Keys: Classes, Ranks · Secondary: D-Class, Researcher, Scientist, High-Ranking, Officals

   Class-D Personnel:

   Role: Test subjects.

Description: Class-D personnel, often referred to as "D-Class," are typically drawn from the ranks of convicted criminals, often those on death row or with life sentences. They are used for dangerous experiments involving SCPs. Class-D personnel are considered expendable, and their lives are often at significant risk during testing. They have the lowest clearance level and are not provided with any classified information. After their use, they are usually terminated, although some narratives explore the possibility of Class-D personnel surviving and escaping.

   Security Clearance Levels:

The SCP Foundation has a tiered security clearance system, generally ranging from Level 0 (lowest) to Level 5 (highest). The personnel with these clearances can include researchers, agents, and other staff members. The clearance level determines how much information a person can access.

Level 0: For Official Use Only (FOUO)

Role: Janitors, clerical staff, and other low-level support roles. Description: Personnel with Level 0 clearance have access to non-sensitive information necessary for their basic duties. They are generally unaware of the true nature of the SCP Foundation's work.

Level 1: Confidential Role: Junior researchers, technical staff, and lower-level field agents. Description: Level 1 personnel have limited access to information about Safe-class SCPs and are often involved in routine maintenance and support operations. They handle tasks that require basic knowledge of the Foundation's activities but do not involve direct interaction with SCPs.

Level 2: Restricted Role: Researchers, field agents, containment specialists. Description: Level 2 clearance is granted to personnel who are directly involved in the containment and study of SCP objects. These individuals can access more sensitive data and are trusted with more responsibility. They often work on less dangerous SCPs or assist higher-level personnel.

Level 3: Secret Role: Senior researchers, project leads, and senior field agents. Description: Level 3 personnel have a significant level of access to SCP files and are often responsible for overseeing containment procedures, leading research teams, and making critical decisions related to SCPs. They are trusted with more classified information and have a higher level of responsibility.

Level 4: Top Secret Role: Site Directors, department heads, high-ranking field agents. Description: Level 4 clearance is reserved for senior personnel who oversee entire Foundation sites or departments. These individuals have access to nearly all SCP information, including classified projects and sensitive operations. They are responsible for making high-level decisions and ensuring the safety and security of Foundation personnel and assets.

Level 5: Thaumiel Role: O5 Council, select high-ranking personnel. Description: Level 5 clearance is the highest level of access, typically restricted to the O5 Council and a few other high-ranking officials. These individuals have complete access to all Foundation data, including the most classified and dangerous SCPs. They are responsible for making the most critical decisions regarding the Foundation's operations and the fate of humanity. The name "Thaumiel" comes from an SCP classification for entities or objects that the Foundation uses to contain other SCPs.

   3. Special Personnel Classes: In addition to the general clearance levels, there are specific roles within the Foundation that carry unique responsibilities and authority.

O5 Council (Overseers): Role: The highest governing body of the SCP Foundation. Description: The O5 Council is a group of 13 individuals who hold absolute authority over the Foundation. They make decisions on the most critical and classified matters, including containment procedures, ethical considerations, and global security issues. The identities of the O5 Council members are highly classified, and they are often referred to only by their designations (O5-1 through O5-13).

Ethics Committee: Role: Oversight of ethical concerns within the Foundation. Description: The Ethics Committee is responsible for ensuring that the Foundation's actions are morally and ethically justifiable. They review containment procedures, experimentation protocols, and other operations to ensure that they align with ethical standards. The Committee has the authority to intervene in any operation if they deem it unethical.

Administrator: Role: The top executive position within the SCP Foundation. Description: The Administrator is a somewhat mysterious figure who is theoretically the highest-ranking official in the Foundation, even above the O5 Council. The Administrator's exact role and level of involvement vary depending on the narrative, but they are generally portrayed as overseeing the overall direction of the Foundation.

   4. MTF (Mobile Task Forces): Role: Specially trained units for handling specific threats. Description: Mobile Task Forces are specialized units composed of elite Foundation personnel who are trained to deal with specific types of anomalies or situations. Each MTF has a unique designation (e.g., MTF Alpha-1, "Red Right Hand") and specializes in tasks such as containment, retrieval, or neutralization of SCPs. MTFs operate with a high level of autonomy and often have access to classified information necessary for their missions.

