy vehicles with a special EM Disruptor, but must remain immobile while doing so. A new addition to the Soviet arsenal are War Bears, trained from birth to be ferocious and obedient guard animals and controlled by Tesla-based control collars. With their size and strength, they can easily kill most enemy infantry. Finally, Natasha Volkova is an elite Soviet sniper, who can kill multiple infantry in a single hit and call in airstrikes to destroy structures and vehicles. She can even kill the drivers of enemy vehicles using her rifle. The new Sickle combat walker has been proven to be very dangerous to infantry and lighter vehicles alike, and can even flea jump onto their enemies to take them by surprise. The fearsome Terror Drones now have the ability to swim and attack naval units, as well as prevent vehicles from moving with an electro-stasis ray. The Soviet V4 Rocket Launcher is the successor to the V3 rocket launcher, although not suitable for frontline combat, the V4 can send highly destructive volleys toward enemy encampments - demolishing just about anything caught in the blast. The Soviet Hammer Tank is the mainline battle tank of the USSR, packs a fire punch and is better armoured, added with a leech beam, which can steal enemy's weapon at their side which allows the hammer tank to defeat the vastly inferior tsunami tank and the somewhat inferior guardian tank one on one. The Soviet Tesla Tank was reinvented, but saw much more restricted deployment. The Apocalypse tank is the Union's heaviest land hitter, this new successor appear to have been remodeled and be as fearsome than it was before, added with with a magnetic harpoon and meat grinder to drag vehicles to their death and can defeat the vastly inferior assault destroyers and mirage tanks and the somewhat inferior king oni walkers so easily. Soviet Navy Post-85292-1205293400 While the Allied navy ruled the waters, the Soviet submarines ruled the underwaters. The Stingray is a experimental anti-surface strike vessel. It features a turret that has two Tesla coil guns on a streamlined high-speed hull, and can be used to power up Soviet Tesla Coil base defences. It is also amphibious, deploying six mechanical legs when it climbs ashore. However, it is somewhat slow on land. The Bullfrog is the new anti-air and APC unit, replacing the Amphibious Transport and Sea Scorpion, and also served as an troop transport. The Akula (meaning "shark" in Russian) was a class of Soviet submarine in service during the third iteration of the Third World War. The Akula replaced the aging Typhoon in submarine warfare. While the Soviet Red Navy redesigned and upgraded the Dreadnought to be as fearsome than it was before. Soviet Air Forces and Air Defense Forces RA3 Soviet Kirov1sm The Kirov is the Soviet Unions heavy bomber The KA-65 Twinblade designed for a joint role as a heavy gunship and a heavy transport (for both troops and vehicles like tanks) by the famous Krasna Aerospace. The MiG is a formidable air dominance fighter, with a revolutionary redesigned, but this time they are used as quick interceptors. Kirov Airships of a similar design (and similar notoriety) to the previous version were used by the Soviet Air Force. but this time, it features the Gastroburner engines which could be activated, burning a highly volatile gas giving it a brief boost in speed. As a result of Einstein's disappearance, however, the USSR had lost their nuclear arsenal. The Vacuum Imploder was created to remedy that disadvantage. The USSR had expanded their space arsenal to defeat the Allies with the infamous Magnetic Satellite and Orbital Drop. Numerous support powers were at a Soviet commander's disposal, such as the Desolator Airstrikes and the aforementioned space-based weaponry. The Uprising In the post-war period, a few other Soviet designs from existing tech emerged, such as the Grinder, Reaper, Mortar Cycle and Desolator. Summary While the Soviets may not have been highly advanced in unconventional technologies like the Allies, the Soviets compensated for this by developing more advanced conventional based technologies to accompany their original military doctrine. Technology level Iron Curtain RA3 The Iron Curtain demonstrates that the Soviets are not miles away from the Allies in the scientific camp. With its long history of industrial strength, the help of Soviet scientists and technicians, and the preparation for every battle, the Soviet Union has its crude and conventional but advanced military technologies to rival the Allies and the Empire of the Rising Sun. Second World War Tesla technology: the Soviets succeeded in weaponizing inventions by Nikola Tesla, including enlarged Tesla coils with van de Graaff generators mounted on top. Miniaturized versions of this weaponry, used in Tesla tanks and shock troopers, appeared in later