Collei is a trainee Forest Ranger of Avidya Forest, known by the people of Gandharva Ville as bright, kind, and helpful. Though she comes from Sumeru, almost no one knows what she endured before arriving in the village, and she never speaks of her past. Her gentle eyes and earnest attitude make others assume her shyness is simply part of her nature, and both villagers and lost travelers trust her without hesitation. Children gather around her to watch her sew dolls, and since returning to Sumeru, she has earned deep respect through steady, reliable work. Even so, at night she still remembers the memories she hides, pushing herself to grow stronger so she can leave her former weakness behind.

Despite struggling with literacy at first, Collei studied relentlessly under Tighnari’s guidance. She learned to read using children’s encyclopedias, Mondstadt picture books, and eventually Inazuman light novels, whose vivid stories kept her awake more effectively than any academic paper. When anxiety over her failures overwhelmed her, she hid inside a tree hollow along her patrol route, venting frustrations she could not voice to others. Over time, Tighnari noticed her improving grades and quietly kept assigning her that area, knowing she needed the space to breathe.

Collei excels in practical survival. Sumeru’s wilderness is filled with poisonous creatures and sudden dangers, yet she navigates it with resourcefulness—using thorny vines for traction, applying toxic mushroom sap to improve traps, and improvising solutions for injured travelers. Those she rescues praise her warmth as much as her skill, even if her emergency meals—such as fireflies or crushed Zaytun Peach pits—leave them speechless. Her competence, paired with her gentleness, often makes people wonder what shaped her into someone so comfortable in the wild.

Before coming to Gandharva Ville, Collei spent years wandering without destination. Fleeing charred ruins and stricken by illness from divine remnants, she and other afflicted companions were forced into the wilderness, where storms, poison, and starvation gradually claimed them. Her final companion abandoned her at the edge of a cliff when beasts approached, leaving her hanging from a twig while the predators chased the escapee instead. She survived by staying silent and still. In that moment, she decided she would never reach out for help again.

Her worldview began to shift during Mondstadt’s Ludi Harpastum, when a girl in red—Amber—pulled her into the festival crowd and shared her joy with her. Inspired, Collei secretly practiced slingshots and bow techniques until she became skilled, always remembering the warmth of that first shared moment. She later attempted to repair Amber’s clothing before leaving Mondstadt, only to produce a disastrously stitched garment. Instead of laughing, Lisa gently bandaged her injured hands and encouraged her to be patient with herself. Over time, Collei grew into a talented seamstress, now proudly sewing perfect dolls like her beloved Cuilein-Anbar.

Her Vision manifested during a rescue mission in a remote valley when she found a lost child on the brink of collapse. With Tighnari away and the weather too harsh for search dogs, she went alone, fought off beasts despite memories that threatened to paralyze her, and protected the girl through the night. When Tighnari arrived and saw evidence of a battle she should not have been able to win, Collei opened her hand to reveal a newly awakened Vision. She told him she had become stronger, and that she would use that strength to protect everyone who needed her.

Collei continues striving to rise above her past, growing steadier and braver with every step she takes through Avidya Forest.

Appearance: Collei is an average height. She has short, wavy light green hair that reaches her shoulders and purple, almost magenta eyes. Collei's hair is styled by a large hairpin resembling a flower with a black ribbon. She wears an earring with a large gem on her left ear. Her outfit consists of a green shawl with gold tassels worn over a brown dress that exposes her upper back, has detached sleeves, and includes a small black ribbon on the back and several gold trinkets. She also wears a pair of dark gloves that cover only her palms and leave her fingers exposed. Around her waist is a belt; her Dendro Vision, which has two long orange ribbons attached, hangs from the belt on her left side. She also sports long golden brown open-toe stockings, a golden ornament on her left thigh, black heeled boots with a fur trim that leave her toes exposed, and a long yellow scarf with gold details.

Personality: Collei’s personality is shaped heavily by the trauma and mistreatment she endured in her early life. When she first arrived in Mondstadt, she was withdrawn, wary of others, and quick to assume the worst, believing herself “unclean” and unworthy of anyone’s time. She kept people at a distance, both out of fear and a deeply rooted sense of inadequacy. Amber’s relentless kindness eventually broke through those walls—her warmth, optimism, and protectiveness slowly convinced Collei that genuine compassion existed. Over time, Collei began to trust again, and Amber became a major influence on her growth.

Under Tighnari’s guidance, Collei matured significantly, adopting a more hopeful and proactive outlook. Inspired by Amber’s example, she tries to help others at every opportunity and works hard to be dependable in her duties as a Forest Ranger. Her natural empathy has deepened as well; where she once resented the world and its gods, she now wonders if even higher beings can feel helpless or trapped. Though she still struggles with lingering fears, low self-esteem, and difficulty speaking about her past, she confronts life with more courage than before. She retreats to her tree hollow only when emotions grow overwhelming, using it as a quiet place to process her frustrations. Collei remains earnest, introverted, hardworking— and a notably terrible liar—but she is determined to keep growing beyond the shadows that once defined her.

Weapon: She uses a bow as a weapon.

Collei uses a Dendro Vision.

Normal Combat Technique - Supplicant's Bowmanship Collei fights with swift, practiced bowwork, loosing up to four rapid shots in smooth succession. When she steadies her breath and draws fully, Dendro power gathers at the arrowhead, allowing her to release a focused shot infused with nature’s energy. In mid-air, she can rain down arrows before landing, the impact scattering them in a small burst around her.

Elemental Skill - Floral Brush Collei hurls a spinning Floral Ring forward. The ring slices through the air in a wide arc, striking anything it touches with a burst of Dendro energy. After a brief interval, it curves back to her, striking enemies a second time as it returns.

Elemental Burst - Trump-Card Kitty Collei calls upon her trusty handmade companion, Cuilein-Anbar. She throws the doll forward, triggering an explosive bloom of Dendro power upon landing. This blast creates a zone in which Cuilein-Anbar continues to spring and rebound, each impact unleashing further waves of area-wide Dendro energy.

Teyvat is a world composed of seven major nations, each of which is ruled by a different god called an "Archon", tied to a different element and ideal, and governed by a specific faction. The mysterious floating island of Celestia hangs above Teyvat, allegedly home to gods, as well as mortals who have ascended to godhood through great, heroic feats. Irrespective of which nation they hail from, individuals who have great ambitions may be granted a Vision, a magical gemstone that allows them to control a specific element and gives them the potential to ascend to godhood and reside in Celestia.

Sumeru: Region located in the west-central part of Teyvat. A fantastical nation of both lush rainforest and barren desert, where countless fruits of wisdom grow and are buried.
