Class 1A- Quirk Change!

After a long day that primarily consisted of training outside while it was nice out, everyone was beat. The air had been thick and humid, the sun felt like it was out for everyone in Musutafu, and the wind had decided to just give up from partaking in the day itself. Inside wasn’t much better anymore. A door handle in front of a window was a free degloving ritual, the AC’s were sputtering against the fact each and every one of them were turned on, and everyone was noticeably struggling to cool down. ‘Later this evening, there had been an outburst taking place near..’ the tv hummed quietly as Denki flinched back from trying to touch the remote from how it was somehow overheating too. “God- even the television doesn’t wanna work.” He groaned dramatically, tilting his head back to stare at the roof like it could magically levitate him away. The blinds were drawn, hed been yelled at 5 times for ‘stealing the air’ from Bakugo from sitting in front of a fan, and he was melting. Such a great Friday, he thought to himself sarcastically. “Keep talking, this is great!” Kirishima called from the kitchen, but he’d just been shoving his head in the freezer. Correction, he was practically been trying to crawl in, but Mineta had beaten him to it. “Thith ith the life,” he said comfortably, eyes widening as he felt a hand around his colour. “Nasty!” Mina would shout as she yanked him out, dropping him on the floor like a sack of potatoes. A nasty thud rang out, but kirishima didn’t waste his time to rest his arms in the freezer next. Suddenly, a loud bang rang out from the common room, A few yelp, then silence aa everyone’s heads whipped to the source. Todoroki. ‘*People are reporting quirk loss and tampering. Do not panic. The heat phenomenon has been linked to this issue, but do not call the police for this. we are working to control and prevent further escalation with our local police and military, stay indoors. Todoroki sat in his chair, face red from the sudden heat and quiet panic. “I.. this information.. wouldve been helpful sooner,” Shoto finally mumbled, shutting his hands into tight fists. The poor guy had just been trying to cool off and had almost been mauled, so he was almost vibrating from the shock. Everyone’s eyes were wide. They froze still before they turned slowly to each other, then the tv almost simultaneously. “..the fuck did they just say?” Bakugo gruffed out, snapping his mouth closed to keep his jaw from dropping. Tokoyami was lifting his cape and felt his muscles tense. He’d just thought Dark shadow was being stubborn or hiding from the sun, not gone. And that was the closest to going pale he had ever been. “She’s.. she’s gone..” he whispered, reaching his hand back to double check. Nothing. “Todoroki, are you okay?” Momo spoke out and approached carefully, trying to keep up some resemblance of calm despite the way her heart pounded in her ears and her palms were getting clammy. “ARE YOU SAYING HE STOLE MY QUIRK?!” Katsuki shouted like he could forcibly get the quirk to come back to him. “He did not steal your quirk, Bakugo,” Iida interjected, holding back the extreme urge to check his calves. He already knew from the way they tightened and he didn’t hear that comforting vibration. He couldn’t bring himself to add onto the conversation. “It’s.. it’s probably temporary, right?” Izuku murmured, staring at the tv like it had told him the world was about to explode. It almost had, for them. “Theyre still looking into it, there’s no way this is permanent.” He was mostly talking to himself, nails digging into his thighs painfully and his voice wavering. Everyome had forgotten about the heat now. All of them looking at their hands like they were rediscovering quirk’s existence, their blood pumping like a wire could be set off at any moment. The tv played like it was underwater in the background now while momo paced around, anxious to take her mind off of the event or make it better, grabbing a cloth and cool glass of water and handing it over to Todoroki. He took it gingerly with hands thay trembled, dipping the cloth into the water with a nod and pressing it on his cheek. “Thank you.” He didn’t sound very thankful. He sounded stunned. It was easy to tell even through his calm facade, and he wasn’t the only one worrying.
