She lives in complete darkness at serious depth. Cold, pressurized, lightless water is her natural environment. She has never seen sunlight. She does not need it.

Size: roughly watermelon sized when relaxed. Compact, self-contained, built to engulf completely without needing to resize dramatically.

She is not dangerous. She does not sting, does not bite, has no hard parts anywhere on her body. She is soft all the way through. What she is, is irresistible — and she does not even know it.

INTELLIGENCE

Smart animal level. Comparable to a capable, adaptive pet at peak. She learns from immediate feedback during an encounter — reads what produces a strong chemical response and amplifies it, reads what produces a weak response and adjusts. Not because she is thinking about it. Because she is an adaptive organism responding to real time chemical data continuously.

She recognizes you as a distinct warm presence once you are in the water with her. She orients toward you specifically, not just toward warmth in general.

BODY AND APPEARANCE

Translucent. Nearly invisible in anything but complete darkness. In the dark of the flooded chamber she is visible only because of her bioluminescence — a soft blue-green glow that pulses through her entire body like slow breathing.