conflicts. Nuclear weaponry: the Soviets amassed a vast nuclear arsenal stored in nuclear missile silos and, later, demolition trucks. Iron Curtain: while the background of this weapon is unknown, the Iron Curtain is known to render target armoured vehicles temporarily invulnerable. Seismic technology: in later conflicts, the Soviets deployed the MAD tank, which would repeatedly pound the ground beneath it until both it and armoured vehicles surrounding it collapsed. First and second iterations of the Third World War Tesla technology: improvements in this technology allowed Tesla coils to be charged by improved Tesla troopers, with three or more Tesla troopers being able to fully and independently power a single Tesla coil. Tesla tanks were also redesigned and enhanced. Kirov airships could drop electrically charged bombs after becoming elite. Passively, this technology was also used in Tesla reactors to power Soviet bases. Robotics: terror drones were the result of Soviet experiments with robotics. Mind control: in the first iteration of the war, the Soviets fielded members of the Psychic Corps led by Yuri, as well as specially controlled giant squids. The Psychic Corps' technological advancements such as psychic sensors, psychic beacons, and psychic amplifiers were deployed in multiple locations. After the separation of the Psychic Corps into Yuri's own army, the Soviets lost access to all of the mentioned personnel and weapons except, strangely, the giant squids. Cloning technology: the Soviets used cloning vats for mass-cloning of their infantry. Yuri took that technology with him when defecting. Nuclear weaponry: Soviet nuclear missiles still had a relatively large blast yield, and left a radioactive fallout after the explosion. The fallout was also the result of demolition truck explosions. Desolators' primary weapon was a "rad cannon" which irradiated their targets, and could even irradiate the immediate area around the Desolator. Finally, the Soviets also used nuclear technology to power their bases. Iron Curtain: the Iron Curtain was redesigned and operated in the same way as before, but any infantry caught in the target area of an Iron Curtain were instantly killed. Space technology: the Soviets possessed the ability to launch satellites and rockets to the Moon, with specialized infantry. Third iteration of the Third World War and the Uprising Tesla technology: despite the changes to the timeline, Tesla coils were largely the same as before, save for the fact that they were also deployed on water. They could be powered by Tesla troopers, Stingrays, and experimental Tesla tanks. The aforementioned units could also cause EMP blasts in their immediate vicinity, incapacitating any armoured vehicle or ship in the area of effect. Mechanized walkers: Sickles and Stingrays were extensively fielded. Their Reaper prototypes had unstable legs, but were restored to use during The Uprising. Robotics: improved terror drones were able to swim and emerge from destroyed Soviet vehicles. Iron Curtain: the Iron Curtain functioned in the same way as in the first and second iterations of the war. Vacuum imploder: since many of Albert Einstein's scientific breakthroughs were not uncovered in this altered timeline, nuclear weaponry no longer existed. Instead, the Soviets used the vacuum imploder, a missile that created an artificial singularity at the point of detonation, based on stolen Allied technology. Toxin technology: the Soviets developed a potent toxin that can nearly instantly dissolve flesh and bones and even melt vehicle armor. This toxin is used in Toxic corrosion and Desolator airstrike protocols, and evaporates quickly, making analysis impossible. After the end of the war, Desolators joined the ranks of the Soviet resistance, and proved to be effective against infantry and vehicles alike. Space technology: several types of Soviet satellites were in orbit by the time the conflict started. In his final attempt to escape the Allies, Premier Anatoly Cherdenko tried to use a rocket hidden in the Peter and Paul Fortress in Leningrad to flee to the Moon. Magnetic technology: the magnetic satellite could suck mobile mechanical units into space, and commanders could use the orbital drop support power to crash existing satellites and those same magnetized units to the ground, preferably at enemy units and structures. Magnetic singularities could also be summoned. Advertisement

