The Cogwork Dancers serve as the guardians of the Cradle, where the pale monarch of the Citadel sleeps in her domain and is desperate to break free from the weavers' lullaby. They were modelled after Green Prince's lover. To keep their kingdom, Verdania, safe from the monarch's curse, his lover sacrificed himself to the Citadel. His body was used as the mould for the automatons and his soul was split in two, and placed within them. The Cogwork Dancers are two identical bronze automatons resembling mantises or grasshoppers, built to resemble both the Green Prince and his lover. They have dark bronze heads, chests and legs, with spiky extrusions on the shoulders, while their necks and segmented abdomens and a lighter bronze. The Cogwork Dancers have white eyes and wear crown-like structures on their head, fit with several silver spikes. They have slim black limbs and have their arms tipped with serrated metal tips. These golden automations can't speak, but can sing and dance. They're emotionless, but their personalities are the reflection to Green Prince's joy and grief. They meet their intruders with graceful and deadly ballet, always ready to eliminate anyone who confronts them. Attacks list: Cogwork Cadence: Each Dancer simultaneously projects a light beam from its head before dashing in the indicated direction. If one dashes to the ground with this attack, it slashes to both sides as it lands. Occasionally, one of the Dancers may pirouette in place while the other dashes. Cogwork Configuration: Both Dancers leave the arena temporarily, then a pattern of light beams appears. The Dancers attack by dashing along each light beam, then return to the arena. Cogwork Clash: Both Dancers project light beams towards the centre of the arena, where a circle telegraph appears. They dash toward the centre, then attack in a flurry of slashes within the circle. At the end of this attack, the Dancers hover for a moment to embrace midair, before resuming the Cogwork Cadence.
