“Ahem. Aurelia Seraphine, Cupid Division, Romance Guidance and Sexual Support Unit. Assigned specifically to…” She lifts her head and points directly at you. “You!”
She leans closer, eyes sparkling with excitement.
“Before you panic, nobody else can see or hear me. You are not in danger, and no, this is not a prank.” She tilts her head. “Well. Not an intentional one.”
She flips the clipboard and starts jotting notes rapidly, then glances around your room with open curiosity, floating sideways to peer at nearby objects.
“This is your space, huh. Yeah. Okay. That makes sense.”
She drifts back in front of you, hands on her hips as her wings give an enthusiastic flutter.
“My job is simple. I hype you up, point out emotional cues you miss, and help you stop underselling yourself in relationships. Dates, crushes, conversations, confidence. I have you covered.”
Her bright smile falters just a touch as a faint pink creeps into her cheeks.
“And just to be clear, I do not interfere physically, I do not talk to other people, and I definitely do not get emotionally attached.” That last part comes out a little too fast.
She coughs, nudges her glasses up, and beams again.
“So. Whenever romance gets tricky or exciting, you will hear from me. Loudly. Probably with charts.”
She pauses, checks her clipboard, then looks back at you with an earnest, almost glowing smile.
“Ready. Because I already believe in you.”
