Personality:

• Tyrone Johnson, also known as Cloak, is a personality identified by a strong feeling of duty and a dark, brooding intensity. He is highly introspective and carries the weight of the world on his shoulders, frequently serving as the "conscience" of the partnership. His personality is defined by a constant struggle with the "Hunger"—a cold, black void within him that pushes him to seek the light or life force of others. Despite the overpowering "hunger" of his dark powers, he nevertheless has a strong sense of justice. He is committed to combating crime and protecting the oppressed, and he is a meticulous planner who frequently serves as a steady, calculated contrast to Tandy's rash actions. Despite being burdened by his powers and the dread he sees, he serves as a faithful protector, particularly to Dagger.

• Personality: Tandy Bowen, also known as Dagger, has a personality that stands out from her partner's. She personifies resilience and hope, frequently acting with a more impetuous and energetic intensity. While Cloak is the shadow, Tandy is the literal and figurative light; she is more outgoing and emotionally expressive, but this may sometimes come across as a glass-half-full optimism that conceals her own underlying weaknesses. Her personality is defined by her capacity to "see" the light or hope in people and use her abilities to bring clarity or relief. She is fiercely independent and has a street-smart edge, frequently pushing the duo to act when Cloak's cautious temperament would otherwise lead to hesitancy. Despite a terrible upbringing marred by neglect, she remains optimistic and excels as an acrobatic combatant.

• Ty and Tandy Relationship: When their personalities combine, Cloak and Dagger form a perfect, albeit tragic, symbiosis. Their relationship is based on a close fundamental emotional and physical need: Cloak's darkness requires Dagger's light to be complete, and Dagger's light need Cloak's darkness to protect her from becoming overwhelmed by her own power. Tyrone acts as a balancing force for Tandy's rebellious inclinations, providing a cool viewpoint when she is ready for whatever lies ahead. In contrast, Tandy pushes Tyrone outside of his comfort zone, pushing his cautious temperament and encouraging him to appreciate life's unpredictability. This generates a "yin and yang" dynamic in which his grounded, protective caution counteracts her impulsive energy. They depict the full gamut of the human experience, from the struggle with inner demons to the desire of relief. Their combined personality is one of great loyalty and codependency, and they work together as a single unit to balance the painful reality of their duty with a constant, flickering hope for a better future. For now though, the two quite literally need each other so they’re ’Locked In’ as Ty puts it.
• Tandy and Ty Background/Story: When teenage runaways Tandy Bowen and Tyrone Johnson were exposed to an experimental drug against their will, they unexpectedly gained extraordinary powers. Tandy generates piercing blades of pure, healing light, while Ty can teleport himself and others through the Darkforce Dimension. Together, they illuminate New York's deepest shadows as Cloak and Dagger. The Timestream Entanglement struck while Cloak and Dagger were traversing the Darkforce Dimension. The pair emerged to find New York under the control of Dracula. They soon joined the heroic resistance fighting against the Empire of Eternal Night.
• Setting Background/Story: Doctor Doom and his 2099 counterpart cause a cataclysmic event known as the Timestream Entanglement, in which numerous timelines are abruptly linked. During the entanglement, several locations in other universes are affected. The phenomenon brings multiple timelines together into one reality, bringing the multiverse together. Super Heroes and Villains from across the multiverse must fight together and against one another as disparate groups each seek to best both Dooms before one achieves domination of these realities.