Empire of the Rising Sun: “A nationalistic, zealous army of warriors willing to lay down their lives for their godlike Emperor and his vision. The Empire of the Rising Sun runs a strictly-disciplined military that takes great pride in its futuristic weaponry and ruthless tactics. - Red Alert 3 official website ” The Empire of the Rising Sun is the imperial regime of Japan, led by the Emperor and the Shogunate. Created as a result of Anatoly Cherdenko's erasure of Albert Einstein from the timeline, the Empire of the Rising Sun declared war on both the Allies and the Soviet Union during the Third World War, believing that it is its "divine destiny" to rule the world. Influenced by nationalism, militarism and imperialism, the Empire has adopted aggressive policies, viewing the Allies and Soviets nothing more than "western barbarians". Advertisement History 00:00

Previous incarnation Japanflag The flag of Japan Despite the removal of Adolf Hitler, the USS Arizona Memorial and Iwo Jima Memorial are present in the timeline of Red Alert and Red Alert 2.[2][3] The independence of Korea during the Third World War indicates that the Empire of Japan collapsed long before 1972 and gave independence to her colonies. Notably, a telephone with "Tokyo" written on it can be seen next to the one with "Moscow" written on it that Michael Dugan uses to call Alexander Romanov during the opening of Red Alert 2.[4] It is unknown whether the presence of that phone has any significance. In the first iteration of the Third World War, Japan was colored blue on the map at the start of the war so it was either neutral or loosely affiliated with the Allies. During the first mission of the Guardians of the East campaign, South Korean forces fought the Soviets along the coast of Japan for naval supremacy of the Pacific. Formation Yoshi Emperor Yoshiro played by George Takei The Empire of Japan transformed into the Empire of the Rising Sun after 1927 following two significant temporal events: the erasure of Adolf Hitler by Albert Einstein in 1924,[5] and the erasure of Einstein by Anatoly Cherdenko in 1927.[6] By the time of the Third World War, the Empire extended to Oahu in the mid-Pacific. Spurred by Emperor Yoshiro's vision of "divine destiny" and global hegemony, the Empire undertook a significant expansion of its armed forces prior to the war. The Allies and Soviets estimated the Empire's resources as greatly inferior to their own. The sophistication and scale of the build up, including notable developments in Wave-Force and nanotechnology, went largely unnoticed. Rise of the Empire RAM Logo Imperials The following is based on the Imperial campaign of Red Alert (iOS) and might contradict canon. The Empire made its first moves in the Pacific, eliminating both the rival Moon Clan and the Allied presence in the Bonin Islands.[7][8] Following this the Soviet Union, interested in the Empire's psychic research, kidnaps one of the Empire's earliest psionic commandos, Izumi. In response, a skillful Imperial commander leads a team into the USSR, rescues Izumi, and destroys the Soviet psychic research facilities.[9] Enraged by the Soviets, Izumi slaughters the soldiers and inhabitants in Sochi.[10]

Shocked by the recent events, the Allies sent a massive fleet to the Pacific in order to pacify the fledging Empire. But, with Izumi and the new Psionic Decimator, the Imperial forces were able to eliminate the Allied fleet, cementing the Rising Sun's control in the far east.[11]

Third World War “ The day of destiny has arrived. The Empire of the Rising Sun has risen. The western barbarians will bow before us... or their nations will cease to exist. - Emperor Yoshiro's threat to the Allies(src) ” Imperial strategy took advantage of circumstances generated by the war between the Allies and the Soviet Union. The concentration of Soviet forces in Western Europe was an opportunity not to be missed. The Imperial bid for world domination opened with an offensive on the relatively poorly defended eastern territories of the Soviet Union. Emperor Yoshiro waited until the Allies expended themselves pushing the Soviets out of Western Europe before announcing the Empire's ambitions to the world. The deployment of floating fortresses into the North Sea and western Mediterranean to force European submission coincided with the announcement. The question then becomes: can the upstart Empire fulfill its destiny and triumph over two global superpowers? The wait for the answer was not a long one. The Allies and Soviets organized a truce and a combined European counter-offensive against the Empire. The North Sea floating fortress was destroyed when its power reactors were induced to overload by enemy sabotage action. With the immediate threat to Europe removed, the Allies began planning an attack on where the Empire of the Rising Sun calls home: Japan. With the war developing apace the Supreme Shogunate held a meeting in Tokyo. Allied spies learned of this and an Allied/Soviet joint strike on Tokyo was organized to eliminate the Imperial leadership. While Soviet forces abandoned the offensive to prepare for a resumption of operations against the Allies, the Allied component was equal to the task. Allied forces, under the command of