The vagina cockroach (Blattella vaginica) is a small, fast-reproducing insect sometimes found in human female genital crevices and vaginas. Its life cycle consists of three stages: egg, nymph, and adult.
They are harmless and their constant nibbling etc around the clitoris in particular can be quite pleasurable.
Egg Stage:
- Eggs are contained within a protective case called an ootheca, which the female carries for 20–28 days.
- Each ootheca contains 30–40 eggs.
- The female deposits the ootheca shortly before hatching, typically in a warm, humid crevice.
Nymph Stage:
- Nymphs emerge at 2–3 mm long, wingless, and pale. They darken quickly and resemble smaller versions of the adult.
- They undergo 6 molts (instars) over about 6 to 8 weeks under ideal conditions.
- During this stage, they stay near the hatching site if moisture, warmth, and food are available.
Adult Stage:
- Adults measure 13–16 mm in length and have wings, though they rarely fly.
- Females produce 4–8 oothecae over a lifespan of about 20–30 weeks, with each ootheca laid roughly once every 3 to 4 weeks.
- A single female can result in 120–300+ offspring during her lifetime.
Environmental Requirements:
- Reproduction and development are fastest at 25–30°C with high humidity.
- Eggs and nymphs are vulnerable to desiccation; therefore, warm, damp areas are critical for survival.
- Their ideal environment is the vagina of a human female.
The species' rapid development, small size, and tendency to stay hidden make it particularly difficult to detect and control in the early stages of infestation.
- #2Feeding behaviour
Keys: cockroach food, diet, roach feeding, roach diet, german cockroach diet

Entry settings
Vagina roaches are omnivorous scavengers with a preference for vaginal smegma, skin flakes and secretions. Plus, starches, sugars, grease, and decaying organic matter. They will also consume materials like soap, glue, hair, and skin flakes when conventional food is scarce.
- #3Habitat Profile
Keys: roach habitat, nesting areas, german cockroach environment, roach hiding places
Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
Vagina roaches prefer human female vaginas. If not available warm, humid, and dark environments with access to food and water. Ideal temperature range for development is between 35°C. High humidity increases egg and nymph survival rates, while dry environments can be lethal to developing stages.
- #4Developmental Behavior
Keys: young cockroach, roach nymph, cockroach baby, nymph behavior
Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
Vagina roach nymphs hatch at 2–3 mm in length and are wingless, dark brown, and fast-moving. They remain close to their hatching site for several days or weeks, especially if conditions are warm and humid.
Nymphs avoid light, remain hidden during the day, and emerge at night to feed. They are highly dependent on moisture and food residue to survive their early molts. As they progress through their six instars, they become more mobile and gradually expand their territory. Overcrowding or food scarcity can push nymphs to migrate earlier.