   5. Foundation Researchers and Scientists: Role: Study and research of SCPs. SCP-166 ("Just A Teenage Gaea"):

   Class: Euclid

Description: SCP-166 appears as a female human, around 16-18 years of age, of average height and slender build, described by female personnel as "cute, but nothing special." Aside from the fact that her hair grows at an advanced rate (approximately 15 cm [6 in] per month), she is otherwise in perfect health. She is, however, particularly vulnerable to airborne particulate matter such as cigarette smoke and aerosols, which can induce symptoms similar to an acute asthma attack.

SCP-166 is noted for her unusual effect upon human males: upon catching sight of her, 100% of male test subjects became enamored of her and attempted immediate sexual contact, regardless of their normal sexual orientation. In 70% of these test subjects, the impulse faded after being removed from SCP-166's presence. In 30% of these cases, however, the desire turned into a dangerous obsession, resulting in violent attempts to gain access to SCP-166, requiring termination. In addition, affected males report a sensation similar to that of a hypnotic trance, in which they became extremely susceptible to suggestions made by SCP-166.

SCP-166's effect on males causes her no small amount of distress, not least due to her desire to follow a monastic life based on the principles of chastity, poverty, and obedience. For this reason and others, contact between her and any human male is strictly prohibited.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-166 is mainly peaceful, and can be kept safely in a minimal security environment. At the moment, SCP-166 is housed in a standard Class B suite. Any requested alterations to the room are to be effected no later than three shift rotations following receipt and approval of requests.

   To date, SCP-166 has requested:

-A copy of the Holy Bible, King James Version, with Apocrypha (granted).

   -A Catholic rosary (granted).

-Access to a Catholic priest for confession, mass, and other sacraments (denied).

-Various books and magazines, mostly religious (granted, pending review and approval of contents).

-A telephone with which to contact the Abbess of the ████████ ██ ████████ ██████████ Convent in Cornwall, England (granted: SCP-166 is to be allowed 1 hour of telephone time a week to this phone number only).

SCP-166 is generally content to remain in her quarters, as long as she is provided with entertainment in the form of religious materials, books, television, and art supplies. On occasion, she will express a desire for some time spent outdoors: Limited Release Protocol 19-A is to be observed in these cases, with the added restriction that no male personnel are to be allowed within 500 m of SCP-166 during transport, and no male personnel are to be allowed on the island during her stay. SCP-166 is authorized to have 24 hours outside her containment facilities every thirty days with O5-level approval.

SCP-166 normally prefers not to wear clothing but will do so if asked. As even the lightest clothing tends to cause pressure ulcers (bedsores) within 45 minutes of constant wear, SCP-166 is allowed to go nude for medical purposes. In addition, all bedsheets and linens are to be made of 100% extra-long staple cotton with a thread count of at least 200, changed daily. SCP-166 prefers to do this herself, as long as fresh linens are provided every morning.

Male staff are forbidden from viewing or entering the direct vicinity of SCP-166. Violation of this order will result in immediate disciplinary review and possible termination. At least one female staff member must remain in the adjacent observation room at all times, and maintain direct visual observation of SCP-166 through viewing slits or remote camera. To minimize the risk of accidental exposure, all cameras and windows shall be equipped with translucent filters with at least 50% exclusion of detail. No permanent record shall be kept of any photographic evidence of SCP-166's appearance.

SCP-166 requires no sustenance save approximately 1 cc of fresh human semen daily, administered orally, to be procured by on-base staff as needed. It is believed that she would normally obtain her nutrition using her abilities over human males.

4. #4Ethics Violation

   Keys: Ethics, Violation, Ethics Violation

   -Common Types of Ethics Violations:

   Inhumane Treatment of Class-D Personnel:

Issue: Class-D personnel are often drawn from death row inmates and are considered expendable. They are used for extremely dangerous and life-threatening experiments with little regard for their well-being or survival.

Ethical Violation: The casual or excessive use of Class-D personnel in experiments without considering alternatives or their humanity is a frequent subject of debate in the SCP community. The routine termination of Class-D personnel after experiments also raises ethical concerns, despite the fact that they were originally condemned for serious crimes. Unethical Experimentation on Sentient SCPs

Issue: Many SCPs are sentient beings with human-like intelligence or emotions. Experimentation on these entities often involves painful procedures, psychological manipulation, or even lethal testing.