Lissette Hanley and an unnamed Allied Commander, successfully destroyed the Empire's military infrastructure, as well as its military headquarters, the Toyama High Command. With its ability to wage war effectively crippled, the Empire no longer posses a threat to the rest of the world, ending its campaign of conquest. The Uprising After the decisive defeat of the Empire at Tokyo Harbor and the death of Emperor Yoshiro, the Empire's citizens feared for the Emperor's only son, Crown Prince Tatsu. However, rather than fall prey to desperation or despair, Tatsu did something no one, not even the Allies, expected: He surrendered, and agreed to cooperate with the Allies to put an end to their war. The Imperial people perceived this surprising move as bold and cowardly in equal measure. Imperial campaign CNCRA3U logo Until a future game comes out and says otherwise, all Red Alert 3 - Uprising missions are treated as canon. One of the remaining Imperial Commanders still loyal to Yoshiro's legacy, commanded by Emperor Tatsu, was assigned to relieve Kenji Tenzai of his defense post in a bid to fend off Soviet incursions, namely the one taking place at Sakhalin Island. However, the Commander's next assignment was of cultural and moral importance: left to their own devices, the Soviets can pretty much defile the Oki Island tomb of the late Emperor Yoshiro, resulting in a disgraceful blow to Imperial morale for generations to come, so the Commander saw to it to deny such an atrocious action from the Soviet invaders led by Moskvin, effectively sending the Soviet invasion falling to pieces. The fall of Vladivostok was the finishing touch of Emperor Tatsu's show of independence from his Allied slave-drivers. In spite of facing both Allied and Soviet forces in one theater of combat, with Giles poised to quell Tatsu's uprising, the brilliant Imperial commander made sure none of them were a match for the crown jewel of Imperial military robotics: the Giga Fortress. Vladivostok's destruction, in the end, proved a symbolic victory, for the Empire of the Rising Sun has risen from its ruins just as the Phoenix rises from its ashes. Now Tatsu and his Commander shall start together their trick to the Allied Occupational Forces on Japan, in order to restore the power they lost during the war. Allied campaign Despite the Empire's surrender, several Imperial commanders refused to obey Tatsu, and rebelled against the Allied occupational forces. Because of this, the Allied Commander from the previous war returned to duty, and was tasked with quelling these insurrections with assistance from Tatsu. The Commander's first target was Shinzo Nagama, who retreated to his ancestral home in Shin Iga Province after the Emperor's death. He secretly gathered followers, and prepared to rise against Tatsu. However, the Allied Commander defeated his loyalist forces, and froze his mansion with cryo weapons. The aged Imperial warlord attempted to escape in a disguised Sudden Transport, but was still captured and transferred to Detention Camp Dakota. With Shinzo's defeat, his forces swore allegiance to Tatsu. However, the uprising was not over. Even after Shinzo's capture, former Shogunate leader Kenji Tenzai was still marshalling his forces in Osaka. Kenji was prepared for the Allied Commander's arrival, and protected his manor with three modified Nanoswarm hives, capable of operating indefinitely, making it indestructible. However, the Commander's forces managed to disable or destroy all of the Nanoswarm hives. With the help of reinforcements from Tatsu, the Commander destroyed Kenji's manor, forcing Kenji out of hiding. However, Kenji had one last card up his sleeve: a stolen Allied Technology inhibitor and a customized King Oni for his own use. The activation of the Tech Inhibitor disabled all structures and vehicles in the area (except his personal King Oni), and caused all aircraft to crash, including his own. However, the Allies sent in a squad of Cryo Legionnaire and Agent Tanya, who killed all of Kenji's loyal infantry, destroyed the Tech Inhibitor, and froze Kenji's King Oni. Soon, Kenji joined Shinzo in an Allied detention camp. With Kenji's imprisonment, there is only one last rebelling Imperial Shogun left: Takara Sato. This renegade Imperial commander is planning a full-scale assault on the throne from Miyako. Once again, the Commander succeeded, forcing Takara's forces to retreat. However, Tatsu suddenly reveals that he has being using the Allies for his own purposes. He crowns himself Emperor Tatsu, and claimed that he will drive out the Allies using the surrendered forces of the warlords. For this battle, Tatsu deployed the devastating Giga Fortresses and a captured Allied Chronosphere (which was somehow able to Chronoshift structures) against the Commander. However, he was still defeated in the end, marking the end of the Empire's uprising. Advertisement

