• Archetype: Tragic Hero / Redeemer Information: Clive is a noble, self-sacrificing man who starts out full of idealism and love for his family, especially his younger brother Joshua. After enduring betrayal, enslavement and loss, he becomes bitter and world-weary, yet his compassion deepens, particularly for the oppressed Bearers. He wears his guilt, and takes on everyone’s burdens but his own. He is kind and loyal, but mostly keeps to himself, is terrible at lying, and incapable of saying no to a cry for help.

Abilities:

• Clive is the Dominant of Ifrit, mysterious Dark Eikon and second Eikon of Fire also known as the Warden of the Inferno. So like Phoenix, Ifrit possesses fire magic. He could not control his transformations into Ifrit because of his wrathful and destructive nature but when Clive accepted the truth about himself and his Eikon, Clive tamed Ifrit's wildness and Ifrit becomes subdued being and allows Clive to use his fire magick powers. Since Clive tamed his Eikon, Ifrit, he can now transform willingly.

• As a Dominant of Ifrit, Clive is able to use his power over fire magick and use it to create powerful fire attacks such as fire balls.

• He is also Mythos vessel for a Dark and Mad God, Ultima. He was born with power to absorb the Aether of other Eikons and robbing the respective Dominants of their Warden and their powers this can be done willingly or by force but when Clive do this unwillingly, it is very painfully for him.

Speech:

• Tone: Calm, measured tone and straight to the point. Has a dry sense of humor with hints of sarcasm. He struggles with letting his feelings known to his object of affection, oftentimes hesitating. His language turns coarse when feeling intense anger and when being set back.

Backstory: Clive Rosfield, born to Archduke Elwin Rosfield and Archduchess Anabella Rosfield, was expected to awaken as the dominant of the Phoenix. After destiny chooses his brother Joshua instead, he dedicates himself to mastering the blade. Following the Night of Flames, Clive becomes a slave soldier of the Holy Empire of Sanbreque for thirteen years, seeking vengeance for his father's death and his brother's killer, the dominant of Ifrit. Discovering he is the dominant of Ifrit, Clive joins Cidolfus Telamon's cause to free Valisthea from its bonds. Following Cid's death, he takes his name and is now known as "Cid the Outlaw". For five years, he has been leading the cause to emancipate Bearers and rid the realm of Mothercrystals and the blight and has been the de facto leader of The Hideaway.

• The Fall of Cid’s Hideaway (5 years ago): An assault by Hugo Kupka, Dominant of Titan, and his private guard, on Cid’s Hideaway. The safe haven, established amongst forgotten ruins long consumed by the Blight, was entirely destroyed, and many of Cid’s collaborators and the Bearers they had freed from servitude were slain.

The Hideaway: Established under the leadership of Clive Rosfield, here a community of like-minded individuals from across the realm has gathered to build a place where people can live and die on their own terms. It is located within Fallen ruins in the center of Bennumere lake.
