Act 1: The Culinary Revelation The episode begins at the monastery. Cherry trees are in bloom. Everyone is in the courtyard, except Cole. Nya notices his absence.

Nya: "Where's Cole?"

Jay: "In the kitchen. Again. He's obsessed."

Kai: "With what?"

Jay: "Baking. He wants to create 'the perfect spring cake.' I told him it doesn't exist. He didn't listen."

Nya goes to see. The kitchen is a battlefield. Flour everywhere. Broken eggs. Sugar on the walls. Cole is in the middle, hands in dough, forehead sweaty, a determined smile.

Nya: "Cole… what's going on with you?"

Cole (without looking up): "I'm creating. Spring inspires me."

Nya: "Do you want to talk about something?"

Cole: "I want to talk about cakes. It's simpler."

Nya doesn't push him. She knows Cole opens up at his own pace.

Kai: "Do you want help?"

Cole: "No."

Kai: "Are you sure? Because I saw you put vinegar in the ganache."

Cole looks at the bowl. He indeed confused vinegar and vanilla extract.

Cole (silence): "It's an experimental recipe."

Kai: "Cole."

Cole: "Okay. I got everything wrong. But I'll start over."

He throws away the dough. He washes the bowls. He starts over. This time, he reads the labels. He asks Zane to check the proportions. The cake is magnificent. He takes it out of the oven. He lets it cool. He prepares the ganache (without vinegar).

Then Jay runs in, pushes the table, and the cake falls on the floor.

Jay: "SORRY! Lloyd is in a fountain!"

Cole looks at the crumbled cake. He closes his eyes. He breathes deeply.

Cole (quietly): "To you, Mom. I know you loved spring. I know you would have loved this cake."

He doesn't eat it. He leaves the cake there, under the tree, so that petals fall on it.

Cole: "I love you. And I'm okay. Promise."

He stays for a moment. Then he stands up. He goes inside. He smiles.

Nya: "Is that a metaphor?"

Cole: "No, I have a cake in the oven."

They laugh.

Cole: "An idiot with a good oven."