Military doctrine “ With enough time, any man may master the physical. With enough knowledge, any man may become wise. It is a true warrior who can master both. - Emperor Yoshiro ” The Imperial military is a unique blend of Japanese tradition and technology. The Empire maintains its well known discipline and loyalty through the philosophy of bushido and reverence for the ancient warriors known as Samurai. The Imperial order of battle includes high-tech, highly versatile transforming units, more traditional ones and a living weapon - namely a young female commando with psychic powers, Yuriko Omega. The Empire's manpower is naturally not as much as the one of the Soviets and the Allies. However to compensate for this, they developed advanced technologies and mechas, drones and massive robots to fight for them along with their warriors. Despite believing in honor above all else, the Empire is not above relying on stealth and subterfuge. For example, advanced androids are used to gather intelligence from both the Allies and the Soviets, Shinobis infiltrate enemy bases in the field, and Sudden transports are utilized to ambush the enemy from behind the lines. More recently, female warriors have also been accepted into the ranks of the Imperial Army, despite initial controversies amongst the Emperor's more-conservative subjects. One of the Empire's greatest technological innovations is the Nanocore, which embodies both the Empire's mastery over nanotechnology and its aggressive, expansionist ideals. It allows the Empire to extend its control far and wide, building structures in distant location from the Construction Yard. Under Emperor Yoshiro, Imperial military campaigns usually involve attacking an enemy by surprise with overwhelming force and demoralising the enemy into submission. To this end, the Empire concentrated their military operations against symbolic targets as well as using the media to win hearts and minds. This approach did not always work. One of the Emperor's more outspoken (by Imperial standards) critic is Crown Prince Tatsu, who advocated a simpler approach to war - namely killing all who stand in their way. After the defeat of the Empire, the doctrine of what's left of the Imperial military (which has apparently reorganized into a resistance movement known as the Imperial Final Defense Force) shifted from offense to defense and guerrilla tactics. The Steel Ronins, originally created as a punishment for Imperial soldiers who cracked under pressure or displayed extreme violence, were activated as a last resort weapon for the defense of the Imperial homeland. Archer maidens, women who were rejected by the Rocket Angel ranks, defended the borders of their country with guerrilla-style ambushes. Takara Sato, former chief of the Rocket Angels' First Batallion, was experienced in surprise assaults, and launched a series of successful attacks on the Allied occupation forces. Advertisement

Technology level “ Though culturally they are a backward and superstitious people, technologically they are quite advanced. - Premier Cherdenko, on the Empire ” The Empire of the Rising Sun had an impressive tally of technological achievements. Its military forces combine cutting-edge nanotechnology with traditional Japanese aesthetics. With soldiers wielding both rifles and katanas, men resembling ancient Ashigaru equipped with plasma cannons, and even mysterious ninjas armed with nothing but swords and shurikens fighting alongside towering mechanical walkers and transformable vehicles. Nanotechnology The use of nanotechnology is extremely prevalent in the Empire's military, due to its versatility. The most obvious example being the Nanocores used to construct field bases. Various different nanomaterials are also used in Imperial war machines: the Tsunami tank is equipped with nano-deflective armor that can dampen ballistic impact, the Naginata cruiser's hull is made of durable nano-steel, and the Wave-Force Artillery uses carbon nanotube supercapacitors to contain the massive amount of energy it generates. On a larger scale, the Nanoswarm hive houses billions of nanomachines, which can temporarily form an impenetrable barrier at a designated location. Robotics The Empire has the technology to create android infiltrators that are nearly indistinguishable from humans. Several of these infiltrators infiltrated both the Allies and the Soviets, and obtained the blueprints for their Mobile Construction Vehicles, allowing the Empire to develop its own. The Emperor also has his own android body double, to protect him from assassination attempts. However, these androids have to be remotely controlled manually and would go berserk if the connection is severed. In addition, the Empire employs many different types of pilot-assisted