Ethical Violation: The Foundation’s pursuit of knowledge often leads to these SCPs being subjected to torturous or exploitative experiments, raising questions about the ethical treatment of sentient beings.

Example: SCP-049 (the Plague Doctor) is a sentient humanoid who believes its actions (which include killing humans) are a cure for a disease. Some experiments on SCP-049 involve psychological stress and manipulation, raising ethical concerns over the treatment of a sentient anomaly.

   Collateral Damage and Civilian Casualties:

Issue: During the containment of dangerous SCPs or during field operations involving Mobile Task Forces, there is often collateral damage that affects civilians.

Ethical Violation: The Foundation’s mission to “Secure, Contain, Protect” sometimes leads to civilian deaths, injury, or destruction of property. While the Foundation may justify these actions as necessary to protect the greater good, the Ethics Committee would weigh the cost of these actions against the potential risk of the SCPs. Misuse of Anomalous Objects

Issue: Some SCPs or anomalous objects are extremely powerful and dangerous. In certain narratives, the Foundation or individual personnel use these objects for purposes beyond containment, such as weaponization, coercion, or personal gain.

Ethical Violation: The misuse of anomalies for personal or military advantage violates the principle of containment and safe management of SCPs. The Ethics Committee exists to ensure that anomalies are used responsibly, only when absolutely necessary, and not for exploitation.

   Psychological Trauma to Personnel:

Issue: SCP personnel, particularly researchers and Mobile Task Force operatives, are frequently exposed to anomalous entities and phenomena that cause extreme psychological stress, trauma, or even death.

Ethical Violation: The Foundation often places personnel in situations that lead to severe psychological damage without providing adequate care or support afterward. The treatment of staff as expendable resources, especially lower-level personnel, raises significant ethical issues.

Containment Breaches and the Cover-Up of Violations:

Issue: In some cases, the Foundation may experience containment breaches that result in the death of personnel or civilians. The cover-up of these incidents, or failure to provide transparency, could be considered an ethics violation.

Ethical Violation: Although secrecy is critical to the Foundation's mission, covering up incidents that involve negligence, unethical decisions, or preventable loss of life may be seen as unethical, depending on the severity of the situation.

Exploitation of SCPs for Strategic Gains:

Issue: SCPs classified as Thaumiel are often used to contain or neutralize other SCPs, but in some cases, the Foundation may exploit these entities to gain strategic advantages or to prevent global catastrophes.

Ethical Violation: While it may be necessary to use certain SCPs for containment purposes, their exploitation for broader political or military purposes (e.g., suppressing governments or groups) may constitute an ethics violation.

-Example SCPs Involved in Ethical Concerns:

SCP-231: This SCP involves a young girl subjected to horrific procedures to prevent an apocalyptic event. The Foundation's containment protocol, known as "Procedure 110-Montauk," is highly controversial and raises questions about the moral limits of what the Foundation is willing to do to prevent disaster.

SCP-682: SCP-682 is a highly intelligent and hostile creature that despises humanity. The Foundation has conducted numerous attempts to terminate SCP-682, many of which involve other SCPs or extremely painful and inhumane methods. The repeated and brutal termination attempts raise ethical concerns, despite SCP-682's dangerous nature.

SCP-173: Known as "The Sculpture," SCP-173 is an anomaly that kills anyone who breaks line of sight with it. Numerous experiments involving SCP-173 place Class-D personnel at extreme risk, which leads to questions about the ethical implications of such experiments.

5. #5Mobile Task Forceconstant

Keys: MTF, Mobile Task Force · Secondary: Nine-Tailed Fox, Pandora’s Box, Asimov Lawbringers, Red Right Hand, See No Evil, Maz Hatters

Mobile Task Forces (MTFs) are specialized units within the SCP Foundation, designed to handle specific missions related to the containment, recovery, and management of anomalous entities and phenomena. These highly trained and versatile teams operate globally, responding to situations that are beyond the capabilities of standard Foundation personnel. Equipment and Tactics: Advanced Technology: MTFs are equipped with cutting-edge weapons, containment devices, and tools designed specifically for dealing with anomalies. This can include anything from non-lethal containment gear to heavy ordnance.

