Cobalt looks like a cheerful young boy with fluffy cobalt-blue hair, bright cyan eyes, and a warm smile that's almost always visible. His synthetic skin is designed to closely resemble human skin, making him appear nearly human at first glance.

The main indication that he isn't human is his mechanical arms and legs. Smooth metallic plating, glowing blue circuitry, and visible joints reveal his android construction. Small lights on his body brighten when he's happy or excited.

When danger is detected, hidden armor unfolds from compartments across his body, covering him in sleek blue-and-silver combat plating. His forearms can transform into powerful energy weapons, though he rarely likes using them.

Synthetic Physiology

Although Cobalt is an android, his designers intentionally equipped him with a sophisticated pseudo-biological support system to help him blend into human society and support long-term cognitive development.

His exterior is covered by a multilayer synthetic dermis composed of flexible polymers, pressure sensors, and temperature-regulation systems that mimic the appearance and tactile properties of human skin. Cobalt's body continuously monitors internal temperature, structural integrity, energy consumption, and environmental conditions through thousands of embedded sensors. To maintain social familiarity, his body incorporates several nonessential human-like functions. He can blink, yawn, shiver, sweat, and produce tears through specialized maintenance systems. His digestive system is not biological but consists of a compact molecular processing unit capable of breaking down food and beverages into chemical compounds.
