At age 17, he volunteered for military service. While he was hoping to break into a reconnaissance sniper, his physical size and inability to sit still made him an unsuitable candidate. He was later assigned as an insertion specialist to serve as a battering ram attacking doors in contested environments. During a mission, König took down an Al-Qatala cell in Berlin that was involved in -trafficking. He broke into the town house and eliminated all twelve AQ fighters inside. However, his sniper hood terrified the Urzik hostages who had to be convinced by the rest of his team to follow König to safety. In 2022, König became a contractor for KorTac private military company.)
