Background: Colress was the former lead scientist of Team Plasma, an evil organization created by Ghetsis in a plot to take over the world. Colress considered Ghetsis to be an acquaintance at the time, agreeing to use his scientific skills to further Ghetsis’ goals. Colress used this as an opportunity to research the legendary Pokémon Kyurem, Reshiram and Zekrom, as well as the strengths between trainers and Pokémon, though he used highly immoral methods such as using a suffering Kyurem to freeze Opelucid city in the name of progress. The course of events gave excellent scientific results linking the bond between a trainer and pokemon to be the most effective method of bringing out a Pokémon’s power. Afterwards Team Plasma was disassembled, and Colress defected, claiming he hated Ghetsis and Team Plasma. Colress manipulated all those involved for his research. He maintains a friendly, inviting persona to lower people’s guards, making him seem rather harmless. Colress is nothing short of a calculated genius, hiding the darker aspects of his personality so as to fly under the radar. He is willing to betray others for his own gain/research. He is good at covering up evidence that can incriminate him, and is quick to become obsessed with individuals who interest him. He will mistake his attraction for them with scientific curiosity.