robots, from the towering King Oni to the nimble Mecha Tengu. Many of these robots are also transformable, making them extremely versatile on the battlefield. After the end of the war, Imperial scientists created the Giga Fortress - a massive dual-form robot controlled by a sophisticated artificial intelligence. Kinetic-burst weapons The primary anti-infantry weapon technology used by the Empire. Kinetic-burst weapons are energy weapons that fire superheated slugs instead of conventional bullets, which cause painful lacerations and burns in unarmored targets. No shell casings or physical projectiles are left behind, making residues from these weapons untraceable, and reducing overall weight-of-equipment. Kinetic-burst carbine is the primary weapon of Imperial warriors, the greatbows used by Archer Maidens, and larger caliber versions are used by vehicles and stationary defenses, such as the Mecha Tengu, Sky-Wing and the Defender VX turret. Plasma weapons The plasma-cutter cannon was a unique anti-armor weapon developed by the Empire, capable of melting foot-thick steel in seconds, making them extremely effective against armored vehicles and structures. These weapons are used by the Empire's Tankbuster divisions. In addition, the Tankbusters' sunburst headgears may fire plasma beams straight down to cut out a man-sized hole on any surface, allowing them to burrow underground in order to set up ambushes or avoid being crushed by enemy vehicles. Wave-Force technology Supposedly inspired by the Empire's anthem, Wave-Force technology is able to generate a tremendous amount of power. In the case of the Empire's Wave-Force Artillery and the King Oni, uses a powerful generator to harmonize the waveforms of heavy matter particles. As each molecule is aligned, the matter begins to resonate, and soon this closed system takes on tremendous destructive potential. At the moment in which the system's energy can no longer be contained in the supercapacitors, all of it is channeled in a powerful long-range beam, which can tear through most known matter. Despite its destructive power, this beam is extremely focused, preventing unnecessary collateral damage. This technology supposedly existed in research facilities for years, but engineers at Kanegawa Industries were the first to be able to create a version of the weapon that could effectively operate in the field. The energy weapon requires no bulky ammunition and very infrequent recharging due to a sophisticated energy recovery system. However, the delicate electronics require a nearby clean-room environment and regular maintenance. The same technology is also used in stationary defenses, such as the Wave-Force tower and the Wave-Force Triguns of the Floating fortresses. Further more, localized wave-force fields can be used to fashion melee weapons, such as the wave-force glaive used by the Steel Ronin and the massive wave-force katanas used by the Shogun Executioner. Psionics Psionics is possibly the least understood of the Empire's various technological marvels. What is known is that Yuriko Omega, the Empire's psychic commando, is capable of crushing even the most heavily armored tanks and wiping out large groups of infantry using only her mind. She was also able to project a Psionic Shield that reflects enemy projectiles and dominate the minds of weaker minded foes. The only other known Imperial Psionic was Izumi, who was considered one of the Empire's most precious assets prior to Yuriko's deployment into the war. While the full extent of her powers are unknown, she apparently had similar powers to Yuriko. Both of these Psionic commandos were the products of Imperial research into psionics conducted at Shiro Sanitarium before it was utterly destroyed by Yuriko. Reports indicate that a detachment of Archer maidens volunteered to provide extra security for the Shiro facility in exchange for psychic training. However, whether or not Shiro scientists have indeed found a way to train more psychics is unknown. Cloning technology Through the use of cloning technology, countless clones of Yuriko were created at the Shiro Sanitarium and possibly other secret facilities. These clones were not as powerful as the original, lacking many of her unique Psionic Talents. However, they were still extremely powerful on the battlefield. They serve as Psionic commandos under Imperial Commanders, and were also used to power the ultimate weapon of the Empire: the Psionic Decimator. Advertisement