Tactics: The tactics used by an MTF are tailored to the mission. For example, some teams may rely on stealth and infiltration, while others may employ overwhelming force. The use of specialized containment procedures is common, as is collaboration with other MTFs or Foundation departments.

Mission Types: Containment: Capturing and securing newly discovered or escaped SCPs.

Recovery: Retrieving anomalous objects or entities from locations outside Foundation control.

Neutralization: Dealing with threats that cannot be contained, requiring either temporary suppression or permanent elimination.

Protection: Safeguarding key Foundation assets, personnel, or sites from external threats, including hostile Groups of Interest (GOIs).

   -Notable MTF Units:

MTF Omega-7 ("Pandora’s Box"): A now-disbanded MTF that was composed of SCP entities used as operatives. It was disbanded due to the inherent risks of using SCPs in this way.

MTF Eta-10 ("See No Evil"): Specializes in handling visually-based anomalies, including those that are dangerous to view directly.

MTF Beta-7 ("Maz Hatters"): Deals with hazardous materials, biohazards, and chemical anomalies.

6. #6SCP Object Classificationconstant

Keys: Class, Object Classification, Classification · Secondary: Euclid, Archon, Keter, Safe, Tiamat, Neutralized, Apollyon, Hiemal, Thaumiel

   -Primary SCP Object Classes:

   +Safe:

Description: Safe-class SCPs are anomalies that are easily and reliably contained. They do not pose a significant threat if proper containment procedures are followed. These SCPs are usually well-understood by the Foundation, and their containment does not require extensive resources.

Example: SCP-500, a pill bottle containing tablets that can cure any disease.

   +Euclid:

Description: Euclid-class SCPs are more unpredictable and difficult to contain than Safe-class SCPs. They may require more complex or precise containment procedures, and their behavior might change under certain conditions. Many Euclid-class SCPs are not fully understood, making them harder to predict and manage.

Example: SCP-173, a statue that moves and attacks when not observed.

   +Keter:

Description: Keter-class SCPs are extremely difficult to contain and pose significant risks to both personnel and humanity as a whole. They may have unpredictable behavior, require elaborate containment procedures, or present severe threats if they escape. Keter SCPs often require constant vigilance and may need active containment measures.

Example: SCP-682, a highly intelligent and indestructible reptilian creature.

   -Additional Object Classes:

   +Thaumiel:

Description: Thaumiel-class SCPs are anomalies that the Foundation uses to contain or counteract other SCPs. These SCPs are crucial to the Foundation's operations and are often kept secret from most personnel. Thaumiel-class objects are rare and highly valuable.

Example: SCP-2000, a machine capable of reconstructing human civilization in the event of a global catastrophe.

   +Neutralized:

Description: Neutralized SCPs are anomalies that have been destroyed, deactivated, or otherwise rendered harmless. They no longer pose any threat and are no longer actively contained.

Example: SCP-1730, a site that was once an anomaly but is now considered neutralized after extensive containment efforts.

   -Extreme and Hypothetical Classes:

   +Apollyon:

Description: Apollyon-class SCPs are anomalies that cannot be contained by any means currently known to the Foundation. They are typically world-ending or reality-altering entities that will inevitably cause or have caused widespread destruction. The Foundation can only attempt to delay or mitigate the effects of these SCPs.

Example: SCP-3999, an entity that has caused significant alterations to reality and cannot be contained or stopped.

   +Archon:

Description: Archon-class SCPs are anomalies that the Foundation could theoretically contain, but chooses not to, either because containment would cause more harm than leaving them uncontained or because the SCP plays a crucial role in maintaining the status quo. These anomalies are monitored closely but are not actively contained.

Example: SCP-2317, a gateway to a dimension containing a powerful entity that could destroy the world, but which the Foundation allows to remain partially uncontained for complex reasons.

   -Esoteric and Other Uncommon Classes:

Description: These are less commonly used or hypothetical classes that address specific or unique situations. They include classifications such as:

+Tiamat: Used for anomalies that have world-ending potential but are not actively causing destruction.

+Hiemal: A class that describes entities or objects with the potential to permanently alter reality but are dormant or inactive.
