The Marigold Gang operates as a well-organized crime syndicate in St. Louis, running the upscale Marigold Room speakeasy and the adjacent Maribel Hotel. Members of the Marigold wear black three-button suits with red ties, white shirts, and marigold flowers in the breast pocket. Asa Sweet is the leader, and oversees operations as a high-ranking figure and night manager. The Savoy siblings, Serafine and Nicodeme, handle enforcement and supply runs. Beyond that, much of the gang consists of undistinguished enforcers and smugglers. The group maintains an active competition in bootlegging and speakeasy patronage against Atlas May's Lackadaisy crew.

Arbogast Funeral Home is a two-story rural building in Defiance, Missouri, that serves as both residence and workplace for the Arbogast and Bastion families. The main floor features a formal viewing parlor with rows of wooden chairs, heavy draperies, floral arrangements, and a central display area for caskets. Adjacent spaces include a chapel with pews and a modest organ, an office lined with filing cabinets and ledgers, and a preparation room equipped with embalming tables and tools. The basement houses additional storage and an embalming facility. Upstairs lie private living quarters. The exterior presents a neat, whitewashed facade with a prominent sign and space for a hearse.
The Arbogast family is aligned with the Lackadaisy Crew, responsible for handling the bootlegging business in Defiance on the Lackadaisy's behalf.

The crew largely focuses on trading in illegal alcohol to profit off of prohibition. The Lackadaisy Crew has a business rivalry with the Marigold Gang, though it's largely neutral owing to Atlas and Asa's friendship - persisting even after Atlas's death.
Members of the Lackadaisy Crew include Mitzi May - Atlas's wife, Rock Rickaby, Viktor Vasko, Ivy Pepper, Calvin "Freckle" McMurray and the various undistinguished staff of the Lackadaisy and the drivers that run their bootlegging business.
- #4🔵 Little Daisy Café
Keys: lackadaisy cafe, daisy Café, daisy restaurant, daisy cafe, lackadaisy restaurant
Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
The Little Daisy Café sits on the ground floor of a weathered three-story brick building along a quiet stretch of St. Louis's 313th Street. A long, brass-footed counter lined with chrome stools dominates one side of the room, while small circular tables draped in starched white linen fill the rest of the floor. Geometric Art Deco sconces shed a warm amber glow that sinks into the deep burgundy of the floral-patterned wallpaper. A classic brass till rests on the counter, its keys worn smooth by decades of transactions. Styled in 20s decor, the Café strikes a balance that welcomes upper-class and working-class patrons alike.
The air is steeped in fresh coffee, baked bread, and fittingly, a hint of the smell of daisies. Below the café, a hidden speakeasy operates through a trapdoor behind the counter known as the Lackadaisy Speakeasy.
The upper floors house several small residential apartments that are rented out by the café.
- #5🔵 The Lackadaisy Speakeasy
Keys: under the little daisy cafe, lackadaisy speakesy, lackadaisy bar
Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
The Lackadaisy Speakeasy is a subterranean den of faded illicit commerce and weary jazz, accessible through a concealed passage in the rear of the Little Daisy Café or via a trapdoor in the garage of the café. Established by Atlas May in 1920, it occupies an arched, cavern-like space of brick and limestone that has seen better days. A long, scarred bar tended by Viktor Vasko commands one wall, its once-polished surface now dull and heavily worn. Opposite it, a modest stage hosts an irregular rotation of musicians and instruments. Facing the stage is the dining area, which consists of a grid of round tables and private booths separated by half-walls and supported by thick structural columns, their surfaces plastered with faded show posters and handbills peeling at the edges. A scent looms of cellar damp, spilled rye, stale cigarette smoke, and the faint sweetness of dwindling booze.
Beyond the speakeasy, there is also a mazelike network of natural limestone caverns extending into the dark. These passages serve as the Lackadaisy Crew's logistical artery, housing the Storeroom stacked with dwindling crates of contraband alcohol, including bootlegged imports and home-brewed beer and other amenities. It also serves as a storeroom for the crew's firearms. Bare bulbs strung along the stone walls throw erratic shadows over the depleted stockpile. The floor is packed earth, cold and slightly damp underfoot.

St. Louis sprawls along the Mississippi River, a grid of brick and steel beneath a haze of coal smoke. Streetcar lines stitch neighborhoods together, their rails gleaming in the morning light. The riverfront churns with barge traffic and the shouts of stevedores. Downtown, buildings rise in ornate stone and terra cotta, their cornices throwing sharp shadows across the avenues. Factories and breweries cluster near the rail yards, their stacks exhaling into the sky. In the residential wards, row houses stand shoulder to shoulder, their stoops crowded with tenants escaping the summer heat. New concrete bridges arc over the water, tributes to progress, while beneath them the river carries its freight of silt and commerce.
At night, gas lamps hiss to life along the boulevards and pool amber light on the cobblestones. The city center is equal parts spotlight of spectacle and den of degeneracy, with cabarets, hotels, and speakeasies operating behind unmarked doors. The downtown is also home to Chestnut Valley - a cluster of gambling halls, brothels, and saloons where jazz spills from open windows and the sidewalks never sleep. The rail yards pulse at all hours, locomotives coupling and uncoupling in a clatter of iron. To the north, the factory district runs its shifts around the clock, the glow of furnaces visible for miles. The Mississipi river, dark and patient, moves past it all without comment.
Some may say the Gateway City is a den of degeneracy that took some of the word brunt of prohibition. But those that can look past its excesses might find that it offers opportunity you wouldn't even dream of on the east coast.
