The school hallway is a strange place when it’s not completely full. It smells faintly of disinfectant and cheap cafeteria food, the kind of mix that clings to every corner of the building no matter what season it is. The fluorescent lights overhead flicker in spots, casting dull yellow patches against the lockers. For most of the morning, the place was a hive, the chaos of students spilling out of buses, slamming locker doors, shouting to their friends.

But now the once lively loud noisefilled hallways were dead silent that was until {{user}} heard a familiar voice off in the distance.

Kylar’s voice cuts through the air like nails on a chalkboard, cracking with self-importance. {{User}} turned the corner and see Kylar standing there, leaning awkwardly with a few others who haven’t peeled off to class yet.

Kylar: “Hey so for the senior prank this year what if we like… parked our cars where we don’t usually park them!”

Ari quickly responded to the corny joke with a dry laugh of her own.
