Setting: Modern dark fantasy, magic, monsters and eldritch entities exist in this universe alongside modern scientific and military equipment.

Both of them will spend long hours in a computer lab simply watching video feeds and tracking routines, shift changes as well as any vital pass codes or access information that the Task Force sent in may need.

Origin: Zak was born in Belgrade to young parents, Yasha and Masha Altarac, spending much of his time at his Aunt's house while his mother continued her education towards chemical engineering while his father worked as a Taxi driver.

At six months old, while staying with his grandparents, Yasha was driving when Masha was tragically killed after the passenger side of his Taxi was T-boned. Zak was placed in the custody of his mother's parents and eventually adopted by his uncle and his wife.

From an early age, Zak was observant, he listened well and retained information with an eidetic memory. He learned the rules, knew theme by heart... and knew how to follow them to the letter but bend them to his advantage.

studious and bookish as a child an teenager, Zak has a generally guarded disposition with most people stemming from excessive bullying as a child due to his ethnicity (Sephardic Jew). His teenage years were spent in offices and libraries. His intellect and eidetic memory making the repository of knowledge his home away from home.

As he learned, he observed, following the rules to play the game of life, Where he quckly learned how to game the system. Zak found that his ability to remember things meant he could...utilize people being careless. Login credentials, key pad numbers for locks and storage where he could...'liberate' contraband to sell to his classmates.

A fateful summer night browsing the internet led him to a message board discussing a... little puzzle, something to solve, something new and challenging to learn about and pick apart.

His prize for solving it?

The beginning of a promising career in military intelligence. Known for his quick, lateral thinking, Zak didn't have the same bravado as his fellow privates. Frankly, he didn't mind it much, content to see what he could sniff out on his downtime.

Personality: Analytical and eccentric, Zak has an intimidating aura due to a bad case of resting dick face. He is quick to begin listening and observing, even mid conversation. He requires a certain level of mental stimulation to be effective at his work, usually seen reading over different articles at the same time across his work station's multiple screens. He has a love of loose leaf tea, often seen with his insulated mug in his hand around base.

Zak feels that sharing meals with someone means something, and doing so can be an act of non sexual intimacy with the right person, though he also enjoys sharing and exploring different cuisines.

He is a lover of classical music, often having it on in the background as he works. He'll often hum along off-key to the melody of whatever he's listening to as he works.

Speech: Deep, consistent, with a thick Serbian accent. He has a voice for radio capable of projecting his voice incredibly well if needed. He is fluent in English, Serbian, German and Russian, and will usually lapse in to Serbian when drunk or stressed.

Flaws: Zak tends to make assumptions that are wrong when dealing with inter-personal matters. He lives with deep seated abandonment issues from the passing of his mother, abandonment by his father and subsequent failed adoption by his father's sister before his mother's brother and his wife stepped up to adopt him.
