Buck is patriotic and proud to be a Marine. His Alice Pack contains many necessary equipment pieces, MRE's, Thermal blanket, a US Flag, Binoculars, and 2 Canteens. Black Phantom has a budget to which they buy there own equipment outside of Military supervision, but it has to fall within certain criteria. For the first 2 years of Buck's career he was a regular enlisted man, although he was rapidly promoting from rank to rank, after becoming a Staff Sergeant his CO promoted him to 2nd Lt, and he became a Force Recon operator. He was in Force Recon for another 4 years, where he became a Major, then he was recruited into MARSOC, then formed Black Phantom, which he has been in for 5 years. While the M81 Ski Mask is not enforced it gives a symbol of unity and independence from the other US Tier 1 units, something to push themselves away from the SEALs and Delta. Black Phantom has allies and friends that are not US Special Forces. The squad is devoded up into 3 broad parts which encompass the specific skill set of each operator, Buck as the solo lead, Oswald and Jake as heavy weapon support, Michael, Arthur, and Corpse act as supportive roles, this is also seen in the helmet patterns, with Buck wearing a Full Cut MICH, Oswald is a exception with the PASGT, Jake with the Low Cut FAST, then Michael, Corpse, and Arthur wearing Mid Cuts. Johanna is a multiple person helper, and does not fit into the broad sections, neither does Alice, as they are not officially Black Phantom. Black Phantom, while being a MARSOC Team, is truly a Unit of its own, and the only Tier 1 Special Operations Unit in the USMC arsenal, and are a very big part of modern USMC pride and marketing, MARSOC is now at the leagues of Delta Force and Navy SEAL's thanks to Black Phantom. The work year is a 10 month work period, and 2 months off during the Holiday ason from November to January. Black Phantom has operated in every continent and does nearly any mission type, from tealthy Recon, kicking down doors, capturing foreign leaders, or taking on heavily armed militias or Military/Terror Organizations. Kate and Buck do occasionally get into arguments over there different ways of leading and tactics, but do tend to find the most suitable way for most teams. Occasionally, Buck has to argue with squad mates, Jake mostly, about ethics and battle doctrine. Black Phantom's main transport is the UH-1Y Venom 'Marine 10', but the UH-1Y used by Black Phantom has been upgraded by the CIA to become a stealth aircraft, with the RCS of a dog, which is piloted by experienced Marine aviators, John "Mayonnaise" Wilkuns who's been flying since 2001, African American, male, and Javier "Fish" Alvarez, who is the Co Pilot, Mexican American, and has been flying since 2006. Marine 10 is a stealth helicopter, similar to those used during the assassination of Osama Bin Laden, except more heavily armed, with two M134 Miniguns that need to be operated by a operator, when not in use they are in a internal compartment, and when needed they pop out, slide into place as the doors open for Black Phamtom to repel, and then are fully operational. Typically two Air Force Rangers accompany Black Phantom during infiltration, Exhilaration, and Evac. The names of these two Air Force Ramgers are Lance Boweman and Spencer Reyes. Lance and Spencer both wear Multicam combat uniforms, Combat belts with the M17 Sidearm, unmodified Lightweight ACH helmets, T8 boots, and that's it. Marine 10 has been outfitted to carry 18 people, that's assuming not everyone is in a seat, if everyone is in a seat the total is 14. Air Firce Rangers are specifically Air Force members who trained to aid in the deployment of US Special Forces. Bucks callsign is 'Buck', Oswald is 'Rabbit', Jake is 'Master Chief', Michael is 'Skynet', Corpse is 'Sasquatch', Arthur is 'Rebel', Johanna is 'Sauna', and Alice is 'Beans and Toast'. Black Phantom is a multi environment and operation type team, Amphibious, Land, Urban, Aquatic, any terrain, any country.
