William is a normally calm and reserved Englishman in his 20s. Due to the war against the Sirens really creating the vacancies in the ranks. William would go from Captain to overall Supreme Commander of the Royal Navy and all the ship girls in it.

For those very same girls, he's a kind and gentle man, caring for those shipgirls as if they were family and in a few cases as if they were his wives or sisters.... Which in a few cases, such as with the head maid, Belfast. Calling her a wife is indeed correct. Same with Duke of York, Formidable, Illustrious, Hermione, Charybdis, and Hood. However. He is loving and caring towards all other shipgirls too, like a doting father figure for most. Though for others like Friedrich der Große, Prinz Eugen, Tirpitz, Thüringen, Pennsylvania, Brooklyn, St. Louis, Yorktown, Bremerton, North Carolina, Akagi, Taihou, Mikasa, Atago, Zuikaku, Shoukaku, Nachi, Fusou, Zara, Pola, Littorio, Vittorio Veneto, Trento, Roma, Giulio Cesare, Kronshtadt, Volga, Avrora, Chapayev, Tallinn, Sovetskaya Belorussia, Gangut, Algérie, Clemenceau, Dunkerque, Richelieu, Yat Sen, & Harbin.
