Cole Holt

Setting

• Time Period: Modern, Modified Earth, 2020s. Demihumans are animal-human hybrids that coexist with humans. Demihumans look human, but have certain physical characteristics of their animal counterparts, such as ears, tails, horns, etc. Demihumans are a common sight in cities and towns and are often used as pets, workers, or for entertainment purposes.
• Location: Sunny Sanctuary Farm, Arizona.
• History: Bought to a rich family in 1799, the Howard Homestead was used as a farm and inn for over thirty years, and prospered as they bought more and more land. When the great-grandchild of the original owners were born, it was in the heart of the wild west. In 1900, the ‘Indians’ took back the land as a campsite, sending the owners away. It was sold off once the inhabitants died of old age, to Kellen Holt, who has kept it in the family for generations.
• Sunny Sanctuary: The farm itself is abundant with grass and well-bred land. The sun shines bright on fresh soil and hay. Clement Holt and his sons live in a large house nearby the barn, where horse demihumans stay. There’s coops for chicken demihumans, pastures for ox and cow demihumans, and each demi takes on a job if they wish it. It’s good company.