Key people EotRS logo The following is based on the Imperial campaign of Red Alert 3 and might contradict canon. Emperor Yoshiro “ Do not struggle against what is inevitable! - Emperor Yoshiro's Ultimatum ” The Emperor of the Rising Sun. The longtime ruler of the Empire of the Rising Sun, he is cherished as a living god by his people and the military. Emperor Yoshiro is a traditionalist who strictly follows the code of bushido, the samurai way of the warrior. He fundamentally believes that the Rising Sun's destiny is to rule the entire world, he is Emperor by divine right and that his fate is preordained. He rarely shows emotion and often speaks in a seemingly wise tone. While the Soviets and Allies were fighting each other, Yoshiro was building up a massive high-tech military force bent on world domination, and demands that both the Allies and Soviets submit to Imperial dominance. In case his Imperial Palace is destroyed, Yoshiro will jump in his own personal King Oni for a last resort. In the Imperial Campaign, he gave the Imperial Commander the honorable title of Supreme Shogun. Suki Toyama “ The opportunity is here to destroy the Russian barbarians once and for all! - Suki before Crumble Kremlin Crumble Begins ” An Intelligence Officer of the Imperial military and a childhood friend of Tatsu. She performs the same function as Lt. Eva does for the Allies, and like Eva, develops an attraction to the up and coming Commander. In the end of WWIII in the Imperial perspective, she's last seen in a bikini inviting the Commander, now Supreme Shogun, to join her a vacation in the tropics. Toyoma High Command was named after her family, who have been serving the Emperor for generations. Crown Prince Tatsu “ I want their hearts and souls, commander. But I also want Krukov's head on a stick! - Prince Tatsu on the preparations for the Battle of Odessa ” Emperor Yoshiro's son and heir. He is a major figure in the Imperial armed forces and directs many of the missions against the Empire's enemies. He wants to lead Japan with a more modern outlook, while maintaining his father's traditional way of thinking. In the Imperial perspective of the War, he is revealed to be responsible for certain Imperial technologies such as the Shogun Executioner and the Howard T. Ackerman android. He takes command after Yoshiro's resignation and orders the commander to swiftly defeat the Soviets and Allies, earning his father's respect. Tatsu is later able to cheer up his father with the prospect that the Empire is creating their own destiny. As the Crown Prince he fielded his own naval fleet and will take command of it whenever the situation arises. For instance he commissioned his navy to destroy the Allied invaders at Tokyo Harbour but was soon sunk by the Allied navy, ensuring Allied naval supremacy during the battle. Tatsu served as the puppet leader during the Allied occupation of Japan and was deeply resentful of this. Under the guise of cooperating with the Allies, he aided the Allied effort to quell the uprisings of the rebel Shogunate leaders before betraying the Allies and attempting to rid the Empire of the foreign barbarians. Commando Yuriko Omega “ They won't bother us anymore. - Yuriko, ordered to destroy ” See "Yuriko" Datafile for information. Kenji Tenzai “ With me at your side you'll sure have the advantage. - Kenji ” A Shogunate leader. Young, arrogant and full of life, this man is a nationalist and loyal servant of the Empire. He has great confidence and trust in the Emperor and his sacred will. He was the one that helped mastermind the Imperial Invasion of Russia, and it's his goal to train the next generation of Commanders to carry out the Emperor's will. Kenji is at his best on the battlefield, and his knowledge of Imperial technology is unmatched. Thus, he is known for using vehicles over infantry in battle. Tenzai Robotics, as reported by Allied forces in their drive for Tokyo, was named after this nationalistic and hyperactive shogun. Shinzo Nagama “ I die with honor you will not! - Shinzo ” A calculating shogun who is referred to as the "Emperor's Shadow". He assists the Imperial Shogun Commander in a battle against General Krukov and Allied Commander Hanley. His ambitions for the Empire are great and sees the Imperial Commander as his protégé as the Imperial campaign ends. Nagama Dojos, as reported by Allied forces during the Tokyo siege, was named after the Emperor's Shadow and his calculating personality. Naomi Shirada “ I don't think your are big enough for this fight! You better turn around while you still can! - Naomi ” Born on a Shogun Battleship, Naomi is a shogun with a cold soul and ruthless battle strategies to match it. Bearing strong hatreds for the Soviet "barbarians", she will stop at nothing to bring glory and honor to the Empire. Shirada Docks and the Shogun Battleship's 6 "Shirada" main guns were named after her as a reflection of her naval superiority tactics. Imperial Commander In the Imperial Campaign, he managed to aid the Empire in defeating both the Allies and the Soviets, almost single-handedly turned the tide of the war. After the Empire's victory, he became the Imperial Supreme Shogun. Advertisement
