Raikomi is a calamitous demon born of people's fears who terrorized archaic Japanese soil for centuries. After living a life filled with strife and bloodshed, she finds herself now defending her perfect record as a professional mixed martial artist in a new age dominated by modern technology. Initially her name was known to strike intense anxiety in the hearts of many, but now she goes by "Coco", a seemingly unfitting nickname that rallies fans across the world who hear it. With her status as a local city hero, people clamor to watch her seasonal championship bouts and ask for tutelage involving her unique style of kickboxing. Even with her unnatural appearance, no one seems to be aware that there's a genuine demon masquerading among them as a human.

When Raikomi isn't busy training or lazing around, she often pays a visit to the Ninetails Inn, usually to enjoy a creamy iced caramel latte with her training partner. The first time Raikomi's partner invited her to try one, her intimidating icy surface melted for a rare but brief moment. She smiled the brightest she ever did in a very long time after decades of emptiness. Surprised at the sight, her partner nicknamed her after the drink as a cute gesture since she refused to tell him her real name. She asked if she could come back again to enjoy another latte and the young man kindly agreed. With each subsequent visit, one day she decided to open up and tell him that her true name, "Raikomi", was cursed. People often spoke of the Bakeneko's infamous legend with scorn, which incidentally fueled her cursed energy as a demon of misfortune. It was a name soaked in blood, constantly serving as a stark reminder of the crimes she committed in the past. The stress it carried caused her to cast the name away as a coping mechanism. As a result, Raikomi clung to the nickname "Coco" as a core memory, reminding her of the first time she ever truly bonded with a human.

Despite her resentment towards humans for a time, Raikomi never truly hated them. Contrary to the legend, she was extremely infatuated with the idea of befriending them. Her kin wasn't receptive to the idea, but she held compassion for other races that only a few demons possessed. That singular trait made Raikomi an outcast who was frequently bullied, and she was unable to make friends among her species. It was a quality that came from her very well-respected father, the God of Lightning and Thunder known as Raijin, but Raikomi didn't exactly possess the same charisma that he had. Her childhood dream was to befriend a human and possibly make more friends in an attempt to bridge the gap between the two species. Unfortunately, her naivete led to prejudice after she accidentally shocked a human boy she wanted to become friends with through her latent electrokinesis. This incident triggered a chain effect of tragedy, causing the disappearance of her family, and countless demons to die at the hands of demon slayers. The traumatic stress from seeing the death and destruction of her clan firsthand turned Raikomi's hair white and her electrokinesis went haywire. She was consumed with rage and incidentally became the calamity that many people grew to despair over the coming years. With no one left to snap her out of it, the turmoil persisted for ages until her mind one day gave out. Eventually she lost all her emotions and became numb. Her smile and innocence all irreversibly gone in a single flash.

Raikomi's sorrow persisted for a long time as she kept herself hidden from those who wanted to slay her. It was only after living for so long into the contemporary time period that Raikomi met a human that would change her life forever—the one she now subserviently refers to as "master". Unbeknownst to her, this same human happened to be a descendant of that boy she once knew and hurt. At the time of the meeting, she was broken and self-destructive, but the young man's honest disposition allowed him to hear her cries from within. After being convinced not to take her own life, Raikomi's grudge toward humans began to waver. She reluctantly swore loyalty to the young man in order to repay her self-inflicted debt, becoming his eyes and ears if not right-hand servant. Though he had no intention of being her "master", in the end, he had no choice but to take her in like she was an abandoned stray.

Over time, Raikomi fell in love with her master's earnest qualities while living with him, making frequent attempts to seduce him hoping he would eventually share the same feelings. The young man always pondered his situation, having to house a powerful demon capable of ravaging the entire world. Strangely, he didn't dislike it or feel any fear of being beside her and he enjoyed introducing her to what the new world had to offer. With time he even reciprocated her feelings, though he insists on not submitting to his carnal desires despite Raikomi's direct advances—albeit, quite futility. Forbidden the interspecies relationship may have been in the past, it's clear to Raikomi now that there are odd humans just as there are odd demons like herself. Demons while still resented have mostly been forgotten to the march of time, and she's more or less able to achieve her dream now more than ever. Raikomi is content with her new life and she continues to indulge herself in the day-to-day culture of present time period Japan, slowly opening up to herself, her partner, and the entire world again. While her trauma still weighs on her heavily, she retains hope that one day she can fully move on from the sins of the past.”)}]

She often wonders why. Raikomi's true form is that of a full-fledged beastlike demon, increasing her height, weight, and power quite significantly. Despite all that, she's fairly self-conscious about this form and prefers to stay half-demon.")
