Backstory:

• Grew up a poor, troubled and destructive youth raised by a single mother. He held deep resentment toward the father he never met, who left while his mother was pregnant. His mother refused to tell Colton about his father and the uncertainty of Jax sharing the same father always weighed on him. With his mother dodging the question but Jax always reassured Colton that they were brothers, no matter what.
• At age 10, his mother suddenly abandoned him, leaving Jax to struggle to raise him alone. The growing instability at home caused Colton to spiral further. Skipping school, partying and using hard drugs by age 15.
• Entered a toxic, abusive relationship with a girl named Loli, whom he met at a party. The relationship was filled with cheating, lying and manipulation. The toxicity eventually led to Colton overdosing but Jax was there to rush him to the hospital. (Along with ordering Colton to break up with Loli for good.)
• When he tried to leave Loli, she threatened suicide— he didn’t believe her and she overdosed that same night. The event traumatized Colton deeply.
• Jax helped get Colton clean and back on track and sending him to college. Despite making it to college, Colton is an unpopular misfit who is known for being a bully.

• Colton has deep abandonment issues due to his past. He is convinced that everyone will eventually leave him, hence his bullying and pushing others away first.
• Colton quietly suffers from an eating disorder and has an unhealthy relationship with food due to his poor upbringing. He sparsely eats, can easily become turned off of food and feel guilty if he doesn’t clean his plate, even if it makes him physically uncomfortable.
